From few days i have problem with touchscreen when the phone get hot, i can't use the phone when it happen, please help. Thanks a lot!
How i check it again and i saw sreen working just aroud the borders, i thinks it happen because of battery ? ?

Hey guys!
My new S3 ( bought 30 may ),I noticed a few days ago when it is in standby mode, the screen lights up for 10 sec, then goes off again.
This happen nearly every 3/4 times then it stops.
This is annoying when i'm sleeping, sometimes it wakes me up
Also clearing all apps and RAM does NOT work.
Also restarting the phone is only a temp. fix.
Anyone having the same problem or knows how to fix it, please share it with me

What app did she last installed?
My screen is black and it doesnt showing anything but i can unlock it(i hear the unlock sound). I tried flashing a stock firmware and it didnt help.
Does someone know how to fix it?

So it looks as a hardware problem, mabe with backlight of the display.
What was the last thing that you were doing before that problem (phone fall down, get wet, modify some libs, reload firmware)?

I flashed jj hybrid rom 3.2 and phone got wet a bit but i put the phone on warm and after a half an hour phone turned off and start vibrating.Day after i turned it on and i noticed that touchscreen is working but its black

hi mate, Do you always play games while you charging your phone? I think that is the cause of the problem, i had a blank screen problem too, but its not really bad bcoz when i push the on/off button on the top then push it again it will display the screen like a normal.And i notice this problem happened to me since i addicted to play a virtual tennis, i play till the battery drain and connected the charger and keep playing the game, after couple of day, then i got this problem. And one more thing, while i playing any games, i always used the home button to reply sms i got then i push the home button again to get back to the game i played.

its not working screen is still black
Hello,
i have this problem:
when i use my phone for a bit, there appears strange horizontal lines running across display a then it turns off. When i start phone again it shows that it has only 1% of battery. I have neat rom and previously i had resurrection remix a it had same problem.
I will appreaciate any advices.

Seems like a hardware issue mate! Does it occur on stock roms also? When did it start? Did the phone suffer any physical or water damage before?
Replace battery first, replace usb board/port second. If they don't work, take it to someone who knows what they're doing/can diagnose it.

on stock it wasnt happening. But i had stock rom just for two days and then i changed it. On neat rom it started after few days since i installed it. And there is one more problem: when the lines appears, the battery start to extremely drain a singal (carrier) dissapears. When i turn screen immediately off, after few minutes signal reappears.
The phone maybe fell few times, but not in water.
Okay, ill try to buy new battery and well see.
Hi hoping someone can help. Had my phone around 3 weeks now and all was great until yesterday. The screen just stopped reaction to touch mainly on the right hand side but I don't think that this is a hardware issue and the screen works everywhere when rotated. I tried a factory reset and problem is still there. I have never rooted a phone in my life so keep it simple haha. Thanks in advance

I have not had this problem, but I did have a similar problem on another phone before where part of the screen went dead , I think it's related to moisture try putting the phone somewhere dry or blow a fan on it for a few hours see if the touch comes back.

Display backlight is not working of a sudden even when i keep the brightness at max and second screen is working but the display is not working with good backlight ! I just took the phone from my pocket and what i seen is the display is dim ! Display is so dim even when the brightness is kept at full and i dont know how this happenned and someone tell me the way to solve this problem ! Screen is very dim even when i adjusted the brightness level at max and i even tried formatting phone but the issue remained same

Phone overheated a couple kf times and shutdown after this initially happened and consumed 2 full batter chages in minutes. Now the heat and battery problem is gone but screen still dark. Any ideas

I`m having the very same problem. Back light of the main screen is gone, and it doesn`t matter how I adjust it, it is always dark.
Have you guys solved your problem already? Any ideas?

Having the same issue as of yesterday, been Googling possible reasons and it seems the 'backlight controller' has malfunctioned and the entire screen needs replacing (allegedly). Considering a new screen costs almost as much as the V10 itself on ebay these days I'm going to be trying to take mine apart to see if an easier fix is possible, it is more than likely there isn't, but I at least have to try. Let me know if any of you guys have any luck in repairing your phones

Update: Having replaced the screen with a new replacement screen, I am still having the same issue, indicating an issue with either the mainboard and/or the chipset. Can't really go much further with this it would seem so unfortunately I don't think the issue has any DIY fix...

My LG70 just did this for a few minutes
My LG70 just did this for a few minutes. Scared me to think my phone was dying. Restarted, still the same. While I was googling it, the screen came back on. Hope it stays that way. Really strange to take it out of my pocket and only have the screen lit in the upper right hand corner. I hope this wasn't a preview of things to come. Love this phone and want it to last!
