My phone is not covered with any SIM
I've come this way from China, I've tried with several ROMs and with no coke coverage
Has it happened to someone ?
Please more details. What do you mean
coverage of what? signal 2g or data 3g, 4g?
Coverage, no signal to speak
The following are 2G bands, which should work every where:
1800 1900 850 900
So it could be damaged phone and you have to return it.

Not all networks operate a 2G still.

Hi guys, I'm traveling to the S.Miguel, Azores (Portugal) this weekend and will be bringing both my captivate and x10. I'm assuming that for voice they both should work (minus the missing 900mhz band), but can I get data? I usually would take an old v600 quad band phone which does a great job for calls on the vodafone network, but I would like to use my smartphones so that I can use my voip lines to speak to friends/family here without long distance charges.
Will I be able to use data with these phones?
Btw is the APN for vodafone internet.vodafone.pt?
Thanks!
Podem responder em português se for mais fácil.
i'm from Portugal
you can use xperia or other phone, you can use on 2g or 3g mode.. data package is available too in vodafone
i sugest you buy a vodafone Sim card here, it's a lot more cheaper too navigate instead of using roaming (taxes are very high)
vodafone sim cards should be available in the airport... search somewhere like in those place that sell magazines... it's usual in here to find sim cards with a cost of 5 euro

I hope you're right about the 2G and 3G working, but I don't know how the coverage will be on the island without 900mhz band. North American models (X10a) have 850mhz instead of 900, the other frequencies I think are the same.
As for vodaphone SIM cards, I did that 3 or 4 times already with older phones Not a chance I'll be paying $300+ to my local provider because of roaming
Just be sure the handsets are unlocked and you will be fine.
Portugal is 2G (GSM ) 900 1800 3G 2100
Xperia x10a 2G (GSM ) 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 / 800
You will get 2g and 3g there no issues what so ever.
Vodafone is an excellent option anywhere in the EU any q's just pm me I am eurotrash so I am able to assist

Well that pretty much answers my main question. Thank you! Just need to google the APN settings when I get there
Actually you do not need to. The Vodafone sim will add them for you. Well thats has been my case using Vodafone.DE/NL/GR

LOL, I watched that episode last sunday.
Don't worry, they sell nair at the local Hiper Modelo ;-)
Since everyone is talking about global ability of Rezound, can anyone shed some light on the supported freq bands by Rezound? Thanks
GSM: ??? MHz
WCDMA(UMTS): ??? MHz
HSPA: ??? MHz
LTE: ??? MHz
According to gsmarena.com for htc_rezound-4099, can anyone verify if it works in your country's carrier, and under what data coverage?! Thanks.
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
WCDMA(UMTS): ??? MHz
HSPA: 900/2100 MHz
LTE: 700 MHz
And if wherever country/carrier you are gonna use Rezound in, I assume it will have the data coverage as long as the phone supports its frequency (like HSPA/LTE)?! Cuz somehow a lot of people are saying they only have 2G (GSM) EDGE data in their country carriers...

For those who are interested in using this phone in Japan, this is the reply I got from NTT Docomo:
<3G (W-CDMA)>
2.1GHz-band
<Xi (LTE service)>
2GHz-band
(1.5GHz-band is planned to be used starting from April, 2012.)
<FOMA (HSPA??)>
1.7GHz-band, 2GHz-band, 800MHz-band
(1.7GHz-band is used only in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.)
So now I am not sure if Rezound can pick up any HSPA/LTE data connection in Japan. Maybe just WCDMA? Anyone can provide their experience or verify for me?
Softbank has 2100MHz band as well.
Right now using its voice and receiving SMS only.
Havent had the time to test different APN settings for 3G data, receiving MMS or sending SMS. But Japanese carriers have particular way of charging you absurd amount of money for data usage (even you purchase unlimited plan) if you use other carrier's phone with their SIM card.
there are many threads explaining the problems of the rezound in global frequencies. and they summarize all the information u need easily. jus do a quick search

yeah but it's posible that works men because i really want to know, without signal its a useless phone, and i want to have 3g data unlimited like they offer and i really love this phone
thats why i put t-mobile frecuency so you can see if it is possible
According to Wikipedia, T-Mobile uses 1700 MHz and 1900 MHz for UMTS, the S5830L uses 850 / 1900 MHz for UMTS/3G/HSDPA, so in theory it should work.
What is the rom that you're using?
You can try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399917

Thanks men tell you what happens
No problem, if it doesn't work, I have another idea.
As I was saying to another user with the same problem, I found that Galaxy Ace doesn't work with T-Mobile 3G, only with AT&T 3G, I got this from Wikipedia:
AT&T GSM/3G 850/1900mhz
T-Mobile USA GSM 1900mhz 3G 1700mhz 4G (only) 1900mhz
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Lista_de_operadores_GSM#EUA
Galaxy Ace can work with all these frequencies except 1700:
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_ace_s5830-3724.php
It will work only on 2G with T-Mobile.

No 4g.
Ive only recently had my area refarmed on the 1900mhz band and get 4g. Well hspa plus, but you have to be in a refarmed area, or in a 4g lte area to pick up 4g. As as far as my research has gone the o/g optimus g no 1700/2100 aws support. But it does support lte and 1900 mhz. As for the att xperia ion surprisingly supports 4g hspa plus in my area, hit 14mbps down and like 2mbps up. On the refarm ive hit as fast as 9 down and about 1 up or so. Hope this helps.
---------- Post added at 12:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 AM ----------
epc.t-mobile.com gives you faster hspa plus speeds than running fast.t-mobile.com i have no clue why but the epc setting give me close to double the speeds. im not sure if its to even out the spit between hspa plus and lte but yeah.
I have US T-Mobile for my provider, and when I landed in Japan I didn't receive any cell phone signal, unlike other countries where the phone would hop onto a network and then I'd receive a text message from T-Mobile saying something like, "Welcome to [country]. Enjoy unlimited 3G and text messaging, phone calls are 20 cents per minute." Does the phone work in Japan? I took the phone to SoftBank because my wife's LG G3 was able to hop onto their network when we landed, but the guy at the counter said that the phone may not be allowed to work on the Japanese network, and to find out the regulatory information about the phone. He then showed me how to look up regulatory information on an iPhone, but the Moto E (as well as my wife's G3), didn't have regulatory information listed in the legal information menu.
Anyway, this is what Motorola lists for bands for the phone:
Moto E with 4G LTE - US GSM (XT1527):
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 1700 (AWS), 1900 MHz)
4G LTE (2, 4, 5, 7, 17)
Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
Thanks!
I took the phone to ntt docomo today, and they tested it out without any luck. However, my wife's LG G3 passed with flying colors. So now she's on the docomo network with one of their SIM cards.
First I'd suggest selecting 3g only in settings.

If that doesn't fix it, follow the instructions in the link below to create an alternate T-Mobile apn and try that. I've been in Osaka recently and I can't remember if my phone worked or not, I think I had to switch to my nexus 5 there, but I can't remember. Hope this helps. https://forums.motorola.com/posts/2fc3b123a0
