Hey guys
I have the following problem: the fastboot driver is not detected or installed
Windows Driver
https://1drv.ms/i/s!AhDOSEuESNbKjz2_dO1dVoJhtHrp
fastboot Modus Honor 9
https://1drv.ms/i/s!AhDOSEuESNbKjzw72cJCJylZIDR3
And now the data about the system currently
https://1drv.ms/i/s!AhDOSEuESNbKjzvi4SHsYavzU6im
What happened ?
The following happened, I had 'STF-L09C432B170' 'installed & ready on my STF-L09' '
Then I updated the firmware of FF '' STF-AL10 8.0.0.315 (C00) '' with HWOTA via the STF-L09C432B170
This was also easy. Android 8.0 AL10 version on STF-L09 works, except for the fastboot driver problem...?
The following was tried:
- Windows completely updated
- Different drivers, no result
- dload Vol + - on, no result, system install fail
- erecovery, does not work either
Smartphone data: STF-L09 bootloader unlock no root no twrp
Maybe you still have a solution? I thank you in advance
same problem here
seems to be a windows related problem, fastboot detects my H9 running the chinese oreo beta (L09C432, not rebranded) on ubuntu 17.10 without a single problem - but once i'm back to windoof it isn't listed anymore.
Regards
Common issue I guess windows has issues detecting drivers due to the mix of build info? Because windows cannot detect the driver (which isn't surprising due to the mix of our flash) yet it shouldn't cause any issues that way. Does Chinese devices uses different windows drivers
Mac OS X hasn't any issues either so it's windows automatic system that's failing badly. Your best choice is to pic a live usb that has adb enabled and go with it.or to actually install Chinese Hi suite

You'll still need to setup fastboot as it isn't included in the iso

I solved the problem with regedit
Open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\usbflags
Then look which PID Your Phone have in Fastboot in Device Manager. Mine was 'D00D' and VID '18D1'
So my Folder was '18D1D00D0100'
Open Your Folder and add a New Binary with
Name: SkipBOSDescriptorQuery
Value: 01 00 00 00
Now should able to use Your Phone in Fastboot Mode
thank you its working with ubunto 17.10 now can see my phone :good::fingers-crossed:

Yeah you're trying to flash a nougat firmware on oreo which won't work due to partition being shrinked on oreo that's why it fails.

hi.
i am looking for the stock firmware for this device..anyone has it..? or recovery or custom rom..?
have u find a firmware?
my vodafone 888 does not boot any moore
fixed my phone today and all is well. The name of the phone is actually coolpad 7576u and the firmware i downloaded from http://www.yulong.com/product/produ...productBO.product.id=6504&productBO.menuId=30
the frogram to install this firmware is Coolpad Download Assistant Setup V1.86_140626 (google-it)
steps to install are simple.
1 download firmware
2 unzippit to *.CPB
3 start program
4 point program to the unzipped rom
5 connect phone to pc without battery (you remove the battery)
6 wait until is done
7 ENJOY
Did you install some drivers? Mine doesn't seem to work. I load the rom into Coolpad Download Assistant, I hit some button in Chinese, instinctively, then a bar loads to 100% and another one is at 0%. Stays like this forever nothing happens to the phone. It is in fastboot mode, battery off, plugged in with usb cable, adb drivers installed.
Later edit: I finally got it right. Reinstalled the drivers...
i have the same problem.any idea?

Install android sdk - now also integrated into Android studio - it should install google adb drivers automatically. Also give the PC and phone a restart after sdk is installed. Then you should have no problem hooking up the phone and yulong download assistant.

Here you have a .zip file containing the RO version of the stock 4.4.2 ROM for Vodafone 888. You can change the language afterwards, it's just a matter of bloatware apps for each country.

Not really sure what the error is, but i guess it`s something wrong with the drivers.
After 3% i get the following (see the attached pic)
I used Android_adb-USB_UnifL_Driver_v1.17

I had this problem but at some higher percentage. I just kept retrying and it finally worked. I don't remember if I messed with the drivers anymore once it started. You should uninstall every android/google driver you have, reboot, install again.
Device manager looks fine tough, bootloader interface.

Hello, I have the following problem. My "Honor 9" has been formatted so far that it now recognizes as Model: generic_A15. But it must be a STF-L09C432, or STF-L09. Can someone help me with this problem? Or provide a TWRP Recovery for Product and Version for STF-L09C432?

