I recently bought an M8S Plus II TV box (2GB/16GB) and first thing I did was to install malwarebytes. It immediately found a trojan in the box. The trojan was the updater. Now there are 2 update programs. First is in the system partition (UPDATE&BACKUP), but the other one gets installed automatically after factory reset as user program(WirelessUpdate). The one which gets installed as user program is the problem.
It is com.fota.wirelessupdate-1 and it has a green/white/yellow icon with an arrow pointing up.
Can you tell if this is in all the MBOX M8S boxes? or the seller installed it?
Is this a real trojan or a misdetection? Because I checked with ESET and it didn't find it.

I hope you all can help me. We bought our daughter her first tablet this Christmas, but right away found issues with Adware. At first I thought it was something she installed, but after some investigating with Eset virus checker, we found that a preinstalled program has been hijacking the browser.
I have done a factory reset and the program resets with the tablet so I assume it's included in the ROM. I am able to uninstall the program from the tablet, but the damage is already done right after the reset. Eset no longer finds any threats, but when I load the browser for the first time it goes to Baidu.com as it's default homepage. When I change this to google and clear data etc.. I reload the browser to find the homepage changes every time to something new. ftzh.com, llr.com, etc..
Does anyone know a good fix for this that doesn't resort to resetting the tablet again? failing that are there any good generic ROM's that will work with this tablet.

Just I bought Samsung Gear S and I wanted to run (which seems to be the normal course of things )
I have a Galaxy S5 ROM including: Alexndr Cpd7 DevBase v3.3.
I installed Gear manager, no problem sparring phone with the watch and ran the manager - sought out his watch and appeared window "I join with Gear ...." and that all the fun is over. Whereupon the window hangs and end - it can not go on
I tested the connection on another phone: LG L2 - according to the handbook on xda downloaded the appropriate packages and everything installed. Gear manager is launched (of course the phone pairing) but is not a watch - you can not connect.
I have no idea - tell me what to do. Do you have any ideas?

Now I know that the problem lies with the ROM. I installed the original phone 4 a file ROM and joined up with a watch without a problem.
After the merger 4 updates installed ROM, which he downloaded system - I thought it would help.

I have a Trojan in a system file called 'Factory Test' I have tried soft reset and hard reset, but my BT virus Protect tells me it is still their. I am on PAYG with giff gaff and I was reimburse by giff gaff once for £16 65 but it has cleaned me out again! The trojan is called Artemis c34d750be335. It will not let me disable the app. My Doogee valencia 2 100y pro on android 5.1 security patch 01-01-2015 The BT virus protect mentions package name as com mediatek factroy mode. I have problem that I bought cheap android TV box ( model X98H PRO) and dont get me wrong, it is pretty good considering price... but I found one
major problem... my main IPTV app i want to run on this TV box doesnt recognize this box as TV but as phone... this comes with few caveats i want to avoid...
Can you help me how to fix this ? I thought for example, there could be some problem with build.prop ... some attribute which is causing this.. but I have no
clue which one... or is there other way ?
Is there any firmware image for Allwinner H618 but it is Android TV and not Android ?
