That's normal, if it doesn't work there is nothing you can do.
Anyway why would you want to charge your phone turned off? Use airplane mode instead.

Try to calibrate battery:
Drain battery untill phone power off itself.
Plug in the charger and wait a couple of minutes
While phone is charging, power it on, switch off all connections and lock it.
Let it charge alone till 100% then wait 20 minutes more.
Reboot phone to cwm and wipe battery stats.
Reboot phone and wait 10 minutes after it reaches 100% of charge (just wait if charge has not gone down)
Finally plug off the charger.
Now only for the next time plug charger in only after phone has shut it off by itself, then charge directly to the 100%.
After this problem should be gone, if not change battery pack or go to service.
Flashing roms frequently is by far the best cause to get a bad calibration.

I have flashed almost every ROM but not frequently... Minimum of a month apart from trying each ROM... Is it bad? Currently using AOKP by mikegapinski and the previous stable ROM i was using was Pureness Build 14 by ThilinaC.

I have solved this issue - 3 days -, now it works.
When your phone arrive at 20% --> 1% start to charge.
Shut down your phone and go to sleep.
This operation for 3 days.
Only for the first morning, reboot your phone (always in charge) and go to cwm. Clear battery stats.
Reboot, wait 5 mins with the phone in charge and after unplugged.
In the 4° day yo can charge with your phone on and you must see 1% --> 2% etc...if display shows that, your phone works.
During the day, if your charge are finishing, you can charge (not full).
Ok?

Hi guys.
I have an issue on my SGS2. When phone sleeps for some time it wont wake up more. I need to press on/off button and it starts again. Its like phone shutts down. Its not all the time. Maybe once a day.
It happens on all custom roms so its not rom related. I tryed even both siyah and dorimanx and same thing happens. So i dont even think its kernel related. Is there any app that i can use and see what happens when phone shut down?
Thanks

You got a fuel gauge going on there.
Let it drain till it's off, charge till it's full, remove the batter (all this with the device off) for 90 sec aprox.
Put it back, power on.

You can drain the batter while phone is off by leaving it aside for 3-5 weeks, got the time?
Now, yeah; that stweak's trick works too.
Fuel gauge is you battery settling in.

How to reset battery stats on phone with no root ? I have a few options Help Please
Hi , I have posted my query in the oneplus 2 forum twice , but sadly no reply , But I have a oneplus 2 phone , in general it is working great.........BUT my battery stats are not reporting correctly.
Okay I have tried the fully discharge , fully recharge method etc etc......
So I thought perhaps fully charge the phone to 100 percent , then do a full reset ( But Will this reset my battery stats ??)
Or I have two options when turning the phone on with power pressed and volume down.....
1) Wipe data
2) Wipe cache
Ideally I do not want to fully reset my phone it is set up just nice and how I like it.....BUT the battery thing is niggling me too much...
I know the battery is not faulty because if I follow this procedure the battery is great all day....fully charge , then let it run down say a few percent
Charge your phone to 100% this will wipe the stats aka battery.bin

Useless, 6 hours charge why??? Circuit board will cut current once 100% is reached, 4 extra hours won't help
Just use your phone, check wakelocks, and don't worry about battery calibration is not necessary on any lithium based battery.

Hi,
my problem is, that whatever rom or kernel I use, my battery backup is ok until it reaches ca. 30 %. Then my phone suddenly shuts down and had no battery left. See screenshot for details. Before (from 100 - 30%) everything is normal.
At the moment I'm using latest BeastRom (see second screenshot), rooted with Magisk and no Gapps.
Thanks for your help.

Is there any tutorial, how to "disconnect and reconnect battery".
I found one:

I'll test it later today and will report back in a few days, of it worked

I first shut down the phone and then disconnected the battery. The problem seems now solved after the first charging circle. But I'll test it at the moment with the second charging circle.