Unfortunately does not work.. Starts to the system and stays in the setup wizard, hang in a loop.
It had already run times (via install fastboot), but I did not in the Android settings and the camera and some apps went not at all ..
And when installing with HWOTA, the error comes:
****************************************
* *
* Script writer mankindtw с ХDA *
* Author of translation GAGUGA с 4PDA *
* *
****************************************
Hold down the volume button minus and connect the USB cable to boot into the fastboot mode.
Press ENTER to continue ...
J:\HWOTA\/hwota.sh: line 183: cd: $'J:/HWOTA//recovery/generic_a15\r': No such file or directory
Replacing the stock recovery on TWRP, please wait ...
/'ror: cannot load 'J:/HWOTA//recovery/generic_a15
The problem is with my Honor 9, that he recognizes the device as generic_A15 and not as standard STL-L09 ... ???
Also custom firmware is no longer to install ..
Try FF
Recovery doesn't give a **** about how your phone is named. That script doesn't work because it can't find a folder with the name of your model.
Anyway you can always flash whatever recovery you want from fastboot with command fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery_file.img
Why is my Honor looking for model "generic a15", and not according to the standard "STF-L09"? Have I formatted it too far? It true yes before the model "STF-L09". You can install Emui Stock, but the drivers do not go there. Various bugs. And it thinks it would be model "generic_a15" in Rom. And the build number is also strange.
You can always go back to square one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73426890&postcount=36
Will cost you some bucks, but you'll get a fully working H9 afterwards using DC Phoenix.
Ok, after the backup went the installation by HWOTA. Now is the modelnummer again STF-L09 .. everything works except the navigation buttons-the LEDS also do not show .. Build number STF-L09C432B130

It would be of help to you if you started using search function in this forum because all those questions have already been answered.
The navigation buttons don't work because you installed bugged B130 version of firmware. Downgrade back to B120 and update again to B130 via OTA.
"Factory" Recovery for MTCx PX3, PX5 and PX6 SOM.
UPDATED" 26.06.2023 - Before doing this, try your Headunit USB cable first - Some headunits support OTG directly on the headunit USB cable.
Come here after using paid Software "Mod" tools like Modinstaller?
This method is the factory method, which can completely recover a "bricked" SOM, recover from failed "modinstaller" or failed upgrade of Paid mods.
Finally - OTG for all without modifying your head-unit. With only basic electronic/soldering skills, get OTG and fearlessly flash or recover a 'bricked' MTCD/E (HCT printed on SOM) Rockchip PX3, PX5 SOM.
See attached pics for making an OTG cable from a USB cable and two resistors.
Resistors are 12K and 15k (22k is probably better) or anyone of the following. combinations. These resistors are necessary as 'voltage dividers', with a value between 1.8v and 3.3 OK. These simply place a logic '1' on recovery and USB-OTG to 'tell' the SOM to go into OTG recovery mode.

For OREO: Unzip and flash all partitions in the ZIP file [px5_OREO_Full_13032018-UseToRecoverOrCreateNew.7zip here
For Android 6, flash the latest update.img file in RKDevTool
There are guides to partition flashing found on the internet, would be great if anyone could contribute by posting step-by-step instructions or a video to assist others (there are now posts in this thread...)
A generic guide to the RockChip RKDevTool, flashing partitions or image files is here as previously posted.
Credit (thanks!) to @scorillo_ro for the detailed image/connections diagram.
Worst case - SOM doesn't respond - force 'maskrom' detailed here explaining what MaskRom is and here on how to for your PX5 (px3 is similar.) Steps are: Power Off SOM and disconnect USB to PC. Use Tweezers, apply power/connect USB. Hold until Windows Device chime is heard (within about 2 seconds of power on.) See attached pic.
Warning : Use thin pins for OTG cable in order to avoid the damage of the SOM connectors, although along the thread it has been noted many times that damage to the SOM socket is very likely to happen if thick pins are used...OR buy SOM header from Aliexpress, digikey etc.[/COLOR]
17/11/2019 - Edit: Corrected URL for Windows and Linux Rockchip tools
04/04/2020 - link to px5 android 9 full update.img
20.06.23 - Update broken links to driver and tool. Update Name of tool (was) Android Tool - (now) RKDevTool

