Somebody please suggest me stable Nougat ROM with decent battery life and root working.
I won't use any custom kernel or Xposed framework. I just want my phone to run smooth with no frequent crashes here and there.
Any suggestions plz?

No there is no more wifi disconnecting issue with new updates in aug. I am a decent user and keep the battery saver On most of the times and thus sometimes able to use battery for 1.5 days also.(I hope you mean battery usage from Screen on Time).
Further, we get updates from lineage weekly on Tuesdays. So, bugs keeps fixing day by day

That's great. More than what I am currently using(Zephyr 6.0.1)
I am using SD card as Adopted internal which was a big mistake, I have no memory issues now but phone becomes slow after installing 25-30 apps(No games). Will I be able to move all the apps from internal to SD card without formatting as Internal?
And I saw in AEX thread that 4.5 is having battery draining issues ?

For move apps to SD or install in SD directly, the SD should be formatted as internal and for no problems of hangs, the SD will be class 10 minimum and preferred UHS-1.
No, no problems of drain battery, i have the same time that with 4.4 and is running on both, 1022 and 1025.

I used both.
I prefer AEX over LOS for because is a smaller .zip (310mb vs 314mb actually but AEX 4.4 294mb and moto e have only 882MB in /system, so i move some apps from /data to /system to gain free space on user partition /data), works TV app in XT1025 like stock ROM (in LOS fail if touch app while is working), a bit less of RAM at start, more customization features, SELinux disabled, BT works (in LOS the privacy guardian hangs BT, the workaround recommended by LOS team is disable privacy guardian, but no fix for now), better screen recorder, the FX EQ works 100% (like original motorola EQ on moto e) while in LOS is bugged, when you up a level of EQ, down the volume in general and sometimes the bars of EQ stuck or are lagged.

The xt1025 the original battery is semi dead and jump from 40 to 15 or 0, so i replaced with a battery from a moto e2 (FT 40 -2350mha-) making modifications using iron soldering. That have 9hrs screen of time.

Hi, this is my first thread so go easy on me.
I flashed CM13 on my device sometimes after 2 weeks after it came out. Besides the bugs that was already there in Unofficial CM13 I faced an extra problem.
My Gallery fails to load Images/Video thumbnails and just shows up as empty black spaces. And after some time Gallery stops responding, and I have to force close it. Here is the list of stuff I tried to remedy this:
1) Clearing Media Storage data and doing a re scan using media.Re.Scan.
2) Wiping Cache/Dalvik Cache
I don't have this problem on Stock, only on CM13 based ROM's. And I'm sure I clean installed CM13 properly.
And I got this from the logcat:
Code:
08-24 19:28:51.517 23297 23375 E MetadataRetrieverClient: failed to extract an album art
08-24 19:28:51.518 6399 6422 E MediaMetadataRetrieverJNI: getEmbeddedPicture: Call to getEmbeddedPicture failed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Nougat for Ascend Mate 2 MTL203
So this post caught my eye... Is someone working on Android 7.0 for the Ascend Mate 2 or is it already out there?
SHM, a dev who brought us TWRP and a few 6.0 ROMs, is working on 7.0. Understandably, he doesn't like people asking for ETA's so he'd prefer us not to bug him.
Also, since CM officially supports our phone, won't we be getting an official CM14 as well?
shm quit development on this but released the sources

@nate5711: I think this CM14.1 runs more smooth than CM13 (official). It hasn't crashed yet; previously CM13 rebooted occasionally. The battery life is very nice also: 9-10 hours SOT, similar to CM13.
I have been using TWRP by Matt (this CM14.1 Developer) for a while, so I didn't see any problem with it (the previous version is 3.0.M5-0 released on July 19; https://android.cmphys.com/twrp-mt2/). The only thing is TimeService which led to inaccurate time in TWRP, but I always named Nandroid backup myself which is much shorter while with more information. It has been fixed as Matt stated:good:
I did make a Nandroid backup of CM13 using TWRP-3.0.M5.0 and I am sure there is no problem to switch between this CM14.1 and CM13 without loss of data. I tried both clean and dirty flash of CM14.1 (over CM13), and currently I've been running the dirty-flashed one flawlessly. I tried switch between CM14.1 and CM13 with TWRP and there's no problem at all.
Sure, as I mentioned earlier, LiveDisplay night mode doesn't work. There's no CMTE either. Otherwise everything is good on my end.
Thanks to Matt for his wonderful job! :good::good::good:
BTW, Matt has his CM13-Dec 26 nightly available to us also and he said the Camera (CM13) has been fixed. TBH, I haven't tried his CM13-20161226 yet since I am very satisfied with his CM14.1-20161225.
Dirty flashed runs fine also had to re flash gapps to get it to fully boot but other then the missing theme engine it seems way smoother then the last good build of cm 13 great work matt and thanks for keeping this phone alive

Yes, arm 7.1 GApps required even for dirty flash over CM13.
Thanks for the helpful info, dl the rom and I'm very much enjoying it..
Thank you for providing the latest build. I have installed it and seems to be working fine. Need to use it for a few days to cycle the battery to know how good is the backup.
Thank You so much for the update so far is very smooth. Is anyone else having the camera randomly popping up during a phone call? I have tried to download gapps again and reflashed still having the issue. Am i missing something in the settings?

