Hi,
I decided to try to root a recently acquired Moto E (XT1526/5.1) and got it unlocked easily enough by following directions online. I have downloaded the motorola usb drivers, TWRP, Android SDK, SuperSU, and tried different versions.
After following the unlock guide, it says DEVICE IS UNLOCKED. STATUS: CODE 3
I open the command prompt in platform-tools and enter fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (file was renamed), and it shows it's sending recovery OK, writing recovery OK, and finished.
After that things don't progress, and there are options that I can scroll through:
Restart Bootloader...
Power off...
Factory Mode - resets it to fac settings I think
Bar Codes...
BP Tools?
QCOM?
Bootloader Logs...
Start - does the warning that it's unlocked and then starts the phone.
Reocvery Mode - flashes the unlocked warning and nothing else. It goes back to fastboot flash screen.
Guides show it going to TWRP screen after running the command prompt, and then options to load up files.
Am I missing something?

Decided to install it on my desktop. While trying various files, my laptop accidentally got hit with Chromium virus. It looked like all required files were there, but kept having problems with a couple of those sdk files (tools/platform tools).
I'm still getting the following error:
( bootloader) has-slot :recovery: not found
And once again the Android SDK Tools and Android SKD Platform-tools that are under Tools (preview channel) are unchecked. Not sure if they are needed.

I believe I have downloaded and installed/reinstalled everything 2 or 3 times. I have followed the guide here while reading and watching the video. I googled for other guides to fill in any information I didn't understand or see clearly. That was before I made this thread. I was hoping there might be something that is commonly overlooked. Phone seems to be ready, so I am assuming it's on the pc side. I read there is a way to do it with just the phone, but I'll try one more time on my laptop since that's what I have to work on today.

OK, it is done.
Took a couple days with several hours of clicking, and checking settings, and reading and researching, and watching videos, and downloading, and installing/uninstalling, and restarting, but it's now rooted! Way too much time wasted even though it was raining and the gf and I were just watching movies for a lot of it. She kept asking me why I'd waste so much time and remind me I had a perfectly fine iphone nearby. Today I finally got to the point where I had given up. I figured something was screwed up with the phone after that reset on my computer.
Some highlights that may or may not be helpful for the next moto e rooter:
USB debugging was somehow switched to off a few times after I turned it on. Might have been after resetting phone, but who knows exactly.
I set screen to stay while connected via USB.
I removed all the apps I could and took out the sd card.
Kingoroot stuck at 66% many, many times, and then phone would restart. Research showed it may be accessing the wrong ADB instance or something. So I uninstalled SDK, fastboot, Minimal, etc. Anywhere it could have been hiding. Even did a system restore to last week the day I reinstalled windows. Didn't help one bit. Which is to also say... there are a half dozen or more legit options. Try different ones if you are relatively confident you followed directions the 1st 10 times.
Ministro didn't have moto e in their data base.
Finally back to XDA after checking a dozen videos (I have to admit I was completely dumbfounded and was mad at the whole process). I found XDA Kingroot and right away it worked, but it needed permission to allow apps that were not certified or some thing. I can see how people would think this is so easy. If I had started with this, I'd never have had to ask for help here. Btw, was this my problem all along? Did I miss that in the instructions or was it something else possibly? I don't remember if I did that before since it was 3 days ago.
So far I am thoroughly impressed with the this moto e. I paid $40 for it on a whim and now that I can remove a bunch of bloatware and customize it a bit, I think it may be a good gateway into android devices.

So I decided that I try and get TWRP to run on this phone. After researching, I followed a guide using stock firmware and a modified batch file. Phone is working, but wifi/4G/data isn't. I did all the basic trouble shooting and nothing works so I decided to just try install TWRP/supersu. The problem is that ADB isn't working again. It works when phone is on and shows up in adb devices, but not boot mode. Fastboot shows the device. But ADB doesn't show the device while in boot mode and it's not working.
I updated the drivers in the device manager.
I tried minimal fastboot and 15 second adb.
Reinstalled motorola drivers.
Anyone have any ideas?

