I am finally pulling the trigger on getting a Redmi Note 3 Pro/Snapdragon 3GB/32GB
But there is really one thing that's stopping me at the moment...
I saw earlier posts stating that the Dark Grey/Black variant has a yellowish tint screen and that they use a crappy/old screen on the Dark Grey variant:http://en.miui.com/thread-264272-1-1.html
and Gold variant didn't have any of this problem they said and I even saw post saying that the Gold Variant has the best screen out of three colors. This is really bad news for me since I especially I want the Dark Grey one.
Can anyone confirm if this true or not? But if it is really the case, I guess I might go with the Gold one since I really want this phone
I have white pro version 3/32 and black special edition 3/32, there is no difference in screens, they are same... Ps. black SE is taller only 2mm and is much better looking, white have those black visible bezels and I dont like it...

No that's not. SE supports LTE Band 20

Hi All,
I'm trying to find a replacement screen for my Redmi Note 4 international/global version.
I can't seem to find one and was thinking maybe the screen from the redmi note 4x would fit.
I know the screen is the same size and the holes for speaker camera and proximity sensor are in the same place.
Has anyone tried this already or does anyone know for sure if it would work?
Maybe there is a critical difference in the two screens that I am unaware of?

Thanks man! I did a little research myself and found that the global version of Note 4 has the same screen that's on the Note 4X. I ordered one from AliExpress for $26.
EDIT: Just saw you had asked the same thing in the actual question. The answer is yes. According to my research, it has the same screen. Found a video on Youtube that says the same, check it out Here.

Good to know that both screens are the same. There is a huge difference in price for the screen of the global version and the screen of the note 4x.
I hope this thread helps someone else in the same situation as we both were.
Unfortunately i paid double what you paid for the note 4x screen even though my suspicions were that the two screens were the same.

There is a redmi 4x which is a 5" device and a redmi note 4x which is the 5.5" device. It is the redmi note 4x screen which mahad used.
Unfortunately It looks like you ordered the wrong screen hopefully you can return or exchange it.

I think this dont fit on Redmi Note 4 Global version.
Im on the same issue here. I dont know wich one to buy, but i saw in some videos that the global version uses the same replacement screen of the 4x version. Now, i just wanna to know if the alixpress products have a good quality display. lot of feedbacks complaining about low contrast and brightness, dead pixels and no backlight on the capacitive buttons or do not fit very well.

Yes you can replace the screen with Redmi Note 4x's screen. I've posted video proof as well earlier in this thread.
Guys, I am reviving this thread sorry about that. Is the screen of 3/32GB and 4/64GB redmi note 4 global (4x) the same, or are they different models? No seller in aliexpress seems to be providing the 4/64 version from what I can see.

How to get the info:

The next four things can be checked in CPU-Z under the "Sensors" tab.
It would be great if someone could tell me how to check the first five items on a custom ROM as I'm on MIUI, so that I could update the post for guys on custom ROMs.

I have it but it's nothing big, just a light tint only slightly noticeable when compared with another phone side by side

But I'm guessing that screen variations aren't going to be an issue here, the sensor variations on the other hand are an issue. Different sensors, on different android versions and some may/may not have drivers available for public use.

what do you mean? the notification led is multi color, and isnt only white on redmi note 4x. Also the fingerprint is fabulous, like if you use miui, it wakes super FAST! also if you want to compare redmi 4x and redmi note 4x, please note that the chipset used in both the devices are not same. Redmi 4x uses a Snapdragon 435, (1.4 ghz) whereas the note 4x has a much more powerful sd 625 (2 ghz), and tbh there are no issues with any of them (atleast i never had any issues regarding led and fingerprint)

Of course it works fine, why do wouldn't it? Just be careful with the files you flash (recovery, rom etc.) and ensure that those are indeed meant for 'joyuse' and not 'curtana, gram or excalibur'.
I have curtana and I'm rooted on the latest eu.
No dust found under the camera array, although if you're worried I'd suggest getting the nilkin camera cover case.
As for Antutu, I think benchmarks are useless. The phone is plenty fast and smooth for my needs and that's what matters to me. Happy flashing ?
