[Q] Poor Voice Clarity on LG optimus one

I bought my LG P500 1 month back and have rooted it and installled the VOID ROM couple of days back. I run it with my AIRTEL SIM.
I have noticed that the in-call voice quality is poor with poor clarity; I feel the voice is not crisp and not differentiated from the background noise.
Is this a problem which you people are also facing?
Is it the handset to be blamed or the VOID ROM or something else? Can this be fixed.
I've noticed this problem too, but after few days i've got used with this. You can't get best quality at the lowest price.
I haven't faced any such issues. Thanks.

Is there any way to improve call reception other than changing modem?

Hi, I have a UK based i9100 that I am using on the Telstra network (Australia).
I am losing signal in my kitchen and other parts of my house.
The strange thing is, that I can hear the other party loud and clear, but to them I keep breaking up and they eventually can't hear me.
On 2g it is the same but the call quality is bad-crackling a bit and a pulsing sound of the radio trying to hold a signal. It takes a bit longer to break up and drop my call, but it still happens.
I have tried every modem and there is little difference, as well as flashing the stock Telstra i9100-T firmware.
So, I am asking if there is anything else to try-can different kernels make a difference? Could the CSC make a difference? Is there a possibility of modifying something to put more power into the modem? Anything else?
I have not had this issue with a htc desire and a motorola defy.
I have had it with previous phones in other networks.
It seems my only option is to trade it for an iphone 4 (I have seen working perfectly) or something else....which is a shame, as this phone is otherwise close to perfect.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Edited- Swypo typos...

[Q] Callers cannot hear me

Purchased an S3 (i9300) in October - 4.0.4 ICS
Rooted
Flashed CWM Touch 6.1.2
Updated ROM to stock UK ROM - JB 4.1.1
On both the ICS ROM and the JB ROM I had a problem with call volume fading during calls.
I can hear the other end perfectly on both speakerphone and normal, but........
about once every 6 minutes for 10 seconds the call recipient says my voice becomes indistinct to the point of not hearing me. Bluetooth headset doesn't help.
It doesn't matter whether I call them or they call me.
I have 5 bars of signal on my phone and it happens when I'm calling a fixed line phone or a mobile.
I'm with Telstra Australia and have had them run tests which reveal nothing..
Samsung haven't heard of the problem.
Has anyone come across this problem?
Suggested Fix??
it's the modem I think I'm in Sydney and I had too try a few different ones till I found XXDID works good on Telstra

All those issues are modem/baseband related. Find the modem that suits with your provider, there is a thread dedicated to modems.

Cyanogenmod 11 on E970 on T-Mobile -- How to Flash Radios?

I just updated my E970 to CM 11, and everything appears to be working great. My only issues so far are these:
1) I can't hear anybody during voice calls.
2) The signal appears to be slightly weak? I haven't had the phone for too long, but my mobile network signal appears to be slightly weaker than when I was on JB.
I have read that one way to fix the issue with the voice calls is to flash a hybrid radio, but I have not a clue how to do that. Could somebody please offer some assistance? Thanks in advance.

There's a thread in the General section that discusses the hybrid modems for tmo with links to them. You flash it just like flashing a rom.
As far as the signal strength, stock bars are typically higher than custom roms due to custom giving you a true reading and stock/carrier fudging theirs.

VoLTE debate

I really don't see the reason to have VoLTE enable on our device: this is probably cause I never tried it out, cause I didn't have a reason to do that: the calling quality is already good.
So, my question is for who are using this feature: does it really improve the quality? Is the improvement sensible or is only a "placebo effect"?
Someday I'll surely try it, and I want to arrive to that moment prepared and without fake hopes
I think u are not an Indian.
Redmi note 3 snapdragon version was specially designed for Indian market, the reason why Indians in most of custom ROM want volte is because of Reliance Jio which is a new and the fastest growing telecom company in the world.
The company provides us free 1 GB 4g internet everyday, free voice calls and video calls and subscription to its many entertainment apps.
The problem we face is that the sim works on only volte enabled 4g phones so if volte is not working in ROM we have to download an app which enables us to make calls on non volte supported 4g phones which we don't like.
Plus with volte we get full HD voice which is impressive.
So volte is very important for Indians.
Press the thanks button if u are satisfied.