First of all adb doesn't work in fastboot mode. It only works when the phone is up and running.
Try
fastboot devices
If it shows up your device's serial no. then you're good to go, everything's working fine.

Thanks for that information. I thought I saw adb devices command working in fastboot mode in one of the videos so I thought that was the problem. I thought adb needed to root the phone.
In order of what I've done with the phone so far:
Sent/got codes and unlocked moto e.
Turned on developer options and USB debugging.
Was then unable to get TWRP or the other cw something to work using the command fastboot flash recovery (file name) or fastboot boot... commands.
Gave up and installed Kingroot and everything worked fine.
Decided to try to install TWRP and superSU since kingroot had worked. I read that the phone needed to be flashed back to stock to do this and watched/read a couple of guides. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759495
I used the following named file:
SURNIA_ACG_LTE_5.1_LPI23.29-30_cid9_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC
The phone was changed back, but data doesn't work. I can't access wifi because as soon as I switch it on, it switches back off. 4G, etc is not working either. So after trying to figure that out I decided to just proceed and put TWRP/superSU on the phone.
I powered off the phone. Powered into fastboot mode connected the phone to my computer.
I opened Minimal fastboot folder and shift/right click to bring up the command prompt.
In the command promt i typed fastboot devices and it shows my phone.
I then type fastboot flash recovery (file name or renamed to recovery or renamed to TWRP or I click the actual file and drag it to the command prompt) and then hit enter.
It says it's doing stuff in so many seconds, but after nothing happens. The phone doesn't reset like some of the videos. If I reset it, it powers on, but not into the TWRP screen.
After that I did more reading and found out that adb doesn't always play nice with windows 8.1 and that you might need to force other drivers to make it work right. I did this next and was going to try all the available options from universal naked driver later, but there were no motorola drivers.
Then I came here and learned something new. ADB devices command doesn't work when the phone is in fastboot mode so that has no effect on installing twrp...
Right now I am considering trying to install the other stock files I have access to:
SURNIA_ACG_LTE_5.1_LPI23.29-20_cid9_subsidy-DEFAULT_CFC (20 instead of 30).
After that I am out of ideas if it's not the adb problem. Might kingroot again and go from there.
Ok after researching, it seems that LTE file may not work on sprint and there was success using the boost file from

Copy the twrp file in the sdk root file(right click the desktop icon and open file loaction ) and rename it as recovery
next step on that folder press shift button and right click and choose option open command window here. and type follwiong command without quotes and press enter "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" this will flash the twrp onto ur moto e

and open the command prompt with admin rights
Okay dude first of all get rid of those videos (no offense to youtubers).
Check if your device shows up in adb devices. (When phone is on)
Check if your device shows up in fastboot devices (When phone is in fastboot mode)
If both of them shows positive then your setup is fine. Now move on to next part.
Get the right stock image for your device.
Go to your about phone in settings and match with your build/build number. (or give me a screenshot of your about phone and I'll find it for you)
Avoid using any kind of batch file(If you don't know what's there inside) and try to flash manually one by one.
After that flash your twrp recovery.
When this is completed use volume buttons on your phone to get to "Recovery" options in fastboot mode then press power button to boot into recovery.
You'll successfully boot into recovery then from there flash SuperSU. Avoid using kingroot.
The reason your wifi/data stopped working is because of the wrong boot.img(kernel). Since you've flashed the boot.img of same phone but different variant, you were able to turn on your phone. If it had any wrong boot.img your phone wouldn't have turned on anyway.

Thanks! The devices shows up when on as ADB and in fastboot too. I had to take a break when the kernel download took 8 hours, but I think I got the file that will work to fix the wifi issue. I can't mess with it til I get home tomorrow, but I will read and follow all advice.
For the previous poster, I did do the admin rights and did rename TWRP file to recovery... I aslo tried many other combinations, but will keep it in mind for all further attempts.
Appreciate the help so far. I almost left it with the kingroot, but it was bugging me that I couldn't get it to go. Hopefully I'll have good new tomorrow.

