Shutdown at 10% - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

My phone is suddenly shutting down at 10 % every time. I got SOT of 7 hours with a full charge. So, assuming no battery issue? What could be the problem? I tried reflashing rom, Calibrating battery, nothing worked. HALP

Try clean flashing miui once. maybe it can help

[Q] Is my battery life normal?

First, I apologize for my bad English.
I very doubt with my battery life. e.g. Today, I had been using my phone about 9hrs before battery dropped to 1% and after a few minutes it grew up to 2% and after a few minutes it dropped to 1% and grew up to 2% again
e.g.2. I turned off my phone when it has about 50% battery and after I turned on the phone, my battery directly dropped to 13% and after a few minutes it grew up to 25% WITHOUT charging.
I tried to wipe battery stats in CWM recovery mode, delete batterystats.bin, pull of the battery for 2-3 minutes, use battery calibration app, change the ROM or kernel or modem and it still no change
I am using Criskelo Rom v34, Speedmod k18 kernel and XXKL1 modem, edge on, sync off
Yup, seen that as well.
Just quit messing with all those battery related things, charge it to 100% a few times and use it up a few times without flashing roms kernels and wiping stats etc.
It should be normal after that. Give it a week or 5-10 cycles or so.
Thanks, I will try it and come back to review : )
i also had this problem once. i just kept using my phone as normal and the problem fixed itself

Battery fast drops issue.

Hi, i bought tattoo from another user... to encounter a problem with battery, when i charge it-it never goes 100%, but charges to for an example 33%... then it instantly drops to 16-17% until it reaches to 1% (fast dropes)...but it stays like that for one or two days (like it has been charged to 100%). I did a factory reset-it dind't work (offical rom, not rooted). I first tought it was a rom problem it self... then i rooted my phone and flashed cm7 (wiped all 3 times)... and the problem still presists. I dont know what to do... i tried to put my batt. to another tattoo, and it works fine...also tried another charger, doesnt help... i dont know what to do. Please help....
Thanks.

You could try wiping the battery stats in recovery.
Thanks for fast reply... but i already did that...
Try to recalibrate your battery using any app for that purpose from the play store
Sent from my LG-P350 using xda premium
i did a battery calibration, i did a wipe batt stats and even flash a different ROM, but just 2 days ago, my battery is drop like crazy. some are 10% drops, some are 20% drops, and it's not like just one time in a 100% charge, but 2 times or 3 times, like from 80-70, then 60-40, then 20-10. and the more arresting issue is that, the battery drop does not correspond with a slow decrease in any of the stages. battery still discharge as per normal usage albeit quicker (2-3% in an hour) compared to last time 5% in 2-3 hours. i've used MIUI and WIUI, and the problem started when i was on WIUI 2.4.20 and did all the what nots above, and i flashed to MIUI 2.4.6 after all that didn't help. and it still didn't help.
can anyone point me to a direction??

[Q] Severe battery trouble

Hi There:
Not sure if anyone is exprience this problem.
My battery completly drains a second after it says is at 40%.
I've installed several ROMS (Cianogenmod 10, toldo's, official) to see if it was a ROM problem. No luck. I'm current in toldos's v7
Installed several Kernels, No luck. Actually i'm with A1 kernel
Tried several battery calibration aplicacions apps. No luck.
Problem presists.
It`s not that the battery drains fast, is that everything goes oK till battery reaches a point below 40% and the next second it says it only has 2% or 1% and can stay there for some time (even two hours sometimes.
Anyone has any idea what could be happening, because i don't think is a battery problem.
Thanks evey one
fault battery
probably the battery is gonna die

[Q] Battery not charging to 100% after flashing ROM

Hi.
After flashing a new ROM I could only charge my battery to 64% overnight.
The battery discharged to 23% in about 3 hours.
I installed battery calibration, ran it. The battery then charged to 57%.
This number is now stable even if I reset the battery calibration in CMW.
I think that the problem is that the OS has the voltage settings wrong.
At 57% the battery calibration program says it reads 3825mV. The EVO 3D battery is rated at 3.8V.
So it should be in principle fully charged, right? So why does it read 57%?
(Google play information for the battery calibration program claims that 100% is 4.2V, can it be overcharged that much?)
Do I just need to wait for the phone to settle? Or do I need to somehow let it know that the battery is 3.8V?
Anyone know how to fix this?
Really? Nobody else had this problem?
I have no idea how to fix this.
After the battery is discarged, it charges back to the right voltage 3.8-3.9V but it will read a random % value.
The OS calibrated itself over the weekend to where it would think the battery discharged over 2 hours from full.
Using the battery calibration program while in the OS seems to do nothing.
But resetting the battery calibration in recovery (CWM), or flashing a ROM seems to reset the battery %.
However! It resets to read 64% at full, not 100%.
With a fresh reset like this, the battery lasted me about 7hours (with me playing music for maybe one hour of that.)
When charged overnight, the battery topped at 43% for some reason. (Battery voltage still read 3.9V).
I reset the calibration in recovery and it jumped back to 64%.
I tried two different ROMS. I tried reflashing my hboot. I tried several versions of CWM. Same results.
Any suggestions from anyone? Please?
Edit:
I tried switching the recovery from ClockworkMod to 4ext, but it seems that 4ext did not work on my phone.
I was not able to boot into the recovery menu.
Edit 2:
I tried two different batteries. And I put back the stock recovery. Still wrong % reading.
I don't really want to put the stock hbood back in. Won't that relock my phone?
i have a solution

hi mate, i have an ISW12HT from AU KDDI just like you are and have same problem lf i flash custom rom like smooth criminal or CM 10.1.
finally i got the solution, just go to /system/bin , and swap/copy htcbatt file with htcbatt from stock rom AU KDDI
don't forget to change the permission to -rwxr-xr-x, then voilaaaa.... battery indicator back to normal again.
i hope that can help your problem...
sorry for my english

Charging problem

My redmi note 4x suddenly does not load. Charge intermittently as if removing and putting the cable. This happened to me once a while ago and I solved it leaving it at 0% and then loading it but this time it does not work. Can someone help?
Battery fault maybe? Let it close by itself by draining out the battery and wait for 30 mins then let it charge to 100% without booting it. If still problem persists change battery or send it to your provider for fix
