Hi all, my SM-G9280 still cannot log into Snapchat. I've rooted the phone (since it doesn't come with Google Play Services). The android vers is 6.0.1 and Baseband is G9280ZCU2BPK1.
My phone is Chinese so it does not come with Google Play Services, and I have to root to get it.
I've tried :
1) RootCloak + Cydia Substrate. Doesn't work for some reason.
2) Xposed + Root Cloak. Installing the xposed framework crashes my phone and causes a bootloop. Recoverable by flashing the stock ROM and resetting phone though.
(EDIT: Xposed + Root Cloak does work now, I've added Snapchat to the list of root-hide apps, but it still does not allow me to log into Snapchat.)
3) Unrooting and Rerooting. Unrooting removes Google Play Services along with the root and Snapchat does not work if Google Play Services is not present.
I would try Titanium Backup with Snapchat except I don't have a second android device avaliable.
Is there any other solutions that I can do to log into Snapchat?
Can someone help me? Please?
Bump, can someone please help me?
Bumped again... Please someone help me with this issue.
First off why would removing root remove Google play services? This is not how this works. From the looks of it you have a china based device that didn't come with Google stuff installed. Take care of that first. Then root after.
Yeah, I have to root in order to get Google stuff.
As far as I know for my device there is no way to get Google Play Services other than rooting.

Well then I would root get the Google stuff and unroot. As they are not connected you should be able to pull it off.
I tried that. But as soon as I unroot Google Play Services dissapears and when I unroot using SuperSU it causes a bootloop, which is solvable by flashing the custom ROM,
So that doesn't work. Or am I doing something wrong with the unrooting process?

You are doing something wrong along the way. If you have a custom rom then you should have a custom recovery as well. At That point all you have to do is flash the rom and a gapps package. Dont flash any root apps. If they are built into the rom then that may be a bit harder to deal with.
I don't have a custom rom...
The way I got Google Play Services and Google Play to work is I rooted, then used a third-party app (Not OpenGApps) to install Google Play Services, the framework, and everything else.
I still have my stock rom, it's just rooted and has google play services that's all.
The fix is easy. Just grab another phone that is rooted but without Xposed Framework, you install SC and login. After login do a backup of the app with Titanium backup then move the backup to you Note 5/Galaxy s6+ and do a restore of the app's data (data has log in token). That's all ?
Now, if you don't own another phone then you have have to install stock ROM, then log in to your SC using the stock ROM without any modding (rooting) yet. After login root the phone and do a backup with Titanium backup. You can restore your Login data anytime after doing the backup. That's all.
I think that the problem with the log in may be because of the Knox counter in the ROM being triggered. Hope it's works for you. I use this exact method to fix the log in issue.

Read the OP.
I don't have another phone to do Titanium Backup.
When I install Stock ROM, Google Play Services and Framework is not installed therefore Snapchat doesn't work.
Would clearing EVERYTHING, then flashing Stock ROM, then getting OpenGApps help? Because if so then I can do that except i do not know how to setup OpenGApps...
Okay, so I got TWRP then flashed TWRP, then got OpenGApps to get Google Play Services.
I then unrooted but it took away Google Play Services and everything as well. I can't login to Snapchat.
Am I still doing something wrong here?
Bump, posted this on a couple of other forums and no one has replied with a solution
Someone help solve please
Bump.
Bump, I've been able to somehow install Xposed and root cloak. I've added Snapchat to the list to hide the root from the app, but it still won't let me log in.

Nope
I've posted this in several other forums and no one has helped me, or at least provided a solution.
I find in playstore I can find Super Mario Run to register but if I install root such as SuperSu it disappears and says My device is not compatible. Is there anyway to have root and still be able to download tomorrow?
It's because Super Mario Run uses Google SafetyNet. If that piece of software detect modified files on your phone, it will not let you download the app from the Play Store. But you can still download the APK from APK Mirror. But beware. Everytime you quit the game, you have to delete deviceaccount.xml in data/data/com.nintendo.zara/shared_prefs or else, you will have an infinite error loop.
I'm using NOS ROM with magisk and it's working fine.
Using Nos it doesnt work. Any help?
Did you tried to install magisk? It's working for me with magisk.
Its not very clear - what does magisk do?
And what do I need to do to then get Super Mario Run working? - is it just a case of installing Magisk and then SMR starts working, or are there more steps?
Can installing Magisk break my rooted/custom rom phone?
use magisk for that about safty net baypass already made thread for it.....
in rr u need one more file
to flash after magisk flash
Good point id like to know too
does magisk work with miui dev global officially unlokc ?
Do I need to uninstall supersu installed by twrp zcx too ?
Where do I find the magisk files ?
OK - so i did this in the end
Go to play store and download Migisk Manager
run it and then download / install when prompted
reboot
open Magisk Manager go to HIDE and HIDE Super Mario RUN
I also went to setting and set Magisk to be Hidden from Applications (or something like that)
Mario Run works - as does Pokemon Go!
Hope that helps you out
Sup people. This guide is adapted from this one
First and foremost, I'd recommend that anyone who uses magisk installs this module
1. Freeze any other audioFX, musixFX, dolby service etc using titanium backup
2. Rename /system/ect/audio_policy.conf to audio_policy.conf.bak
3. Install Selinux permissive script thru magisk
4. Install busybox thru magisk or play store
5. Install v4a thru magisk repo or here. (IF not installed thru magisk, you must install it as a system app. Do this by moving it to /system/app and setting permissions to rw-r--r--)
6. Reboot
Profit

Bro, Arise Magnum Opus is an app?
Does it actually process though? That's been my big issue is viper says it is supported but never processing. Been that way ever since like Android 6 for me. Hit or miss processing. (never worked over a USB DAC). Does it process through the headphones with the dongle?
Edit: I installed the Arise Magnum Opus version of Viper.
It's a bit complicated. More than the standard flash a zip and have it work. But I got it working now. And processing through the DAC. My issue was it not processing GPM streams. Arise has a toggle for deep buffer for streaming that had to be turned off.

Did you check whether your device stands certified now in the Play Store settings?
Thanks for trying to help. I reflashed the room. Now everything's fine. I think the problem was from systemless Xposed module.
// I fixed it. If you have the same problem visit my guide: [Guide] How to fix any broken Play store
Hello everyone reading this!
I hope you can help me with my problem.
My problem is the following thing:
I was having some problems with my play store so i wanted to reinstall it.
So uninstalled Google Play Store with root but the problem is that i couldn't install it again.
(And i only make backups of my boot partition because i don't have so much space to backup data in twrp.)
When i try to install play store again with the latest apk of it then it just crashes. I also tried installing it as system by moving it to /system/app with the correct permissions but still not working. And i also tried it on /system/priv-app but it just disappears there.
I found out that if i use a old version of the play store (9.8.07) then it doesn't crash right away. But i still cannot use it properly. It crashes when trying to install something.
I also found out that if i try to uninstall something with this old version then it doesn't crash right away but it says "uninstalling" forever.
So i think it may be that play store didn't get the permissions that it needs?
I tried so many things but i just don't know how i can fix it. I don't want to do a factory reset or something like that.
Please help me. I just want my good old play store back.
Edit:
I can't even use YouTube. It doesn't allow me to use it without play store. This is much worse than I thought it would be.
My paid apps, substratum, everything i paid for is just broken now.