Device shows up in both instances.
It's stock now and the wifi works. Flashed it back to stock by following Mdkcheatz guide here:

I'm stuck where I was when I first started this thread. I've set my account up as administrator. Developer is enabled and so is USB debugging. I downloaded 2 different TWRP Condor files (3.0 and 2.7). I tried both and renamed them recovery just in case.
I confirmed the connection:
fastboot devices
I try to flash it with the:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It says:

I'm running windows 8.1 (64 bit). I read that some people had had problems with windows 8. Kingroot worked through the app store. It has been flashed with various stock kernels and that usually takes a few minutes so I don't think it's doing much in half a second. I'll research a bit more, but I think it just a bad combination of this version phone and windows 8.1.
I started the phone after this last attempt. Are there any files in internal storage that I should look for?

Flashed the wrong recovery dude. You're flashing twrp of condor.

After done flashing. Open recovery mode and flash SuperSU.
Also I don't think there's any problem with windows 8.1
As long as you're opening cmd with admin rights and adb/fastboot commands are working for you everything's fine.

Just in time for Easter! You are correct. TYVM! I'm in TWRP and have to see about read only option again (read about it a week ago, I think it said to leave initially). SuperSU is next and then off to the races.

I am on v2.65. Should I use this version? I checked root and it's rooted, but I needed to use no bloat app (instead of free titanium) to remove some apps. Is that normal? I thought once rooted and set up, I would have complete control. Some apps seem very invasive so I haven't grabbed many yet. I have some questions about apps, etc., but will probably research and ask in another forum if needed.

I need your help. Given what I already (unsuccessfully) tried, I'm not sure if there will be a solution, at all...worst case, my Huawei Smartwatch isn't usable anymore,,,
Given that there is a preview version of WEAR Version 2.0 available, I thought it might be good idea to install and test. In fact, given that I manually/successfully installed the WEAR Version 1.4, some months ago, I was sure that I can manage to do it, with the preview version, as well.
I followed the steps, which you can find here developer.android.com/wear/preview/downloads
The point is, after the update has been done (given the message in ADB) the Smartwatch didn't automatically start to reboot. I was waiting about 30- 40 minutes, but nothing happened. So, I rebooted the watch by my own, via the fastboot menu.
But, the watch was only booting up to the Huawei Logo and nothing more did happen. I was also waiting for 30 - 40 minuntes.
After that, I googled and found a way how to access the fastboot mode (long and shore pressing of the power button of the watch) Here I tried the possible options. But, I would say, the only option which worked was "shutdown". All the other option, except fastboot recovery, brought me to the same result, as described above. Finally, I tried fastboot recovery, which might have made the situation even worse...means, after the Huawei Logo I can see a fallen over "android" with a open flap / a sign with a bang plus some text lines. But, it's so fast disappearing, nobody can read...even this is coming up again and again.
Next what I wanted to try is, to flash the WEAR version 1.4 again. But, it seems to be that ADB doesn't find the Huawei device anymore. (command ADB Devices doesn't show me any device)
Meanwhile, even it is somehow not logical (as it was working before with my "Standard Win 10 PC and the drivers installed) I tried 3 different PC with different combinations of Windows Version (7,8, 10), USB Ports (2.0 and 3.0) and probably almost all Android USB Drivers you can find.on the WEB. I even followed a procedure how to modify the INF file with some HUAWEI specific entries. I also let the watch run, overnight, in the loop mode, so the battery got empty..which really didn't help, as once loaded again, the watch started with the "loop procedure" again. However, I tried all the steps I did before, once again.
Regarding ADB/Fastboot, I'm not using the full Android SDK package, but the minimal version, at first version 1.1.3 and the later 1.4.3. I also followed the hints to open a command line with shift and right click "in" the respective ADB folder.
So, as you can read, I already tried a lot of thinks with no luck. in fact, I wasn't able to find anything more when I googled.
Hope you / some Android "guru's" can help me, now.
Here some of my current thoughts to which you have answers/comments.
1. Could it be, that the watch is totally broken and can't be "repaired" anymore?
2. Could it be, even the watch is in the fastboot mode, that the watch really isn't in a "full" one (...because the upgrade procedure of WAER 2.0 somehow failed) and this might be the reason, why ADB can't find the device anymore?
3. If 2. is really the case, is there any way to force a "full" fastboot mode?
4. Do you have any other idea, what can be done to make ADB aware of the device?
5. Is there meanwhile a specific ADB driver for the HUAWEI watch available? / Can somebody send me a link to a driver which is definitely working with that watch.
6.Whatever you can think of.
I really would appreciate any help to get my problem fixed.

