Screen doesn't work after flashing - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

Hi,
managed to complete a successfull screen replacement of my P9000, wihtout requiring flashing the ROM. The screen just started to work as expected...
However, because factory reset was not working decided to flash latest ROM. After flashing screen doesn't work anymore...
I can see backlight, hear the phone boot and connect to it in Windows but can't do anything with the phone because the screen is not working.
Have I bricked my phone?
Thank you.

[Q] Black screen after update, please help

ok so i was running 4.0.3 with no problem until i decided to update to 4.1.2, so after updated finished with no errors i booted the device
the galaxy s2 logo appears the BLACK SCREEN
no boot animation
what i have tried
return to 4.0.3
wipe data
use custom recovery that matches the os version
us custom recovery to format all the partitions
flash using pit file
different version of odin
and thats pretty much all
now even when i return to 4.0.3 it stil wont boot, please help
If the phone won't boot & PC/phone don't recognise each other in Odin, you're pretty much boned. Possibly JTAG, if not service centre (or local mobile shop if no warranty).
it goes into download mode, and recovery, and it boots up, but after the SGS2 logo i get a black screen on any firmware, even gingerbread
and i can still flash using odin and cwm
If it were me, I'd keep trying Odin flashes (even trying random stock roms); often in these situations the first 6 flashes don't work but the 15th actually fixes the problem (I'm using these numbers as an example) for whatever reason.
That's the only way you're fixing it, unless the NAND is borked, which you won't be able to fix. Try Hopper8's 'Odin won't work' thread, there's stuff in there which might help.

Hey this is exactly what happened to my phone, I flased stock 4.1.2, it was working fine but somehow freezing randomly. So I installed latest cwm hoping to fix the freezing problem, the boot animation won't show up after the logo, though I can hear from the speaker sound of the boot animation, and the screen won't seem like turning on (touch buttons not lighting up). Any luck on fixing this problem?
it turns out its was the usb data cable connector, surprised. i dont even know what one has to do with the other, anyways, i had it replaced and it works perfectly

Well I re-flashed the stock android 4.1.2 using odin, and everything got back to normal, the screen is working again. Though the phone is still freezing randomly, even after a couple of minutes after booting the phone. However I'm glad to get my phone with the screen working again!

Elephone p9000 brick - Screen lights up after flashing stock ROM but no boot

I tried flashing the stock rom onto my Elephone P9000 with sp tools. I followed all the steps correctly as I have done in the past. Sp flash tools downloads the rom and says it is a success but yet when attempting to boot the phone, the screen turns on and remains blank. No logo or recovery. Recently I tried flashing TWRP onto the device and that also did not work, when attempting to open recovery mode, the device just rebooted a couple of times, so I left it and forgot about it. I have managed to successfully flash the stock rom in the past but since I sent off my phone to have it's screen replaced, flashing no longer seems to work. I have tried flashing with battery in and out. And i've unplugged cables and replugged them inside the phone, checking for loose connections. If it also makes a difference, since the screen repair, the wireless charging does not seem to work.
If anyone can offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
edit: potentially relevant info, flash tool memory test states nand flash is not detected, found a relevant thread but the answer provided did not work for me: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1866962

Question Stuck on red dot/TWRP screen

Hi,
I tried rooting my Nord 2, but managed to screw it up somewhere. I followed the usual stepw to do this, but the first time I was unable to use my wifi/bluetooth/gps. My phone was/is at the A1 EU. Version. I tried fixing the problem, but made things worse. Now I am stuck in the red dot boot logo and after a while I get to the TWRP screen. From there I can still fastboot. I tried restoring my phone from there, but without any luck. Can someone help me fix my phone ? At this point I don't even care that much anymore about rooting my phone, i just want to be able to use it again.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I had the same issue, but without switch to TWRP screen, just stays on red dot boot logo and that was all. The solution for me was format of the storage with stock recovery. In your case you may follow the instructions below:
1. Boot in bootloader (volume down + power on)2. Flash the stock recovery3. Reboot to recovery4. Select English, after that Wipe and Format storage (the phone will reboot automatically after success)
Best regards and good luck!

