More faces for iPhone? - Samsung Gear Fit

I've been searching for a way to install apps/faces to my gear fit 2. I have an iPhone and a Samsung (which is not activated). Is there a war to sync to the Samsung, load apps/faces then sync to the iPhone while keeping them? I've tried, but it keeps making me reset. If not, is there a way to load apps/faces from pc? Thanks guys!

[Q] Install apps on Gear S AND Gear 2

I now have a Gear S and a Gear 2. I was thinking about keeping the Gear 2 as it is smaller and better for occasions when I am wearing a suit and such. It looks a little fancier. It doesn't seem I can use the same apps on both. If I download an app for one watch, it doesn't seem it can then be downloaded again for the other. In order to get my old apps to work on my Gear S I had to uninstall them from my gear 2. If I can't I will just sell my Gear 2.
Any suggestions?

[Q] What will GF do without Phone connection?

Hi,
I was wondering what this little thing can do if not always connected to phone? I know most/all of the fitness functions will not work. I was wondering if it can display time/date, run a simple calculator app and simple calendar (no schedules etc, just dates and days in a grid)?
With these being pretty cheap I was looking just to use it as a regular watch with calc, is that possible or does it need a phone connection for everything always (using phone to install things ok)?
Also can the home screen be customized to add/remove the things you want?
Thanks.
You would need to activate the gear fit via a pc, using kies, or a supported samsung device before you can use it. But after that, it can be ueed as a watch, pedometer without a device. To get other apps to work, like calculator, or calendar, you would need to have a compatible device.

There was an update today that came out for Milk Music to enable to be used in stand alone mode. Tried it today, and it works fine. Not sure about the weather updating in stand alone mode, haven't tried that yet.
I'm really thinking about purchasing the gear s but it will be in standalone mode all the time. What does work? Just texts calls and milk?
I just got my gear S on sunday actually. So far my experience with the watch is good. I haven got the chance to use the watch on standalone mode because it is practically an enhancement to the phone, instead of being a standalone phone-watch thing. Installation of apps, transfer music/pictures/videos,etc from phone, calls are from phone, emails from phone.
In short, from my experience, not possible to be a standalone phone-watch.

True, this watch is designed first and foremost as a complement to your phone (as all wearables are), but once setup you can use a separate sim card in the watch to use it as standalone phone if you want. It also does music, Web browsing, texts, etc all without needing your phone. So not really a true standalone device since you need a phone for initial setup, but still allows quite a bit of standalone functionality (and definitely much more than any other wearable on the market today).
yeah I kind of got that, but haven't convert my sim card to place in the watch yet. WIll be doing that today actually. For me I carry two phones; one for work, one personal. But i find it hard to replace either phones to the watch because im heavily dependent on whatsapp as well, which the watch does not support it on standalone mode.

[Q] Change default app open with S-voice GEAR S

Hi got the Gear S a few days ago and having a lot of fun with it..
Just wondering something, i bought my Gear s from a friend who purchased it in South Korea, its running latest firmware as far as i know as i updated the day i got it through the Gear app...
there is an app on the GS that has South Korean writing on it and a pic of a car etc I presume it is a navigation app of some sort because when i use the S-Voice Command to "Navigate to" it opens this app but its all in Korean and i havent a clue what it doing... is there a way for me to uninstall this app and set S-voice to use any other Nav apps i have installed?? itried uninstalling from the gear app but it is not in the list of apps..
S-Voice has worked perfectly for me on the Gear S and ive been using it quite a bit with great success except in the fact that for some reason Samsung have disabled it from doing some quite important things like setting tasks etc
oh yea one other thing, has anyone successfully used and installed NewsAce Rss App? i bought it last night and i keep getting a white blank screen when i try to sign in to Google on the app..
This truly is a smartwatch but could be so much better if Samsung allowed it to be.. its got plenty power etc so the lack of certain things is strange... real social network integration proper gmail etc etc Can anyone point me towards a File explorer that will let me view files on my phone.. would be great to be able to browse through folders and pick stuff i want ie proper music search of files i want to play and not just back and forth between last played etc!!
Im on a Note Edge..
Regards and thanks love this thing its awesome but again a bit artificially stunted by Sammy..
Peace.

Question Smart switch

Hi
I am sure i have turned something off in the past that causes this.
Smart switch never yransfers my passwords. I end up having to download my apps again. Tbey show as greyed out on the phone. And every
app that i then download needs password entry. Any ideas what i have wrong?
That's typical; it doesn't glean passwords or app data. Never use SmartSwitch to transfer critical data as it can fail you miserably.
Best not to use it on a different device or Android version and do a clean load build instead...
Its one of those things that i watch the rest of family do with apple thats so seamless. I struggle to remember every password and it takes a few hours. Does help me bin the trash though i suppose

Apple is easy, it works and I hate it. Unfortunately Google Android and Samsung are getting to be more like Apple every year. That's why I'm still using N10+'s running on Android 9 and 10. Screw them all.
Passwords should be part of your backups. Before a factory reset delete your Google and Samsung accounts on the phone. Do the reset through settings rather than the boot menu to avoid the possibility of FRP rearing it's ugly head.
Use ApkExport to make installable copies of all your apps to avoid using Playstore and speed load time. I disable firmware upgrades/updates and rarely update apps. Upgrades/updates can and do break Samsung's.