TL;DR
When you used flash-all.bat it wipes your userdata partition. That means all settings are back to default. So no developer options, no adb debugging.
You can only use fastboot.
Code:
fastboot devices -l
needs to show your device.
- Then untargz the factory image.
- unzip the *.zip
- print out the flash-all.bat (or open in an editor)
use these commands:

fastboot reboot-bootloader
sleep 5
and now flash each image in sequence (boot, cache, recovery, system, userdata.img
fastboot's 2nd param is like the basename of the corresponding .img file

first of all, THANKS A LOT, my watch is alive, again.
FYI, what I did...both ways are working, but as I saw, that you updated the procedure, I did the flash the watch two times. To add, I flashed the WEAR 2.0 Preview version.
1. The normal flash process by using one IMG and the one ZIP file, following the steps in the flash-all.bat.
2. Your updated "version", means the IMG file, plus all IMGs (extract from the ZIP file) plus the steps you have written, above.
I just finnished number 2 and the watch is synchronizing..looks good so far.

that's a horrible thread, besides just being vague, i tried to install the TWRP recovery as suggested from that link. It worked in installing the custom recovery, but left me stuck in recovery. After pulling the battery out umpteenth times, pressing the volume down button and/or the power button i finally got back into the OS. The Fortune 2, Andr OS 7.1.2 Nougat isn't compatible w/ TWRP. At least it didn't seem at all compatible w/ mine.
as far as the OP. using fastboot, the original ROM from LG and rebooting into fastboot mode, Magiskk works fine. the one click solutions i couldn't get to work, but why would ya want to if you can use Magisk.
need a couple of things to get started. https://github.com/Snoop05/adb-installer. I would go ahead and install the drivers from this. the WinDoze drivers failed to work as did the Google drivers w/ the full SDK. Open a cmd or powershell prompt (i have a habit of opening any of these in admin mode). When ya install the platform-tools, i would keep it simple (ie. C:\\platform-tools ... C:\\blah ... etc) something easy to get too in the confines of a DOS prompt. Need to test your driver is showing up for phone. adb devices or .\adb devices.
ya need ... i would suggest the boot.img file, so your going to need the "WindowsLGFirmwareExtract" tools and of course the LG firmware: https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-lmx210cm-firmwares/ ... it's a kdz file, don't freak, that's what the extract tool is for, but it only gets ya too a bin file for the boot.img. just rename the boot.bin file to boot.img. sometimes the same exact file works fine with fastboot, other times i have to use the raw command.
getting into fastboot was easy enough. you seem to be using the same sys i am. lm-x210cm andr OS 7.1.2 Nougat Cricket Fortune 2. Soooo, what worked for me, power down, then hold the vol down button, release, then hold and simutaneously insert your tether cord.
you should be looking at your cmd/powershell window now. if you haven't already, install the Magisck Manager and run ... there's plenty of tutorials already on this. the only thing maybe worth mentioning, is ya may have to issue flash:raw instead of just the flash for the fastboot command.
Once done, it's going to factory reset your machine, so hopefully your using Titanium Backup or Dr Fone .... something where it's easy to get most of your stuff back.

