STF-AL10 with EU LTE - Possible? - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

Hello!
I'm looking to buy an honor 9 device, and saw that the 6/128gb (STF-AL10) version in an online shop is the same price as the 4/64 (STF-L09) at my carrier.
The AL10 doesn't support 2 out of 3 of my lte bands but the L09 does. Is it possible that it's just software locked, and opened with some poking around, or the bricking risk is too high for that?
Also is there a noticable difference in 4 vs 6 gb ram? Is this even worth the trouble?

There is proper rebranding guide available in guide section..take a look at that..
All steps and all files available there..
If you think you can rebrand it to L09..
Go for al10..

Thanks! I searched google left and right for this, but never found it. Will not attempt it tho, looks too problematic.

I followed the guide and had a lot of difficulties, but managed to rebrand the Chinese version STF-AL10 for EU STF-AL09, but even so my honor 9 did not recognize the 4G / LTE band7 (2600) which is supported by the model EU STF-AL09.

Did you try factory reset after rebranding??

mine is the AL10 rebranded to EU by the reseller. I'm not in Europe but LTE works fine.

Any news about it? Have you tried restoring to factory reset?
