Help, I can not use the camera on most ROM!
I use
[ROM][7.1.2][OFFICIAL] ResurrectionRemix 5.8.3 [18/06],
asop7.1.2,
mokee7.1.2
can not be used after the camera, every time I brush into the rom will be flash the
(cm-14.1-mido-firmware) and third wipe before and formatting data.
But I use the

on the camera no problem, the other is all normal! I tried many times, the results are still, but other users do not have such a problem!

when I use some ROMs.
I can only use the front camera can not switch to the rear camera.
Are u using the correct rom. I also have the same phn but i didn't face any problem. Try clean reflashing. And always flash firmware 1st followed by rom and gapps

Hi Me and my Friend have the same issue, Every time we flashed Custom rom on our redmi note 4x we encounterd rear camera bug it has no switch option to back, and i also notice that Torch is not working on all custom rom except MIUI BASED CUSTOM rom, it works well on our device. I'll provide you the link of the rom and the screenshot of the camera.

if we use the rom which one we can download before June 8, that we can use the camera, for example the aex rom 2017.06.08.

actually I still don't know the solution, I hope one of the member here / redmi note 4x user share how he/she fixed the error if there is. I'm sorry i have the device for only 2 days thats why im not familiar much on this.

Try Halogen OS.

You gove Redmi Note 4X like mine.
Whe got diffrent camera from the other Redmi Note 4 and 4X.
Our camera is Omnivision Ov13855.
We need some one to port the camera files and make it to arichive(zip).
There is nothing we can do now.
I already told you.
Flash Halogen OS and the camera will work.
We need some one to make the fix.
Thats all.
its just a driver problem as i know. developers must put the 3 camera sensor (as we known, rn4/4x has 3 camera sensor) to the gerrit(?) change for camera support. omnivision camera user like me must wait the developers.
im using aex released date april 25 because it the only Aex version that support omnivision, Im hoping and praying that Developers will fix some of the issue on non-miui based rom. Kuddos Developer for all the hard work you've done to our device.

I have flashed other ROM and tried front Cam is working fine. Again flashed this ROM same issue faced no front Cam. Leaving that every thing is fine and superb. Thank you
This is good ROM ,everything works perfect ,gives 500 mb free ram .I have only 2 suggestions:-
1. Make hardware home button-work for recent app menu ,for now have to enable nav bar -which looks weird with 2 set of buttons.
2. Why is there no selfie front camera ? and back camera shows only 3 mp?
this can be resolved by flashing 16mp patch but its just to mention .

i am also having the same issue
no front cam
The rom is cool but has following problems:
1. NVRAM error, i.e. no network as formatting system on stock or custom rom makes IMEI no. lost, then even Droid tools, mobileuncle etc. can't restore it. droid tools says fake scatter, mtk6582 instead of mtk6589 on restoration attempt.
2. Root status is not clear, sometimes it was there other times not. I reflashed the rom 3-5 times from scratch.
3. Google keyboard crashes on supersu update or su binary installation or 16mp kitkat cam patch flashing.(the rom is Not Marshmellow, it says kitkat and xposed installation of marshmellow version was unsuccessful, also saying flash kitkat version.
4. front cam switch is not there. How can you say it works? Main Camera shows only 3mp. Although 16mp patch works smoothly.
5. please specify which recovery to use and clear steps to flash rom, when to clear user data, format system,wipe cache etc... or not. Different roms and recoveries work differently like Resurrection Remix where you have to reset 2-3 times for smooth working.

Xperia Camera app needs the feature: com.sonyericsson.cameraextension.CameraExtension$SceneRecognitionCallback.
Scene recognition callback is a "must have" for the latest Sony Camera to work. So it won't work on G4 and i won't port any older useless camera app.
*It does not even work for many of the Sony phones*.
**I did not remove the camera port from the installer, maybe someone will flash it on another phone and works there. If Sony Camera does not work on your phone simply disable it.