With the recent launch of LineageOS 18.1 I decided to take the plunge and get it installed on my fully stock Videotron/Freedom H915. Since I had to smash together info from a half dozen other threads, I figured I'd gather it all together here for folks with a Canadian phone trying to make this work.
Since I knew absolutely nothing coming into this, I'm going to go a little more detailed on this write-up. If you've been flashing ROMs since the old days of Cyanogenmod you can probably skim half of this.

If you've picked up an H915 on ebay and you are intending to use it on a network other than the one it's SIM locked on, make sure you do the whole SIM unlock process on the stock ROM either before you get started at all, or once you've reverted to the vulnerable stock ROM after Step 1 below.
I actually use Telus as my provider and I wasted a bunch of time trying to figure out why I couldn't get signal because only the stock ROM will prompt you for a SIM Unlock code. Lineage will just sit there dumbly and not allow you to enable data.
Once you've unlocked the SIM it will stay unlocked from that point forward, just make sure to unlock it and verify your SIM is working with LTE on the stock ROM before you get started.
IMPORTANT NOTE #2
Use LGUP's "DUMP" feature to take a backup of ALL partitions on your phone before you start. If you're reading this thinking "I just bought this phone off ebay, there's nothing on it I care about", take the backup anyway. You never know when you might need a copy of the modem partitions or other things from your phone's original build. It came in super handy for me in troubleshooting the process. So go do a backup!
Current Issues:
If signal is too weak to connect to a tower (or non-existent), the OS tends to crash with a modem error. Still trying to figure this one out.
I think I can get this working without first jumping to US996 but haven't had a chance to verify that. If I do I'll update the thread.