On my Galaxy Note (the first one) running lineage OS (Android 6.0.1) I get a boot loop as soon as I try to update Greenify to the latest beta version. Currently I'm running an older version from a backup I made in Mars 2017. Any ideas what could be the reason for this issue? By the way, the device is rooted and xposed framework is installed. Any help would be highly appreciated.
I had this problem with the latest beta (3.5.4) and CM 13 (6.0.1) on my Nexus 4. I decided to nuke everything and finally go to Nougat So far no boot loops, however, my Nexus 7 is still on CM 13 so I uninstalled Greenify before it caused the 7 to bork. There seems to be quite a few that had to go through TWRP and remove the Greenify APK manually.

Yes, that's how I fixed it too. Is this thread the right way to let the devs of Greenify know?
I would think so, however, there is a couple postings about this issue in the Beta 3.5.4 thread anyway.
edit: nevermind
I was wondering if anyone else aside from people in https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/greenify/beta-greenify-3-1-build-1-1-23-2017-t3544311 were experiencing bootlooping with the latest beta. Guess the answer is yes.
Today I updated the app from the play store (no BETA) and get bootloop on my Moto E2 with CM13.

This version is made compatible with Android Oreo, so I believe that it's the compatibility issue.
On my phone, crashed everything and entered infinite bootloop.
You guys with bootloops might want to post in the Google+ Greenify group. Oasisfeng doesn't seem to be monitoring XDA based on no recent posts here. He does monitor Google+ Greenify.

Greenify causes Boot Loop on Galaxy Note 8 + RR MM
seems to kill all 6.0 devices
Boot into TWRP, mount system and then use the built-in TWRP file manager to delete the app's containing folder from system/app, then reboot.

Latest updates work fine on my two very different devices (one being a Moto G4) running Android 6 based ROMs. What you are seeing in the forums does not reflect the much larger community that is not experiencing a problem.
I am not being dismissive; just trying to keep things in perspective. Hopefully a fix comes out soon.

Happened to my lg g3 and samsung note 8 (old) running cm13 and RR 6.0 Roms. I also use xposed and many other apps but managed to pinpoint the problem with greenify's update from playstore. Im running an older apk for now.
My Huawei phone that bootloops with the latest Greenify beta is Android 6 rooted with Xposed also.
I was wondering if the other phones bootlooping here are also rooted with Xposed.
I have another Huawei with Android 6.0.1 rooted with Xposed that doesn't bootloop with the latest Greenifys .

I have noticed many (clearly not all) of those experiencing bootloops traceable to Greenify are running CM or Lineage based ROMs. RR also shares roots with CM. Not sure there is a connection or coincidental. Something to consider.
So, did the latest update solve the problem?
Nope, not for me. I still cannot update...

Does it have deep sleep problem if we use Fingerprint Lock. On RR rom if we enable FP lock than the device doesn't wakes and we have to restart manually via hardkeys

Until my last try 0806 build, the issue was still there.
This ROM is the only one AOSP based and without deep issue.
Im using Mokee Rom, does anyone know where i can find the changelog?

7. Infinity OS v1
Kernels

Infinity ROM
However, when Ultimate Q S20 gets updated to port 7, I will move back to it.
I like roms that balance functions with debloating
Roms like Zrom are heavily debloated and are very smooth
Infinity rom is debloated and smooth
S20 port is slightly debloated and smooth. Every Samsung function works on S20 port. Link to PC, SmartSwitchBackUp, Samsung Cloud Restore, Project to PC screen, game plugins, Battery Statistics in DeviceHealthCare etc,Galaxy store etc. These functions are usually not on the other roms. Adding them from apkmirror or apkpure does not work. They simply refuse to function correctly once added even to the root folders.
I'm currently in Ultimate QZrom of shumway66. but still it has problems in audio of games. I wanna try to GSI but I am afraid to do it

Test out Ultimate Q s20 port 6. It is stable. The one you installed was a Test rom.
Or try out Infinity Rom. No hiccups so far apart from the camera that can be fixed by replacing 2 files and rebooting the phone.

I haven't used stock for ages
@physwizz Neither have I but rebasing your preferred ROM over the top of a later stock ROM gives you a later modem, bootloader etc. that may have some improved qualities....... or not. All the partition updates you don't get from custom ROMs.....
So I am asking if anyone has updated to A205YNDVU5BTG1 and found anything good, bad or indifferent? Certainly the modem needs a helping hand to get better reception quality / range....
