Hello. My first post in XDA.
I want to root my Coolpad Note 3 Lite without a PC. It runs on Marshmallow V7 aka CoolUI 8.0 with only stock recovery.
I tried Kingroot, Kingoroot, Iroot, Vroot, Z4root, Towelroot. None worked.
Both TWRP flashable and SP Flash Tool flashable versions of Lollipop stock ROM are available.
Can I flash this Lollipop stock ROM using stock recovery's install manual update?
You cannot root Marshmallow without PC.
You need to flash TWRP via SP flash tool and then in TWRP flash Supersu
And no you cannot flash Lollipop via Stock Recovery ( not sure )

Why rush to Marshmallow?
But, if you want to flash it, there is a thread on MIUI forum for Marshmallow Kate ( bootloader unlock, TWRP and root ).
My suggestion would be to wait for a while, and see how the situation with MM works out. No need to rush. It's not that you REALLY NEED Marshmallow in your life.
And whats wrong with MM?
my china dev 6.11.3 is stable and smooth, also inbuilt root
you need cofface or ZCX twrp to flash official ROMs without patch.
also if you have official unlocked BL then you can unlock it as many times you want/need on dev rom.
i suggest china dev, china firmware is better imo and I have tried all 4 variants for kenzo.
you can also flash it through miflash with fastboot ROM, thats how I do it, I got bootloop few times when flashing recovery and I used cofface twrp...
How to root miui8 MM stable?? i flashed the full ROM via TWRP and whenever i flash supersu it ends up in bootloop...
Lenovo vibe x2- how to, root, install recovery & custom rom. i need full tutorial :/
Can anyone tell me or show me the full tutorial (for lenovo vibe x2 eu) how to root, install custom recovery & custom rom. I prefer the Marshmallow 6.0. But i don't how buggy it is.. I'm currently on 5.0.
I am on Lollipop. I used SPFlashtool. Watch out when installing custom or official roms, because you can easily delete your IMEI. My both IMEIs were lost and I used the Chamelephon app to restore them. I don't know how to install custom recovery (mine is in Chinese). Hope this helps.
Hi

I've gone and made a backup the TWRP link in OP and the updated SP Flash above. If someone needs a fresh link in the case these ever get taken down, let me know.
Btw, thanks for this. You've saved my ass once because I soft bricked and wasn't getting OTA.

Samsung Xcover 4 SM-G390F Root Magisk + TWRP +Disable Encryption Oreo/Pie (2019/2020)
Hi, Finally I had time to finish my work on Xcover 4. I couldn't disable ForceEncryption by any flashable tool so I prepared 2 version of firmware (Oreo and Pie), both prerooted (Magisk) and free from Force Encryption. Everything except boot.img...
