Every Android build claims in the OP that bluetooth works, but I have not found a build yet that has working bluetooth in call audio. I hear media audio just fine.
I have tried many workarounds, kernels, wm builds, radios, and Android builds. From reading through many threads it seems this is a recurring issue. I have however seen a few people who claim that they do have bluetooth working properly.
In my signature you can see what I have running on my phone. As for bluetooth I am using a Plantronics Voyager 855 and have also tried a Motorola H500.
Sorry for starting a new thread about this, but search is currently not working in XDA.
Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Are we missing a driver or something?
If you do have bt working for in call audio can you please provide your wm/radio/android/kernel combination?
Thanks
Hello all,
I know there have been many threads regarding the bluetooth connectivity. However I will make my problem a very specific one.
The problem I have is with ICS being that it doesn't distribute audio properly for players other than - com.android.music-1_4.0.4-eng.jenkins.20120523.231950.apk. This audio player that came out with CM7 and apart from that player no other players output can be heard on my car stereo. That being "Rockford Fosgate 10.1" that comes standard with the suzuki kizashi.
I have reported this problem to the owners of the custom roms but without success. The last successful audio playback was on Criskelo V.38 via PowerAMP and ever since the transition to ICS it simply doesn't work.
Now I have bought PowerAMP and max @ poweramp has been very helpful with answering my questions and what he has to say is that it is the rom/kernel that distributes the sound via the bluetooth channels and not the player itself, which sounds reasonable.
However, The only thing that is stuck in my head is how come one player works fine whilst none of the others work? if the admins permiss and if someone would like to try it I can upload the apk stated above as it is the only way I can get the output to work.
I tried using the apk with Jellybean update but i think its non compliant, so my hopes are diminishing with the advancement of platforms.
Since it is an issue that I cannot resolve except the patchwork I have done by using the same apk for all roms, I would like some help from the champions out there who can resolve the issue. I can upload logs/whatever info you like.
Thanks in advance and please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
P.S: Great work to all the people involved in releasing custom roms and XDA

Sorry, can't help. I just found I have the same problem. What is com.android.music-1_4.0.4-eng.jenkins.20120523.231950.apk?

Hi,
First of all, sorry for posting in this forum(I think this should be in the dev forum).
I recently installed supermaster34's CM9 with the bluetooth patch in my GP 5 INTL, but since then I have been unable to use my old Jabra BT620 bluetooth headphones(which worked perfectly in GB). I have tested them on other devices succesfully(to see if they are working properly), so my question is... Is the A2DP bluetooth profile broken in the patch? (im using supermaster's CM9)
Thanks
Any help would be really appreciated...

Honestly I don't know. If it worked on GB it will work with the Bluetooth patch. Maybe the profiles don't work with the player 5?

Well, it worked in GB. Every other bluetooth function works properly(file transfer, searching and listening to other devices, pairing), but it just refuses to stream audio to my bluetooth stereo headphones. Maybe it is a problem within ICS??
Thanks for your previous answer!

If it worked on GB but doesn't work on ICS then it is a problem with ICS. I don't really know much about bluetooth profiles so I'm sorry for my kinda useless answers
Thanks, don't worry, maybe it's a problem within cm9 (I will investigate about it). In that case a more up to date source would be the answer.

is CM9-NIGHTLY-121116-Defy a2DP compilant ?
Hi,
I am using motorola defy and updated with CM9-NIGHTLY-121116-Defy, now my android is updated to icream sandvich and everything is working fine.
But my planktronics backbeat 903+ bluetooth headset which are a2dp compilant are not working with my mobile phone.
When android 2.2 was installed earlier everything was working fine with them, i was able to make calls and listen music to them.
please provide a fix for this.

Hello guys
I wanted to know if there is a MOD for our smartphone to enable stereo sound:
earpiece and speaker simultaneously for better sound.
Thanks
Perhaps the One Plus 3 mod for mono stereo could work. I downloaded it from OPO3 xda subforum but have not tested it since I am running stock non-root firmware
Take a look here, its the first file:

WARNING - MAKE A FULL TWRP BACKUP BEFORE TRYING ! ! !

Already tested, it does not work
I've also tried some things but on stock firmware doesn't seem to work.
I went to the Le Pro 3 forum on XDA and asked for their sound mixer file. I am attaching it here for future reference.
Any news for the mod?
Has anyone gotten stereo sound on the phone?

using the ear speacker
I have read the the device is support LDAC Bluetooth.
But when I change Bluetooth codec in developer setting to LDAC it got no sound. Testing with my fiio btr3 the indicator light change to white thae mean I using LDAC but got no sound.
The only codec that work is just sbc, aac and aptx.
Anyone know how to enable LDAC or just tell me that it not supported LDAC yet.
PS. When using the other codec it has worst quality than it should tho compare to my Nokia8. Why this happen?

Bluetooth speaker/device should support also LDAC. Not only the Smartphone that have a LDAC capability

i have the same issue. I have Sony wh-1000xm3 headphones. When i switched the LDAC codec. Sound just gone. Is anyone found a solution for this?
I search for it and found the samsung s9 s8 etc. phones have similar kind of problem. They have a solution for this. They just turn off the "dual audio" feature. But i cant find that setting in A3.

Same thing, @kaelthasxx. I'm also trying to setup my wh1000xm3 with the Mi A3 and there's just no way of making ldac work. Not to mention that using aptx gets me an awful quality. If I run a frequency response test I get a lot of crackling at frequencies around 17-20khz with aptx.
The best quality I managed to get out of this setup was using sbc, which is a shame since the headphones support all the way up to ldac.
I think this is some issue with the OS (I'm using the phone's native Android One), since in theory the BT soc of this phone should support these technologies. Hope they fix it for Android 10.
I had install custom rom and it work just fine. Can't wait for official release tho

What ROM are you using? The official one doesn't even support aptx properly (I get a lot of distortion using it with Sony's WH-1000xm3). Not sure if I should flash a custom ROM or pray for a fix in Android 10.
Anyone have a solution for this, just got some Sony Bluetooth cans for xmas and bow have same issue...
Is it confirmed fixed in Android 10 (ie a month or so factory fix all going well) or should I just go custom rom and fix it now (although the whole reason I went a3 was to get a stock Android device)
If I was to go rom route what's the suggested rom? I'm assuming a3 and a3 lite use the same base rom package?
Thanks to all in advance
G.

I can't confirm for LDAC, but AAC doesn't work, it always revert to sbc. For now is better to try a custom as bluetooth codecs never worked for me.
here you go! was also waiting for long months to access any better then SBC...
A3 with A10 stock, April version + Sony XM3, latest app version
--> AptX is on!
checked developer settings and this confirms. AptX is shown on (its not AptX HD by the way). trying to select any better eg LDAC wont stick when return from setting, also no codec effect.
at least something... good luck guys!
No

No
Any update on this? How does the phone do with the latest firmwares?
(I plan to get Sony headphones)
Mi A3 with Android 11 here. No LDAC option, best is aptX but the WH-1000-XM4 dont support it so... best codec is AAC.