Different Boot Modes
For those not familiar with these phones, there are three different "modes" the phone can boot into. Here's a quick reference on how to boot into each one.
Download Mode
This mode is used for pushing KDZ files or individual partition backups using LGUP
Turn Off Phone
Hold the Up-Volume Button
Insert USB-C Cable with other end already plugged into PC
Bootloader (aka Fastboot) Mode
The H915 doesn't come with this mode by default. If you try it, you'll just get battery charging. We'll be temporarily converting the phone to a US996 in order to use the DirtySanta exploit to replace the bootloader partition with a leaked Engineering aboot.
This mode is used with the fastboot tool to load the TWRP utility into the Recovery partition.
Turn Off Phone
Hold the Down-Volume Button
Insert USB-C Cable with other end already plugged into PC
Recovery Mode
The recovery mode on a stock phone is used to perform a factory reset. We will be using the Factory Reset a couple times with the stock ROMs, then replacing the contents of the recovery partition with the TWRP tool that allows us to format partitions, load partition images, and sideload apps and LineageOS itself.
Turn Off Phone
Hold the Down-Volume Button
Press and hold Power-On (rear fingerprint sensor/button). When LG Logo appears, release power button for 1 second then press and hold again
When "Factory Data Reset" appears, release all buttons
Press Volume Down to highlight "Yes" then press power button to select the option
Repeat for the confirmation
Note about flashing KDZ files using LGUP
You can flash KDZ files onto the phone using LGUP from two places - either with the phone in "Download Mode", or with the phone booted into the OS with the USB Options set to "File Transfer" and USB Debugging turned on.
The difference between these two is when it performs the OS compatibility check.
In Download Mode it's the code of the Download Mode partition that does the check. In the OS, it's the OS that does the check before booting to Download Mode and bypassing Download Mode's check.
Why is this important? Because when converting from one phone to another (Say, an H915 to a US996 like we do below), you initially can't flash the KDZ using LGUP's "Upgrade" function. You can only use "Partition DL" to replace the contents of partitions with the contents of the KDZ. This kind of works, but ends up with a phone that will sometimes identify as a H915 (in Download Mode) but sometimes identify as a US996 (in the OS). To clean it up, once you've done the Partition DL method, you can do it again from the OS and use the Upgrade method to get a really clean install.
It works going back the other way as well when you want to return to stock.
If this doesn't make sense, don't worry. You don't need to fully understand it to follow the instructions below, I just found it to be interesting info that didn't seem to appear in other threads.
Process Overview
Revert the phone to an old/vulnerable stock Nougat ROM for Videotron/Freedom Mobile
Enable Dev Options
Dump contents of US996 KDZ partitions over top of existing partitions
Cleanup by re-flashing US996 KDZ partitions over top of existing partitions
Transfer files to the SDCard and install Terminal Emulator
Unlock the Bootloader using the DirtySanta exploit
Boot to old TWRP and install new TWRP
Boot to new TWRP, install LineageOS, Google Apps, and flash modem partition image
Reboot to LineageOS
Actual Process
1 - Revert the phone to an old/vulnerable stock Nougat ROM for Videotron/Freedom Mobile
We need to be on Nougat for this to work, so if you're on Oreo you have to downgrade to Nougat before we begin. I chose a Nougat ROM for the H915 that's vulnerable to the DirtySanta exploit because I know it works and because I'm hoping in the future to be able to skip converting the phone to a US996 if possible.
Boot phone into Download Mode
Launch LGUP with Patch
Select "Upgrade" radio button
Select bin file : H91510e_00_VTR_CA_OP_1205.kdz
Click Start
When finished phone will reboot
1.5 - Do this if Step 1 Failed... Otherwise continue to Step 2
Depending on what's loaded on your phone when you start, it might complain about doing Step 1. This should allow us to bypass the issue and allow Step 1 to work. You can use this step if you've already converted the phone to another model as long as it's not bricked.
Boot phone into download mode
Launch LGIP with Patch
Select "PartitionDL" radio button
Select bin file : H91510e_00_VTR_CA_OP_1205.kdz
Click Start
Click the "Select All" partitions checkbox and click OK. When done it will reboot.
If it hangs or loops on reboot, boot into "Recovery Mode" (which at this point will Factory Reset the OS)
The phone boots into the OS
Quickly go through setup wizard. Skip as many things as possible.
Go Settings - General - About Phone - Software Info - Make sure it identifies as H91510e
Change the USB Option mode to "File Transfer"
Then repeat Step 1, but from inside the OS instead of in Download Mode
2 - Enable Dev Options and File Transfer Mode
We need these enabled after every time we flash the OS so that our LGUP and adb commands will work. You'll get used to doing these steps a bunch.
Quickly go through setup wizard. Skip as many things as possible.
Unplug USB-C cable
Swipe down from the top and change from USB Charging mode to File Transfer mode
Settings - General - About Phone - Software Info
Tap on Build Number many times until it unlocks Developer Mode
Go back 2 menus and enter the new "Developer Options" menus
Make sure "Enable OEM Unlock" is enabled
Enable "USB Debugging" (will be greyed out if USB-C cable is still attached)
Go back to main screen
Plug USB-C cable back in.
A pop-up will appear asking to Allow USB Debugging. Check the "Always Allow" box and tap OK
3 - Dump contents of US996 KDZ partitions over top of existing partition
The Videotron/Freedom KDZ has no Bootloader/Fastboot mode. If you try to enter bootloader mode you'll just end up charging the battery. So we have to cross-flash the US996 KDZ to get a phone with a bootloader which we can then replace with the engineering version using the DirtySanta exploit.
Boot phone into download mode
Launch LGUP with Patch
Select "PartitionDL" radio button
Select bin file : US99610f_00_1205.kdz
Click Start
Click the "Select All" partitions checkbox and click OK
When the phone boots back into the OS, repeat all of Step 2.
Note: If it asks for a password on startup, follow the "Boot to Recovery" steps and since
we don't have anything loaded in the recovery partition it will wipe/erase the phone
and remove the password.
4 - Cleanup by re-flashing US996 KDZ partitions over top of existing partitions
As mentioned in the "Note about flashing KDZ files using LGUP" section above, after you use the PartitionDL method you get a kind of dirty phone image that doesn't always identify as its new model. To clean up, we repeat the process in Upgrade Mode, taking advantage of the fact that at least the OS now identifies as US996 even if Download Mode doesn't. After this, Download Mode will also identify as US996.
Starting booted into the OS with a USB-C cable attached (File Transfer mode, USB Debugging on):
Launch LGUP with Patch
Select "Upgrade" radio button
Select bin file : US99610f_00_1205.kdz
Click Start
When the phone boots back into the OS, repeat all of Step 2.
5 - Transfer files to the SDCard and install Terminal Emulator
We will need some files on the SDCard in the phone in order to install them, either inside the OS (in the case of Terminal Emulator), or later on from TWRP. The Terminal Emulator will be used for the DirtySanta exploit so we need to get that installed now.
Make sure the USB Connection is set to Data Transfer mode and copy the following files to the SDCard:

