Hello.
I have M4 Aqua and a few months ago I installed 6.0.1. I wanted install one app but I can't because I don't have any space. I have only apps which I need. I disabled pre installed apps like "amazon shopping" but now I have to delete them. I can't unlock bootloader. What can I do?
u can try partition sd card and adoptive storage
there's guide for it
i think it's better if u root it for customize

Friends,
Can any tell me why some of the apps I have downloaded cannot be moved to SD?(the option is blanked out). Is there any way to do a workaround this limitation?
Thanks.
Applications that run as services and widgets can't be moved to SD card - Froyo (Android 2.2.x) limitation. The workaround is to use app2sd (aka "a2sd") or link2sd, applications that make use of an ext-type partition on your SD card and link the system and data folders to that partition. Doing so, the apps will physically install on the SD card, even those who aren't supposed to (services and widgets I mentioned earlier). Also, apps already installed in your phone can be moved.
Feel free to search the forum and the web for more details about how they work and how to install and use them.
Thanks for quick reply. Still puzzled. Do I have to root in order to install apps2sd? If so how to get around the no root limitation to my 2.2.1? I do not wish to downgrade. Thanks again.
If you don't want to downgrade and/or install a custom ROM that has Darktremor's apps2sd (follow the link and read that post anyway, it's useful info), then you need a tool able to force-move the applications to SD card. I can't help you with any suggestion here so you have to search the Market or any other source you trust. But if that tool needs root rights you're stuck again, because 2.2.1 can't be rooted at the moment.
...do I force the apps to move to the SD card anyhow (and still have them work as before?)
I also would like a list of apps recommended not to move so I don't move them by mistake.
Having only 1.83GB available is getting on my nerves and I'm not getting used to it.
My last phone - Sony Ericsson Xperia Play had allowed moving to SD card so I wish all other Android phones would too.
So how do I disable whatever barrier prevents app-moving, and finally get them moving to my SD card?
I already rooted the phone, and TWRP doesn't allow me to select the tickbox to "Mount SD Card." I already partitioned it to get it ready to mount.
if u force to sd, app should work well except some widgets...Install Rom tool box, there u get an option where to install app Internal/sd/auto...
Hello, I've recently moved on from iOS and embraced android with the Sony Xperia Z2. I've unlocked the boot loader and successfully rooted the device and everything is A-OKAY. However, no matter what I do, I cannot install APK's to the SD card at all. When I switch installer default location to SD card, everytime, I receive the error "Cannot Install XXX Because there is no free space". When I revert to internal, everything works. I'm not sure whether what I'm trying to do is possible, if so please inform me. Anyways, here are the steps I've completed already (all of which did nothing, I'm afraid).
1. Installed and Used, SDFIX from GPlay store (Success message)
2. Edited platform.xml in systems/permissions/ to include new permissions (no change what soever)
3. Formatted the SD card, there and back again, from fat32 to exfat (no change whatsoever)
Apologies for the long message but I am truly at my wits end. All I want to naturally install apps directly on my SD card. I'm new to the world of Android so please be patient.
Edit: Currently attempting the Foldermount option
Try xposed installer and xposed module handle external storage
It alows read and write to your external sdcard
This may possibly solve your problem
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Google disabled sd card write permission for third party apps like foldermount..
You already rooted phone great! Now use this app its very simple to do https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix
Once you got it install link2sd and you are ready to go
Hey guys.
As you might know , we , kitkat 4.4.4 users can't install app in our sd card , so I'm here to ask if someone know a way to get the possibility.
I'm pretty new into phones and android , so it's a bit confusing for me. Do I have to install a custom ROM ? Do I have to wait for lolipop ?
Good night.
U will have to root ur device then install folder mount app to move all your data to SD card
Even though you have to inform yourself first very well, using Xposed and a module called XInternalSD works perfectly for apps that can occupy a lot of space on the Data folder, which can be just moved to the External SD Card.
I'm having a strange problem. All of my movable apps are in sd card and I've also uninstalled and disabled some bloatware, but my internal storage is full!! 7.40 out of 8 to be exact. 3.40 gb of apps!! When all of my apps are on sd card except some system apps.
I have a e2312. Non rooted. Please someone help me out
buffing up the question , same problem here ...
Root and delete bloatware. Disabling doesn't free enough space. Install sd maid.
bloatware fully deleted and still 7,30GB od 8GB free...
Do clean install.
Check folder content. Some Apps like QQ, Wechat and other social messengers keep a lot of useless data in you internal storage.
which folder do you mean ?
i don't wanna void my warranty as i have a few months left so i can't root my phone for now. and i did a clean install via flashtool a few days back. any other things i can try apart from a clean install?
Since you don't want to root and use links2sd, you may want to try Adoptive Storage option via ADB
