What exactly are you trying to do?
Do you:
A: have service through a provider other than T-Mobile and it isn't working with your T-Mobile locked phone?
B: have service with T-Mobile but your T-Mobile phone w/ active T-Mobile SIM card is not getting a signal?
In the case of A all you have to do is SIM unlock to be able to insert and use sim cards from other providers. (if you wish to change OS, Radio, or other aspects of the phone you can CID unlock, but you shouldn't need to do this any more--SSPL will "trick" your phone into thinking it is unlocked)
In the case of B, it sounds like the phone was reported stolen and has been blacklisted by the carrier or carriers in the area. In which case the phone will not work as long as its IMEI matches the one on the blacklist.
T-Mobile which country?
If its T-Mobile Austria and you are living somewhere near my town send me a PM and I will help you.....
Here you go
.... if you post your full name and address I will certainly send you exactly what you deserve.
I'm sure Interpol would love to have a chat.
UK < there i buy that phone on market "second hand well" it is many places in uk where peoples sell the used goodnes for funy cash, so i bought that phone with just charger, what now when i put simcard to that phone from t-mobile
i have full range but i cant call :/ when i put another simcard i dont have any range just "!" i try unlock that phone with stuf from moderator our genius "Pof"
exactly "HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a" , after that still that same, so i have imei-lock, its easy to send to my friend i germany or poland there that phone will be work fine but i wona use that hermes everywhere? have anyboody any idea on change imei?
For ZZan:
a, no i dont have any signal on another provider i can use only t-mobile,i have signal on t-mobile simcard but i cant make call even on emergancy call,
b how i say i have signal(range) but i cant call out and anyboody cant call to me
hmm intresting is that what u say about sspl, becouse i change many times software on wm 6.0 and better radio i try anything, i use imie-check and still that same :/ now i back to wm 5.0 from t-mobile and im stock i dont have any idea what doing now, if that is stolen phone i dont wonna lost my money, i think everyboody will be think like that i dont sale stolen phone i just buing that phone and didnt know anything about his past, please help me : (
In Austria there are also a lot of places where you can buy cheap phones and other electronic stuff.
But guess where this stuff is from?
Lot of Junkies are breaking in cars and homes or stealing phones in bars and so on to sell them cheap to get money to buy drugs. And if I say "a lot" I mean a lot - some hundred each month in my town.
If you bought this phone very cheap and its IMEI locked then you made a bad deal, sorry. Try to call the provider, ask why the phone is IMEI locked. if its a stolen one go to the next police station, tell them the story and ask for a letter of confirmation that you bought this phone without knowing thats its a stolen one. Then your provider will remove the IMEI lock.

Trion Imei

Is it Possible to change the imei number on a o2 xda trion ? if so is it software based thing or is it Hardware as in do i need to buy a clip.......

BowFinger,
I am not sure if you expect any further replies to your questions because of your answers do not really motivate anybody ... !
However,
You should not attempt to change the IMEI number in your device because especially in the UK this is a very important thing (at least on O2 and Orange).
Whenever you make a phone call your IMEI will be checked to see if the phone was reported lost or stolen. If you insert an invalid IMEI number it will have just the same effect! The IMEI contains special information and is sorted in blocks. If you go ahead and change some values then you soon will figure out that network providers just can't identify your handset and do not allow you to call on their network.
You have 2 (legal) choices:
Work out things with O2
Change your network provider (as example switch to T-Mobile UK)
Cheers!
How would change network provider solve the imei problem,o2 have blocked it so t-mobile wont be able to unblock it. As far as i remember t-mobile lease mobile lines from o2 anyway?
The IMEI is only blocked (black listed) on the O2 network but not on others, meaning: you can't use the O2 network any longer but any other! As nice as it would be even for anti-theft protection - unfortunately network providers do not work together!

It might work like that in the US but in the uk,once the imei is blacklisted it is blacklisted on ALL networks. So the only place you can use the phone is abroad. Why do you think he wants to change the imei,so he can go back on O2 he has already stated what he thinks of them. He wants to change it so he can use it on another network.
So i am sorry to say it ,but you are wrong

Congratulations! I am glad to hear that providers work together in the UK!
Well, they must have 'joined-ventured' pretty fast because of I used to live in the UK until a couple of months ago!
Do they still SIM lock devices by default in the UK? This is one of the most things I hate here in the US ... Germany was better, they only locked PREPAY ...
Now with the supposed AT&T media net plan sweep a IMEI changer might actually be useful. I mean I'd love to upgrade to the AT&T Tilt (Kaiser) but am afraid they will transfer to the much more expensive data plan. I'd love to stick in am old IMEI number off of the many old phones I got lying around to avoid this. This is really a stupid rule it should be based on data useage not device type.