Question Phone is turning off by itself after the MIUI 13 update

Hey guys, I've got a very weird problem with my phone which started just after I updated to MIUI 13.. It turns off by itself randomly.
It does it while browsing, texting, etc.. and even when locked. No matter if its charging or on battery. The only situation it doesn't turn off is when playing games, benchmarking or any other heavy task which is very weird as I thought the battery might be on its way out but it doesn't make sense if it works fine with heavy tasks...
The device is 3 months old but recently I replaced the display and the warranty is void now obviously, so I can't use that..
What I tried so far:
- Factory resetting, nothing changed
- Tried with the OEM safe mode, nothing changed
- I downloaded the same update again and flashed it throught the OEM recovery, nothing changed
- I'll try to make a clean install of the ROM when im able to unlock the bootloader which is of course after 7 days
Could it be a hardware issue and.. what it might be? The phone is working absolutely fine besides that random shut off - perfomance is the same, battery life is the same, no freezes ..nothing.
The other issue im experiencing and I've read alot about this is that my touch screen sometimes (rarely) is unresponsive. It just freezes, the phone is alright but I can't press on anything..
If it is software issue, how can I resolve it? Should I clean install the 13.0.4 rom or older?
edit.. i don't think it is actually shutting of but rather the display going black and unresponsive to any buttons as to restart it I must hold the power button more than 10 seconds
And also, I'm new to the forum, sorry if i posted this in the wrong section and excuse my bad english, I'm not a native speaker. Thank you
it's a firmware bug....do clean flash and pray it disappear..do fastboot clean flash

Thank you, I'll try when the bootloader is unlocked.. Meanwhile, I'm really worried about this being a result of the screen replacement? Could that be the issue? The screen works absolutely fine, keeps 90hz refresh rate, no glitches or artifacts.. Should I bring the phone back to the shop where I changed the display?
I confirmed that this is indeed a software bug. After factory reset, I kept the mobile data and wifi off so it can't update the apps and for 2 hours there were no signs of the problem UNTIL i turned the WiFi back on, the setup finished, updated the apps and my phone crashed in 10 mins. No idea which app causes this or why, but atleast its not hardware related. I'll try to reflash the 13.0.4 through OTA again and see if the problem persists.. If so, i wont have phone for the next 7 days because of the bootloader lock.. Thanks Xiaomi

flash with fastboot.. i think it's possible even locked..
Factory default and not restore apk, the problem could be any apk that did not work on miui 13.
Its not possible to flash with fastboot on locked bootloader. I tried several times it just refuses anything. I also couldn't manage to manually sideload OTA rom in recovery and I wouldn't risk it through the updater app because of the crashes..
I left my phone overnight with data turned off and it never crashed again.. I hope this get fixed after the clean flash because I really like MIUI13 and don't want to roll back
Same here. No any response from MIUI yet.

MIUI 13 Lockscreen Crash!
Hello guys, after I got my bootloader unlocked, i tried flashing several ROMs both china and EEA with MiFlash (clean all option) and it still crashes the phone randomly... I don't know what to do anymore. The only time phone can sit turned on without crashing is in fastboot and when booted but plugged in to computer (idk what is this about).. What should I do? I'll try to downgrade to 12.5 EEA stable with Mi Flash but is this clean install or should I do it with twrp?

Fastboot only
Im stuck in bootloop after downgrading to MIUI 12.5 EEA (the version i was on previously before miui13) via fastboot. The phone restarts after the boot logo and no matter which ROM i reflash it doesn't go beyond that.. Any advice? Tried factory resetting after flash but no result
Guys, no matter what I do, i cant bring the phone to life again. It reaches the MI logo, stays there for 10 seconds and screen goes black. I tried flashing EEA, Global, China, many versions all through fastboot. They flash with success, no errors at all but when rebooted it is stuck at the boot logo... Please help! I can still boot to stock recovery/twrp and fastboot. What can I do???
MiFlash log
I just tried the services of the telegram guy who does EDL flash over teamviewer. The flash finished with success but the same problem still persist and not only that, now It goes straight to fastboot without a chance to even boot in recovery...

Thats what I did, it never turned on until yesterday. A miracle happened and the phone booted but after 5 mins it crashed again... Wtf might be the problem with it. The only time it doesn't turn off is when its plugged to a computer with switched on debugging. I can't wrap my mind around it, are there any crash logs that I can read? Logcat doesn't show anything in help
please help me. after miui 13 ota update my phone is restarting every 10 seconds.
when it is in homescreen everything is here, but the message from android says update is finishing and automatically it restarts.it is stock rom,no bootloader open,
All original
i have data, that i want to save, but i cant. is there a way ? Maybe from recovery or fastboot or anywhere? But first i need to transfer the data to the laptop
I have the same problem, after doing anything that can make the phone hot if I block it it restarts but if I don't block it it continues to work fine so if you find a solution I would like you to tell me