Absolutely! I've done it a bunch of times. You can either use the sdupdate.img from the Oreo upgrade thread to load the Oreo recovery and then install the oreo .zip from recovery OR a full set of partition images.
I have a full set of partition images if needed, they're about 25gb but should compress right down (that 25gb includes [user] partition which is an empty partition.
Good... I'll try... But the process Need a PC no? Becouse with the unit with SD card slot needs PC only to prepare the sd card for android 8 recovery

Yes, PC. I've updated the post to include links to tools and driver. Driver 4.5 & Android tool works on Win7 - Win 10, x86 and x64.
For those without SDCard wanting to upgrade to Oreo:
You could try OTG flashing the Oreo sdupdate.img, fit SOM back to headunit and then try loading the Full Oreo update.zip from USB. Otherwise I will need to upload the full Oreo partitons dump with instructions....over the next few days....

It is my understanding that I can flash the SOM without the rest of the board?
So just disconnect the SOM then hook up the USB as per the diagram and it will be detected by windows. Use android tool / RockChip Batch Tool with a android 6/8 recovery.
The issue I have is that the nand doesn't look like its recognised after an attempt to flash oreo. Please see attached picture.

Strange. I only used Windows 7.
You can also try using a powered usb switch. Maybe the USB ports you used does not provide sufficient power? This is just an assumption.
Or, as @marchnz said, you can try enter maskrom mode.

hello folks.
i had nothing to do so i made a QFIL flashable system image of a Marshmallow VibeUI backup, which was released for Latin Amerians (dunno what lenovo software engineers were smoking when they decieded to keep MM from the rest of the world ).
So, this ROM (or rather backup) is ported by me as a qfil flashable file for A6020a41 phones, which are popular for not having unlockable bootloaders.
since this rom is official, it passes dm-verity and boots fine on locked BLs.
this package only flashes system.img and boot.img, so no device specific files are flashed. it worked fine on my SD415 device with locked BL.
link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=283731
HOW TO FLASH:
1) wipe data from recovery (twrp or stock, doesn't matter). Your internal might be wiped too.
2) install revelant drivers (hint: look for them on "return to stock" thread or at the link at the bottom of this post).
3) flash the package (same procedure when recovering stock rom)
and don't blame me if your phone or your kitten dies because of this rom (i'm gonna laugh at you if you do so), i made this just because SD616 users can't flash custom roms, despite me having SD415 w/ unlocked bootloader. HAVE FUN!!!
Note: if you have SD415 variant then proceed to here
Notes:
1. VoLTE appears to be not working, this depends on whether lenovo decides to update it for lat. america.
2. If you want to make a qfil flashable rom, then pm me for a template (or just replace system and boot images in this zip).
Normal things to expect:
1) device name change to a6020l36
2) (probably) being banned from play services. (important: no dev is responsible for a6020 being banned. Do not waste your time blaming, not only on this thread but on the whole K5(Plus) forum).
oh, and before i forget, remember to choose .mbn file accordingly to your SoC.
msm8929 -> SD415
msm8939 -> SD616
Is it possible to get volte in this?
Good work ,but please mention that volte won't work in the OP since I have tried this long back .

Thanks for sharing. Volte is a thing which is rarely or never used here in Turkey so i didn't have a chance to test it.
Hi.
I flashed this on my a6020a41 sd415. Device chagned name to a4020a36 and I had problem with network. Maybe because my device is single sim?

Device name change is normal. But network issue is strange... I didn't have that. Flash stock using qfil to revert, I'll look into it later.
Did you format the data before flashing? Seems i forgot to include that point in the OP. Silly me...
Sorry for that.
Have a nice weekend.
Thanks :fingers-crossed:

What do you want to do with twrp? You can't even boot twrp with a locked bootloader.

Bricked anphone using this method its a A6020a41 now when trying to flash something back on it it says sahara fail.(probably because of device model change what to do?)
Is it possible modify some files on stock a6020a41 file to continue flashing when it sees a6020l36?

This rom doesn't have anything bootloader-related, so your sahara error is likely a driver issue. The model change is only seen in the system itself, but nothing on the hardware level is changed. So your a41 is still an a41.
There is a "back to stock" thread in the k5 plus forum, if you need to flash stock rom. Btw, that guide can be used to flash this vibeui port, the only difference is you need to change stock rom zip to vibeui port. The drivers part is important.