It has been like this since 1998 ,because of the dramatic rise in muggings for mobile phones, the idea being, it stops people stealing phones as they become worthless, but now you find they just unlock them, then sell them abroad
As for sim locking all the networks lock phones over here, unless you buy them from the carphone warehouse where they sell them on payg sim unlocked. But all contract phones are locked for 12-18 months depending on contract length, but they will unlock them for free after the contract ends.

[Q] How to unsimlocked my HTC HD2 ?

Hello,
First of all, sorry for my bad English, I am French.
I have a HTC HD2 blocked on a phone operator (Orange)
I bought an unlock code (20€) on this web site (unlock-phone-htc.com) and after 92h, no answer, no contact.
Anybody knows this site? Is it a swindle?
I need help.. I want to get back my money or to have this unlock code.
If there is a method to unlock my phone for free, i take !
Thank for helping
PeillY0u
No way to do it for free sadly.
you need to chase up the site for a refund, but check you gave them the correct imei, if not its your own fault and no refund.
also chech around here there are a few recommended sites, just look harder (try the search option it works well )
But even if I gave a bad IMEI, it is not normal that I have no news ! And effectively they asks only once the EMEI number and typing error is easily made :/
I would personnally never want to give my IMEI to anyone. With all those IMEI scams floating around.. Never give ur IMEI. Unless possibly to ur phone provider or the police. Seriously though, why pay 20 euros on a website, that has high chances to be a scam, rather than bring it in a shop where you know the guy will not dissapear... It also costs 20 euros to do it in shops, so.. its not about saving money, is it?
Anyways, check ur spams, ask the website, annoy them. Try and leave comments that u get no answer, and try and discourage future people wanting to buy from this site to get scammed

After 3 months, unlock a phone in france is free... Just ask the operator...
If the phone isn't at yur name, you have to join identity card of the real owner...

Help me figure out HUAWEI's algorithm in generating oem unlock codes

Hey there!
In the past few days I've been researching on how could HUAWEI generate their oem unlock codes. If you ALREADY got your unlock code, maybe, MAYBE you could help me and others.
HUAWEI and paid services use IMEI code (and probably serial number?) for generating the oem unlock code so I'm asking you to send this AND the unlock code they (or other third party) gave you. I will not share your data to anyone else, only me and a few friends of mine will know it, who also have HUAWEI phones and want it to be unlocked without having to pay or wait for a vulnerability to be exploited.
Why would you do it, and why risk your data by sending it to a stranger? Well, honestly, I don't know.
Chance of success? None
I am a simple man with a simple mind and I know 99% sure I will fail achieving anything but at least we are trying. I am not even close to being as clever as the guys making the software for the phone, but maybe it doesn't matter and they just have a very bizarre pattern in arranging the SN and IMEI... I really don't know.. I don't promise anything.
Now the only way to unlock your phone is through paid service, and its nearly 100% they will not give out any information about HOW they get the codes because they make profit out of it. (more than 30 dollars for a code that should be free? Heck no. I'm just too cheap probably
I know that moderators are not happy about me asking for these, if you are one of them feel free to delete my post.
Also, its my first thread, sorry if I didn't do everything as the rules expect it.
Thank you for helping out a few fellas who are not lucky enough to have an unlocked phone.
Have a good day.
Well, before I decide whether to give my details out, let me just tell you about something when it comes to Huawei's own bootloader code service.
They needed the following:
- The first IMEI if you use a phone with two IMEIs
- Serial number
- Product ID
To have the latter two, dial *#*#1357946#*#*.
Other notes include that the bootloader unlock code, or at least mine, is 16 digits long. My serial number is also 16 digits long, but the IMEI is 15 digits long. Finally, my product ID is 8 digits long. These correspond with my Mate 10 Lite (RNE-L21).
Good luck on decoding the secrets of their bootloader unlock generation!
