I tried installing a ROM on my T95K Pro using the SD Card method (Burn Card Tool) but unfortunately I somehow managed to brick it, copying a ROM to my SD Card using the Burn Card Tool does not work anymore, I tried copying two different ROMs but keep getting an error saying: L (1041) Check uboot file after read error.
hello
have you tried to use the Amlogic USB Burning Tool?
i flashed all my boxes with this tool and never had problems.

Thats's a limitation. USB port on Viewpad 7 is passive, so it can not read external sources.

I do recall someone talking about using a "USB OGO" cable to do something like what you are talking about... Look into it on "android.modaco.com" looks like a modified USB cable and a custom rom will let you attach a flashdrive to your USB port...
hope that helps...
I have one of these When You fist connect USB to PC it installs a virtual cd drive . You can either ignore it or let it install after that Plug in USB while tablet is on ,it will ask you to turn on USB storage tap turn on and SD card shows up on PC as a removable disk you can read and write to with Windows Explorer

No worries mate, I have been able to move files (mainly music) between my PC and the ViewPad, I just found it odd that since it will obviously act as a receiver through the USB port from a PC why wouldn't it receive directly from a USB memory? Obviously I don't know enough about how these things work.
According to some users the viewpad 7 kernel supports usb OTG where the devices acts as the host.

I played this morning with some USB cables and my Viewpad 7 and I found as follows:
1) You need USB OTG cable or USB OTG adapter with USB A female connector at one end and with USB Mini B male connector at second end - that end you should put in Viewpad 7 USB socket. With such a combination Viewpad 7 can read USB flash memories. I will try later other USB devices.
2) it worked fine on tj_style ROM and on Viewsonic stock ROM with Android 2.2.2.
3) Mouse works, but there is no cursor and the selection "jumps" from icon to icon.
4) Wireless keyboard, USB DVD player and USB hard disk do not work.
sorry for the maybe noob Q, but do I have to mount the usb memory or do i directly see the files in a folder...
I use ghost commander and cannot find the containing files...;-/
Thx in advance
--> Problem solved: It was the NTFS-Prob....With fat32 everything works like a charm...(no extra mounting...)

Hello guys.
I just bought a used xperia x10. It boots normally also sd card works but
when i connect it to pc it charges but the pc says nothing about any hardware found or so. like if i connected it to the PC when it is off.
tryed with both my PCs windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit also with 2 different usb cables. still no success.
the phone has following in Info:
Android Version
2.3.3
Baseband-Version
2.1.71
Kernel-Version
2.6.29-00054.g5f01537
[email protected] #1
3.0.1.G.0.75
Is this a USB brick?
If you're able to boot normally, I don't think your phone is bricked. My best guess would be an issue with the SD card. Have you tried reformatting the SD card?
Or if you have a spare SD card lying around, you could try that in place of your current one to check if it will connect to your PC.

how can tghe phone be bricked if its booting?
To OP: have you tried a new cable and a different computer?
the usb port on the X10 is iffy at best, mine stops charging at the slightest move of the cable..
Could try uninstalling seus from your PC and reinstalling it. Fresh the drivers will be freshly installed.

Hi
I have bought a usb connector to connect my flash drives with my phone. Every time i connect the connector i get the message USB connector connected but right after connecting the usb i get SD Card is Damaged. Try Reformatting it.
I used to have Omega rom and it was working fine for a couble of weeks but suddenly the message came up again so i flashed the official 4.3 android for S3. The problem still persists... FYI the phone is rooted and with stock rom and kernel.
Any help?
Thank you
I don´t have the problem with USB flash disk. Format: Fat32
I have tried all kind of format disk but still the message Damaged SD Card shows up..
And did you try another USB OTG or another Flash disk?
Yes i tried 3 usb flash drives and also USB OTG Checker app that gave me positive results about the cable..
I think the problem is with your otg cable. Go to a accessories shop and check it there before you buy it. If it's not with the otg cable then may be it must be with the port

Ok i finally figured it out. After a a lot of formatting of my usb drives on windows i tried to format those in my Puppy Linux OS with the same format as before (FAT 32). After that everything worked. Seems like linux can when Windows can't
Thanks for your help hope i helped other facing the same prob.

If it can read from the drive but not write then its probably a filesystem problem rather than a USB problem.
It sounds like your USB3.0 drive is using the NTFS format. If thats the case, the easiest fix would be to reformat it to FAT32.
No. It was formatted as fat32. I checked it.

Not sure but try stickmount by Chainfire. Need root. Won't write to NTSF.

I was hoping that i wouldnt need to root. Usb mouse and keyboard works fine without root.
I guess i'll stick to usb2.0 for a while.

This might sound strange, but is the USB OTG cable you're using specifically made for USB 3.0?
I've had trouble with those cables which would, surprisingly, work only with USB 2.0 drives.
Replacing the cable with an older USB 2.0 cable fixed the problem and worked fine with my USB 3.0 HDD !!
Try getting another cable.

I don't think cable is the problem. Same cable and pendrive work in my friend's mobile
But not in mine.
Hi Forum. I've tried to connect an OBDII scan tool unsuccessfully using OTG cable. Then I looked up the specifications and found the V10 does not support USB host mode. The V10 does not support USB host mode ?
I use my OTG cable all the time with USB drives and micro SD cards.
Not sure if that's different than what you're trying to do.
My obd II reader is bluetooth so I can't test that.

Connected my OTG cable with a Flash Drive attached and it worked for me. I was able to read the FD's contents using ES FIle Explorer.
OTG with flash drives and SD readers works fine for me.
Works well for me with flash drives and portable storage devices.
Works great for me hooked to my DSLR!!!
