Hi,everyone!!
So I am a first timer in such stuff,Anyways,i was looking to flash lineage os 13 rom and hence tried to install TWRP v3.0.2.Since there isn't a dedicated thread or such,I had to try generic MT6582 TWRP.
So i had rooted using kingoroot and flashed a twrp from droidadda using flashr.I had a gray screen with little flickering when i restarted and after that the screen was inverted.Touch left and right side on screen is pressed and vice versa.Same with up and down.Currently on TWRP 3.0.2 with lineage os 13.Can navigate device and use root explorer and such.

Lenovo VIBE Z2 (NOT PRO) stuck at hard reset progress bar

Hello, maybe anyone has similar problem. I rooted Lenovo Vibe Z2 (mini, not pro. 5,5 inch, ver 32G internal), using kingoroot. Everything was fine but i decided to replace superuser app provided with kingoroot to supersu. During install Supersu Free app assked me for binary update method: normal or twrp, normal didnt work so I picked twrp. Phone after reboot stuck at lenovo logo. I can enter lenovo recovery power+vol up+vol down and did wipe user data, fuse wipe data, fuse format data. After reboot I have progress bar suck at about 5%. Process takes forever, after couple hours its progressing 1 milimeter. After reboot device every time now enter into hard reset progress at stuck as described above.
At the moment I'dont know it's possible to fix it or device need flash new rom? I know it's not popular model (not pro but mini), delivered from singapore (china) so I suppose its china rom. Factory rom was 5.0.1.
Someone has some idea? Please help.

Weird SPFT behaviour - TWRP flashes successfully, but stock recovery keeps showing up

Hi XDA,
I'm trying to root my Blackview BV6000/Cherry Moile Defender. Doing this the SPFT way as described in http://www.gizbeat.com/10576/blackview-bv6000-twrp-and-root-mt6755-helio-p10-guide/ .
Issue is, SPFT says flashing is ok and i get the check mark at the end. I even managed to format the phone's emmc and soft bricked it and revived it back - booted and usable. Did this by getting a full ROM image set from needrom.
So, I try to keep flashing using the scatter file which came with the TWRP image zip file set. Funny thing is, it won't flash if I don't specify a preloader file.
So I specify one pointing to the preloader.bin which came from a full set ROM. It will flash successfully. Problem is, when I try to load the recovery, it shows the STOCK recovery which came with the device when I power it on.
I tried to "cheat" this by placing the TWRP recovery image and placed it in a working SPFT rom set in place of the stock recovery image. The full ROM images flashes successfully, but i still get the stock recovery when pressing vol up+power buttons.
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? can someone help/explain???
Thanks,

Yes, everything is very simple really! After installing TWRP you need to immediately log into it ... if you boot into the system then TWRP will be overwritten ..
TWRP use on the core 0919

Hi. I do not really know if I can help but I had a similar issue with a Lenovo device of mine. I went through flashing TWRP over and over again without ever being able to actually boot to it. All I was getting was stock recovery.
In the end I installed root essentials which has a really helpful option to boot straight to recovery. Literally with the press of a button! Worked perfectly!
What I realized was that recovery was flashed correctly from the beginning but I could not access it with power button and volume plus or minus combinations. What I was seeing with those combos, was factory settings, which is different from recovery.
Give it a shot if you wish, either install root essentials or any other app of your choice. An app that "opens up" more reboot options than stock. Having root, there are quite a few out there.
Finally figured it out.
The ROM I got had startup scripts which reverted the recovery image at boot time!!!!
Solution: I flash the ROM, then flash TWRP recovery right away, then access recovery before first boot then install root so the scripts don't work given that prompt at TWRP exit to prevent loss of root access.

TWRP no loading or booting same for recovery Eui !

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my leeco Le max 2 - 6gb/64gb (x820).
I installed the ROM EUi cuoco92 and I would like to install a new rom (lineageOS 7.1.2 for LeEco MAX2)
I installed a new recovery on the official site, I followed the steps (install adb, drivers, unlock the boot loader ok and install Twrp)
When I finish it is not going to start on the twrp at startup there's marked recovery then a black screen and it vibrates several times to finally start normally on the old ROM)
Trwp no loadind or booting same for recovery Eui ! :crying:
I responded to the manipulation several times, I do not know what to do
Thank you and your help :good:
You'd be better off installing cuocos recovery. I had trouble with flashing roms with official twrp. You can find the file on cuocos thread

Installing twrp on me Max 2
Ok, not sure if this is your problem - when trying to install twrp, that the installation all goes through correctly, but when rebooting - twrp has not loaded.
I have had the same problem on two Le Max phones now. I originally found the solution on xda ( or another site ) but only just remembered it just now .....
The solution is - after the install of twrp has completed on the phone you will be left with a screen with an image of 3gears, Chinese writing and in English - you've entered Fastboot Mode etc... , you need to hold the lower ( smaller ) power button down to make it reboot
But Immediately as it starts to reboot release the power button and quickly push and HOLD the volume button top ( up ) , then quickly do the same with the power button. The phone will beep a couple of times, release the buttons and the phone will boot into twrp.
It appears that if you don't carry out this sequence then the original startup sequence restarts and wipes the new twrp install, meaning that you have to go through the whole twrp sequence again. ( I've done it so many times now i've got really fast .... )

Lenovo Tab 3 7 Essential TB3-710F Bootloop

Hi.
I bought a Lenovo tab 3 7 Essential (TB3-710F, MediaTek MT8127 chipset) to use as a car computer.
First, I unlocked the bootloader using fastboot, which worked like a charm. I then downloaded the stock rom for the tablet and modified the "logo.bin" using logobuilder to get a desired splash screen. Before flashing the modified stock ROM, I tried to install a compatible version of twrp using fastboot. The installation succeeded, but the tablet only booted into stock recovery instead of twrp. Stupid as I was, I deleted the original "recovery.img" in the downloaded stock rom folder and replaced it with the twrp.img file renaming it to "recovery.img", convinced that this would fool the tablet to boot into twrp instead of stock. I then flashed the modified rom using sp flash tool. The process went through and as a result, the tablet didn't show any sign of life at all. Only a black screen. I assumed the tablet was hardbricked, so I tried to flash the unmodified, original stock rom again. This time the Lenovo splash screen showed up, but before proceeding to the boot animation, the tablet only ran into a bootloop, not going any further than the splash screen. I tried to boot into recovery to reset to factory settings, but all kinds of key combinations; Taking out the battery, re-inserting it, pressing power + Vol down + Vol Up, And also only vol up and down with power, neither seemed to work. For now, I have tried all the stock firmware I have found, but they all run into the same bootloop. I am really stuck for now, and I can't find a way to get past the bootloop or into recovery. Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I eventually ended up buying a new tablet as I couldn't find any solution. I assume these "cheaper" mediatek devices aren't the most popular for such rooting purposes. Anyhow my problem was not with the rooting process, but rather trying to replace the splash screen boot logo. For rooting I used kingroot directly on the tablet. Had to run it a couple of times but it worked eventually. If you want to use a custom boot logo I recommend that you don't try to replace the splash screen logo, but rather the animation after, as this can be done directly on the tablet using a file manager. I just had to live with the first Lenovo logo and to be honest it didn't really bother me at all.
