[Q] New digitizer, phone freezes, cracked one-phone 100%?

I replaced a Lumia digitizer for a friend. He didn't do too much research which one to go for. The digitizer is brand new, even has the Nokia logo on top right. I assembled everything, was happy with the result. I switched it on. Perfect. But when I started playing with the phone after a couple of seconds it hang, only soft or hard reset gets out of it. Sometimes the phone won't boot up either stays stuck on AT&T logo. It happens to me every time when I switch it on. The broken digitizer still working, no freezing with it. Did soft and hard reset, no success. Did he got a bad screen I wonder? The phone was perfect when cracked.
(I don't have the micro sim, so I can't try to use it with a sim card. But I doubt this would be the problem, with the cracked screen it happily ticked away with no sim card inserted)
What do you think? Thank you!

It's common problem with digitizers - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or1mcpaVxOU comments below the video.
Obviously there are many non original digitizers.

touch not working

One day out of sudden while using the phone causally, I found out that the touch isn't recognized in the middle column of the screen
I tried to take it to all the local shops but I couldn't find a replacement screen
Is there anything else i could possibly do?
Or should I just buy a new phone?

Moto X4 (XT1900-7) Touchscreen Problems

Hi, so I recently changed my cracked touchscreen to an 3rd party one and 3 months have passed (warranty went out) and the phone sometimes doesn't want to respond to touch. Sometimes I fix it by rebooting the phone by holding power button for 8 seconds, other times I just knock the screen and it fixes right up. But today, neither a reboot or a knock on the screen would help, I have tried removing SIM and SD card, putting Android in Safe mode, but no success. Should I put back my original cracked screen back, or should I move on ? If so, the phone was IP68 water resistant and the screen still has that waterproof seal, which is a pain in the a## to remove. If I try to use heat to remove it, I'm risking to damage the rubbin cable. Help will be really appreciated !
Edit : The phone hasn't been touched or moved when the problem occurs.

[Q] 2019: Reviving My X10 Mini e10i

I'm reviving my x10 mini e10i this year 2019! I really want this phone because there was a sentimental value which was gave to me by my aunt last 2011. Also, it's really cute android phone!!! I successfully flashed 2.1.1.C, locked bootloader, rooted by flashtool but problems are as follows:
1. No sim card in phone as stated in Lock Screen (my sim is currently working on other phone) Don't know if PC Companion will fix this and also msm7227.
2. Dimmed Lights on edges (As I suspect, backlight is now low as my x10 mini was used before the battery was dead last 2013.) Planning to buy lcd replacement.
3. Battery. I ordered class B battery and don't know if it will last longer. So hope I can learn how to modded ep500 battery soon.
4. Camera LED Flash was already burnt out. No lights when taking picture. Can I replace it? (As an update, I figured out that LED flash is part of the sim card flex. Is it possible that sim card ribbon was already damaged that's why the phone says insert sim card and no led flash when taking picture?)
As an update, my phone has now a signal! I just figured out that I didn't connect the sim card ribbon flex to the phone that's why it doesn't have network and camera led flash.
As an update again, I found out that earpiece is not working anymore. Does earpiece is part of the lcd?