I also, took out alot of stuff that just would not work with our (my) device... camera was one, lifelog, lounge(useless in my eyes)

Am I seeing double in it though? _MM and _N ?
I'll give it a shot in a few days... I just released v8 of mine, so I want to settle in a little... I'll have to change the flasher a tad (to delete the stuff I already have in mine for being replaced by yours) as well :laugh::cyclops:

MM and N are there because one of them won't get installed on api24+ and one of them won't be installed on api24-. On boot the ones that are for another api, are going to be deleted automatically always

Nice. I will help you with the h815 asap. Mine here is different. It can be flashed at any rom as always.
I don't use all vendor, framework and libs, i only port the apps and their dependencies. That way people can flash it on any device (MM or N, stock or lineage based).

THIS ROM ISNT DEVELOPED BY ME, I JUST DEBLOAT IT!
I stoped it since im not interestind in miui with dpi glitch, for newer go here, this guy is doing good job
What i did? i debloat it, and add gapps,change apps to global, change dafault language etc.
Why i did it? because MIUI 9 thread for this phone on xda was closed.
this rom is stable for daily use, however few bugs are here:
- system x apps dpi, since default dpi of this rom is 640 it couse non-system apps bit bigger, you can also use 560 version but it will make system but smaller, this is since MIUI 8 roms, i guess it is because 2k display
- MIUI security app sometimes crash
- some global apps have still CN features

the problem of dormant notifications is common to all the Rom with android marshmallow unfortunately.
system x apps dpi, since default dpi of this rom is 640 it couse non-system apps bit bigger, you can also use 560 version but it will make system but smaller, this is since MIUI 8 roms, i guess it is because 2k display........
Is there a way to fix this? even changing to 1080p does not work

i tryed use 1080p it works well but looks bit oddly, anyway 560 ist that bad im using it right now
Can I ask you something? The original zip from romzj.com are flashable trought twrp too? I can't read any instructions from website. I already download one rom from this website but I don't know how yo install it? Can you help me please.

I think so, in any case if it does not work the flash procedure freezes.

I used only english and yes it is multilanguage as described by developer

Do you even know what multilanguage is? About 50+ languages and since this debloated ROM is based on CN it ISNT multilanguage

It doesn't even detect headphones. But! Bluetooth headphones work fine.

I use Korean Model and just do the Vietnam CSC and my SKC CSC worked

IronKernel (Nougat) , don't flash any kernel the rom came with kernel already

S9+ camera it's not really a bug , you can still use N8 camera .
Intelligent scan also ... not needed for daily use

maybe some people want to use Intelligent scan and need this.
about the camera i agree, yet so people won't have hope to get the new camera app.
the only reason i won't install now is the headphone for me... can't live without this

of course, agree with you, but inteligent scan not present in N8 7.1.1 and S9 camera useless for the moment
anyway I use a bt headphone .. this is why I say dayli use is ok for me

I have miui 10 Eu 8.7.19 and yesterday i see a OTA update to 8.7.26 and i tried to download it but the download do not end (i think internet connection problem that on this place is unstable). This morning i try to update next time but the OTA update say 8.8.9 version but if i try to update say that i have the last version :|

Try to remove cache and try again or download the latest rom and flash it manually in Twrp.

Thank you for your responce, The cache is The file on "root" folder? I see only the old download 8.7.26 with "temp" extension and the md5 file for 8.8.9 but deleted it the problem still here

It's supports the Project Treble roms but I don't have figured it out how to use them on the Mi 8
project treble rom will work ofcourse but the problem is that no one will fix for any encountered bugs specifically for our device oh before i forgot the notch also will be a problem

No GPS app report the mobile as being using the dual signal.
The accuracy is around 16m for most users (4m at best near China while moving) way far from the theoretical 30cm reported by Xiaomi.
I've tried myself with the Chinese ROM, the beta, the global and the Xiaomi.eu and I can confirm it. It's not supported yet.