Enable installing apps from unknown sources by:
Settings - General - Fingerprints and Security - Unknown sources (turn it On)
Install Terminal Emulator:
Tools - File Manager
Choose "Allow" when prompted
Click the up-arrow next to "Internal Storage"
Choose SD Card
Scroll down and tap on jackpal.androidterm-1.0.70-71-minAPI4.apk
Install
6 - Unlock the Bootloader using the DirtySanta exploit
The US996 KDZ has a bootloader but it's locked. In order to unlock it we need to use the DirtySanta exploit to give us permissions to replace the Bootloader/Fastboot with a leaked engineering version.
Starting booted into the OS with a USB-C cable attached (File Transfer mode, USB Debugging on):
Settings - General - About Phone - Software Info
Verify that Software Version lists as US99610f
Copy the twrp-3.0.2-1-us996.img file into the folder containing the LG V20 Root Package
Open a command prompt window and change to the folder containing the LG V20 Root Package and run "Step1.bat"
It will push multiple files to the phone and apply some patches/exploits.
This proces will take 5 minutes and put you out at an "elsa:/ $" prompt
At this "elsa:/ $" prompt in your command prompt window type the following:
run-as con
chmod 0777 /storage/emulated/0/*
On the phone, launch Terminal Emulator and run the following:
id
Verify that the string which comes back contains the string "context-u:r:untrusted_app".
If not, run Step1.bat again, else continue forward
Enter the follosing command into Terminal Emulator (be very careful to type it properly):
applypatch /system/bin/atd /storage/emulated/0/dirtysanta
If that command came back with an error, close and re-open Terminal Emulator and try again
The command should begin to patch another file. This will take 5 minutes and will return you to the "elsa:/ $" prompt in Terminal Emulator when it has finished
Open another command prompt to the same folder and run "Step2.bat"
This step will download backup copies of the boot and aboot partitions from the phone then boot the phone into bootloader/fastboot mode.
You'll know it worked if the first line at the top of the phone screen appears in red
In the command prompt window, run Step3.bat
It will flash boot1.img and the TWRP Recovery image multiple times then restart the phone
The phone will hang, no matter how long it's left. Wait 5 minutes (at least until the logo re-loads once) then do the following:
Unplug the USB-C cable
Remove the battery from the phone to turn it off
Replace the battery
Boot into Fastboot mode and run the following commands in your command prompt:
fastboot flash boot bootbackup.img
Remove the USB-C cable and battery to turn off the phone. Then replace the battery and enter Recovery Mode
The phone will show a big red exclamation mark saying "Your device is corrupt". This is normal. It will go away after a few seconds then boot into recovery. This error screen is the result of the engineering "aboot" image that was flashed to give us an unlocked bootloader and will always happen on boot.
7 - Boot to old TWRP and install new TWRP
The old version of TWRP recovery will load. Don't ask me why we can't just go straight to new TWRP above, it didn't work well when I tried it.
If it asks for a password to decrypt data, click Cancel
Swipe to allow modifications
Install - Select Storage - MicroSD Card - OK
Install Image - Scroll down and tap the "twrp-3.5.1_9-0-us996.img"
Select the Recovery partition and swipe to confirm flash
Back to main menu
Reboot - Recovery
8 - Boot to new TWRP, install LineageOS, Google Apps, and flash modem partition image
The new version of TWRP will load:
Check the "Never show this screen during boot again" box
Swipe to allow modifications
Wipe - Format Data - type "yes" to continue
This is likely to fail the first time. Repeat it to properly format the data partition.
Go back to Main Menu - Wipe - Advanced Wipe - Select "Dalvik / ART Cache", "System", and "Cache"
Swipe to wipe
Back to main menu
Advanced - ADB Sideload
Plug in USB-C cable
Swipe to start sideload
In command prompt window on PC type the following:
adb sideload lineage-18.1-20210506-nightly-h910-signed.zip
When complete tap "back" and "ADB Sideload" and swipe again to apply another file:
adb sideload MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm64-20210412_124247.zip
If you want to root the phone (completely optional, not necessary for this process), now is the time to do it. Tap "back" and "ADB Sideload" and swipe again to apply another file:
adb sideload Magisk-v23.zip
Go back to main menu - Install - Install Image - tap the h915freedommobilemodem.img file
Select the Modem partition and swipe to confirm flash
Remove USB-C cable
9. Reboot to LineageOS
Go back to main menu - Reboot - System - Swipe to reboot

