Can somebody tell me if i want to use applications in system/app folder of one phone in another , how can i do this?
For example i tried to copy the memo.apk (application) from samsung galaxy s2 to xperia play's system/app folder using root explorer. After rebooting i still could not find the memo applicaiton in my mobile. I also simply tried installing the memo .apk extracted from galaxy s2 in my xperia play but it could install.
Thanks.
That may be because of changed framework...
The system app has more than apk file like odex...
Hello All,
Apologies if this isn't in the correct forum, i hope it is. I've searched google and everything but i cannot get it to work.
Scenario:
I have 2 phones: Sony Z1 running Android 4.4.2 and Sony Z2 running Android 4.4.2
The Z2 has an CivilAlerts app for alerting NLALERT in the Netherlands. I would like to have that same app on the Z1 which doesn't have it.
I've tried the simple way
1. Copy the APK over to the SD card and installing it. Does not work
2. Copy the APK and ODEX file from the Z2 to the Z1 in the same directory (/system/priv-app) putting the rights on RW-R-R like other files in there, reboot but doesn't come up after reboot.
3. Same as above but putting it in the /system/app directory.
I've searched google how to install APK's and apparently it should be this simple. I've also downloaded other versions of the CivilAlerts.apk from this site but they also don't work. Can anybody help me with my problem?
With Best Regards,
I backed up my mail.apk before replacing it with a modified version. But the mod didn't work, so I've tried storing the old one. And it won't stay.
When I copy it over, via TWRP or manually, clear cache/dalvik, and reboot, a different file is there after reboot. And I cannot create Exchange accounts - neither those using office365 nor my own server which does not require admin rights.
The original file was dated 18 April 2014. The file I was replacing it with was from June 2014. The auto-restored file is from 01 Aug 2008 and is .5.05MB.
The ODEX is restored also, as 18 April 2014, regardless of what I put down or delete.
Where is the invalid /system/priv-apps/ getting the backup it's putting on from? How can I prevent this?
You should make sure you have system write protection off first
I was wondering taking up most of the "Large Files" on my phone are base.apk files. Can I delete the base.apk files from my phone especially if I know I've got a bum BLU F91 5G phone that I'll be replacing in a week or two and have to use a Smart Backup App to move everything I possibly can from the BLU phone to the New Smartphone?
Respectfully,
DB
Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 ULTRA, I installed Android 13 on it last Friday and then I Rooted my phone straight away.
I need to access the DATA folder, see what's in the folder and also make changes there but since switching to Android 13 I'm unable to see what's there inside. My old RootExplorer, SolidExplorer software does not give me access to the DATA folder.
Do you know of other software or do you have other solutions?
Thank you in advance for your assistance
try FX File Explorer with FX File Explorer (Root Add-On) #OR ES file explorer

Hi there,
a little feedback from me, I tried Fx File Explorer, Es File Exlorer and the latest version of MIXplorer and I still encounter the same problem, it puts impossible to move or copy files in the DATA folder since I am Upgraded to Android 13. Do you know of any other software or method that would do things in the DATA folder. Thank you in advance for your help and feedback. Good evening
Wrong message.
Would a truly rooted ADB cover your needs or do you really want to do stuff with fingers on the phone?
Hello, I need to access the DATA folder to transfer software files only because I have a Rooted phone. Do you have a solution, a software to offer me? Thank you in advance and above all have a good day