Whether it's and old thread or new, doesn't matter, I'm always behind everything i do here
Forgot to say, you might need to disable driver signature check. Just open cmd as admin and type
Code:
bcdedit /set testsigning on
To revert;
Code:
bcdedit /set testsigning off

I would not use a vm if i was you. The risk is big if a connection suddenly drops.
In my AFH repo there are drivers which I'm able to confirm working.
There's also a tool that removes unused usb drivers from windows, can't remember it's name. Search for it.
It is possible that you might have a problem I've never experienced before,

What is your phone's SoC and what exactly did you flash on it? So that i can tell if its a hardbrick.
What windows are you running? I haven't got any probs on win7.
I assume you have tried the drivers i told you to use.
There is a program called Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant. It's foolproof, and installs any driver it needs (afaik). "Repair" your phone through there. Then start flashing roms afresh.

this phone use mt6739.so i want to flash it the twrp to my phone.i dunno to unlock the bootloader but the twrp file not have for this device.
I just saw this post as I too have a Honor 7S
There is NO TWRP for our device.
The TWRP for the Honor 7A/7C/7X and Honor 7 doesn't work on our device and you got to pay 4 euros to unlock the bootloader before you can even flash TWRP (and there isn't one)
This Device is treble compatible but now I've found out there is zero development and no Devs Interested in it it's a complete and utter waste of time and has gone back into its box, never to be seen again.
hi there, I get this phone recently (because is old) and I created twrp for i,t so here it is, if you want some fun
you can flash it via flashtool on locked bootloader in to boot partition and after that you push twrp.img via adb to internal storage and flash it in to erecovery and recovery slot, and you are good to go

Hi I have a problem. I'm having brom issues in trying to flash it
Hi
I thinking you dont have "Authentication file" so you using "mtksecurebootdisabler",
so you need patch your drivers with libusb "patch".
Try this one, for me it works.
So open libusb that you install.
connect your honor7s to the pc with disconnected batery and hold volume down.
in patch option select your usb mtk device "idk how is called" and patch it
after patching reconnect phone and it will works.

and little hint
dont flash whole rom if the phone can boot becasue after clean flash "format+download"
you lost log and cust partition because the image files are not secureboot signed and your phone get in to bootloop
and also you lost imei codes so no cellular after that
If you do so
you can fix it in that recovery were I enabled option to format log partition
after you format log to ext4, your phone will boot but without huawei/honor bootanimation
you dont need to worry about cust partition, if you didnt format it it still boot but without bootanimation and you lost some of garbage apps that are in that partition (amazon etc...)
(twrp boots in russian language, idk for now how to change it to boot in english or slovak lanuage (because Im from slovakia) and also it have Lenovo Logo becasuse I use sources from Lenovo A5 that have same cpu)
I will make in future separated thread for this....
Thanks alot for this.. I don't know maybe I should try the disconnected battery. But from a yt link I saw
The link : Honor 7s Dua-Al000
I wonder how his worked
I'll have to know how to disconnect the battery thou. I'm a noob at this.

you can patch it or flash it without disconecting the battery
Here is how:
turn it off
Push and hold volume down
While holding volume down connect usb cable
But is recomended to disconect battery because the phone can boot up instead to go in flash mode.

Well he did with the battery and he add more steps that are not necessary for flashing, like scanning for COM port etc...
When I first try flash my 7s I download flashtool and didn't change any settings, I just load the rom and flash it.
So you must try to find your best way how to do and I will help you
And I wonder how he can flash the Log and Cust partition via flashtool, Maybe he have unlocked bootloader or something
Update: he have in the video description link for "lib usb" but didn't show it in video, or I'm just blind or something

At this point. Might just abandon it. Thanks for everything. Ran into laptop issue on my third trial lol.
Yeah I see, drivers issues, it happens to me too, but I install windows 7 and everything works... but I think is not worth it to format your laptop and install win7 only for this mediatek crap, where you can't unlock bootloader or anything because Huawei trying to protect customers and they believe that their android is best for they're phones

Honestly. I spend a whole night researching videos for the phone. Only to get that link I send. And after all that. It still didn't work. Lol. I have a Poco x3 pro. I wonder if snapdragon android 12 can be rooted. Probably going to try it next month or so.
Snapdragon is eazy for root.
I have Redmi note 11 and it was easy, now I running on Android 13 from stock android 11, if you will need some help with something, I'm here, and I think there is device forum so there is community for that device