Just want to confirm, it's only guide wich works for me. But I have issues with modem:
1. When I tried to change mode of modem, "prefered network type", phone stayed in the loop of the kernel panic "modem crash"
2. It were difficult to revert changes back. Finally, safe mode (in order to get it, you need to press volume up and volume down in the same time, during LinageOS booting process) helped me - when I disabled airplan mode, I had 2-10 seconds until next kernel panic. And in ~10 attempts, I were able to finally switch modem's mode to GSM/WDCMA/LTE
3. I used this phone 3 days, and once the kernel panic (because of modem) happened again
Any ideas what to do with modem? Also, the picture "Your phone is corrupt" is not fan Any ideas how to change it?
I did my best to follow all the instructions but after step 7's reboot I just get blocks full of static. I can tell it's trying to do fresh install setup though from what's peeking through the blocks.

This is normal. Flash a kernel that's patched for dirty santa OR, cover the proximity sensor on boot and keep it covered until boot is complete.

After multiple attempts going back and forth with step 6, I finally did it! I might switch to Lighthouse or Arros but I wouldn't have gotten this far without your guide.
I (seemingly) successfully unlocked my Realme's bootloader yesterday, I even managed to get into the bootloader through the DeepTest app, flash TWRP and get into it, but after resetting the phone, the recovery got overwritten by the stock one and now I cannot get into fastboot by any means.
adb reboot bootloader only displays a message for a split second and then reboots into OS again. Which happened before as well.
However, the DeepTest app doesn't show the Check query button (through which I could get into the fastboot) anymore and the only other button there is Apply to exit in-depth test which only displays You can apply to exit in-depth test after carrying out bootloader lock operation in fastboot mode, but tapping on Ok doesn't do anything.
The phone still seems to be working (even fp sensor), I just cannot get into fastboot.
I've also tried flashing the EU (A.54) build to the B.63 build, nothing changed.
How do I resolve this?
/EDIT: I should also mention that after the first wipe (right after confirming bootloader unlock) the DeepTest app was still working as intended, however after the custom recovery was overwritten by the stock one, it started misbehaving as written above. Wiping the internal storage again (through recovery) didn't fix anything as well.
