I just got an Honor 9, and I am very happy with it. But there is one thing I don't like. I can't control the volume of my Bluetooth speaker from the phone. The volume is not synced with the phone. With my old Sony Xperia Z3 with Lollipop I had one synced volume control. When I pressed the volume button on the phone the volume of the speaker increased. And when I pressed the volume button on the speaker, the volume control on the phone increased.
So my question is, can someone with Oreo test if this has been fixed/changed in Android 8 Oreo?
The easiest way to test this is:
1. Connect the phone to a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth headphones.
2. Play some music.
3. With the phone screen on, press one of the volume buttons on the speaker and see if the volume control changes on the phone like is this:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If you can see the volume control change, then it is fixed/changed in Oreo.
Thanks in advance.

Volume keeps lowering on my phone, not the actual volume setting (its maxed on all sliders)
But in winamp playing my music its gotten lower, (not as loud as my friends, almost inaudible at work)
Ringtones are LOUD as normal, but "Hearing" and "Being Heard" during a phone call, even on speaker is SO LOW compared to a couple weeks ago.
I've had:
Stock +Root (by entropy) - currently using
MIUI-1.11.9 (galnet) - starting not working, had to remove
Lite'ning Rom v6.1 (Cozmoz?) - had issues, had to remove
- I'm using Entropy DD 12/12/2011 (NON-exp)
- I'm also using "Crysis battery gauge"

Bump. Was this answered elsewhere? I seem OK on stock from now (from lite 'ning) but it varies between hearing and not able.
Sometimes speaker is loud then dims real bad making conversation suffer . Gets worse without speaker on

So I have tried to turn down the volume of the notification sound and it seems like it does not get very quiet at all. I have it at the lowest setting before it actually goes to silent. Is anyone else having this problem or is there a way that I can make these notification sounds quieter so they do not wake the dead?
You could find the tones online or ones you prefer more, then lower the volume of them with audacity or some other free software.
My facebook notifications vibrate only. Any ideas?

In facebook hit menu button then Settings>Notification Ringtone to change it. It's possible it got pointed toward a tone that doesn't exist anymore somehow.
Was there any solution to this? I have the same problem where the notification volume is way too high, and moving the slider in the settings does practically nothing. The volume sliders work fine for the media, system, and phone ringtones. However, the one for notification seems broken. I tried searching, but found nothing similar. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
I use SuperBox Pro for my volume settings.

So i bought a new pair of Philips headset from a local shop and was searching for an app to utilise the headset buttons for player control.
I stumbled upon this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.philips.cl.headset&hl=en
The app is a great tool to enhance the sound quality of the phone through headphones. Just go to 'Sound' option and adjust the cursor for best suitability. I took it towards 'Powerful' and the thump or bass it gives on any headphones is just too good to be compared with any other app out there. I use Playerpro Pro and equalizers are kept off. Dont want to talk much abt controls as they work as any other general headset app.
It is especially useful in case of those ordinary (including Samsung) headphones which dont really produce as much as thump or bass as professional headphones. I also have 'Twinwoofers' headphones which dont require any such enhancement as the bass is already so powerful. But for any other not so professional headphones i recommend this app.
Do give your feedbacks.

Hey All,
I have pair of Sony MDR10R headphones (with mic and remote) that I have been using with a Z1s and Z for several months. Since I have gotten my Z2 I am noticing that the device is being detected as a headphone only device and as a result the mic and remote button do not work. The behavior is inconsistent, but about 90% of the time it is detecting it as headphone only.
Most other headsets with Mic work fine and detect correctly except for these. I have tried a couple different pairs of Sony headphones with remotes and see the same type of inconsistent behavior. As a result I never know how the unit is going to function when I plug in the headphones. I'm just not sure as result if this is a software issue or a problem with the headphone port.
Has anybody seen any similar behavior ?
Below are some screen shots of what I see in the notification tray:

Sony supplies some odd mics with their headphones, I have a pair of MDR-1R (awesome headphones btw) but their mics don't work with any android handset
Hi, I have the Redmi Note 2 with Cyanogenmod 12.1 . I would like to change my volume parameters (increase max headset volume for example) but I don't know how. I usually used the Engineer Mode in other phones, but i can't find it here.
Thanks!
no engineermode on any cm builds for rmn2, you can use xposed+gravitybox or viper4android to max your volume
