I've got plenty of space on both internal and the SD yet I keep getting this error. Anyone else have this happen?

Something weird happened yesterday... I'm assuming I hit my phone while it was in my pocket (I work a labor driven job) and I'd imagine I did it very hard if this was a cause.
But I had the notice 'SD card unexpectedly disconnected please unmount before removing' or whatever the notice is... Well any and all apps I had on my SD card show up as present on it but are not recognized; they show up as follows "com.[file name].android" or whatever its root name is I'm assuming... these file names show up in task manager and titanium backup as being on my SD card yet in storage it says my entire SD cards space is free.
Please educate me; does this mean they are on my SD card still or not?
Whats just as weird is that I started re-downloading some of the apps that (were or are) stored on my SD card and it says "This app will replace an existing application on the devise. Do you want to continue?"
Any ideas on what happened?
Here's the side question done what related: I had been experiencing lag if I went awhile with out clearing cache and/or killing apps/ clearing memory that were running in the background that had been stored on the SD card... Could these running in the background which I'm using requires constant communication with the SD card be the cause of the lag? In other words is it better to keep all apps on internal space if I want a snappier/ fluid experience?

Take your SD out of the phone and stick it in your computer. If it shows up and everything is still on it then you know it's not the SD, but the phone. If it's not showing up on your computer, well.. then it's the SD card that's busted.
Cross your fingers that it's not the phone.

These are the two screenshot of my phone storage and internal SD card space, I have enough on both of them but somehow its not enough every once in a while my email and other services stops randomly saying storage space running out! I had to uninstall a game which was 55mb in size but still it shows the same error and automatically goes away saying storage space is enough now.. when I didn't do anything. I am not even able to update my apps because of that. What's the matter with this?
Hi guys... is anyone else getting messages about 'Low Internal Storage' on their device? I have 7GB free, but every time I install an app I get a message like this? Any ideas what may be causing it, because I obviously aren't low on storage?!

Well not sure, but isn't there special partition where you install the apps? Meaning if you actually install too many you get this message?
Trying something like APP to SD might fix your problems. I guess you have "few" apps installed right?
Do you have es file explorer installed? I think that is what's causing it on my device. I'm getting it too and it's always wrong

I do and I get these warnings, I havent tried to get it to go under what it says is left though. We should be able to fill our phone with 10GB of games/apps (24GB if you got the 32GB variant), right?
Mmmm...
Thanks for the response guys. I'm glad I'm not on my own. I haven't really got that much installed, and even though I keep getting the message, apps and games keep installing without any issue. As regards ES File Explorer, I do have that installed, but it's set not to show low memory warnings. Perhaps it's just one of those things - it's not causing any problems... yet!
Got a space issue on my Evo 4g LTE even though I don't have many things installed.
When I pull up my storage, I first notice that it's divided into two sections, 6 gigs for "App Storage" and 10 gigs "Phone Storage." That alone seems odd since I'm not quite sure why I don't get the whole thing for Apps (as I've already got an external SD for my other stuff).
Anyway, I don't have a lot of big apps. Under the "App storage" it says the following:
5.63GB/6.07GB
Apps 1.47GB
Other 4.16GB
Available 452MB
What the hell is in "other?" I thought it might be app data but that seems to be included with the apps so it doesn't matter if I clear it. I'm also not sure why I have 452MB available but I still can't install any new apps as I always get the "insufficent storage space" message. I don't get why I have 452MB free but can't install a 7MB app.
Help?
Hello, guys. I'm having a problem with adaptable storage when downloading Spotify music. Basically, when I try to manually move apps from my internal memory to my external, I get a toast message that says "not enough space". What I did was to enable something on Developer Settings called "Force allow apps on external". I then reinstalled the app I wanted on my external memory (Spotify) and it worked. But when I download music, all the music goes to my internal memory for some reason, even though the app itself is in the external memory.
Any advice here?
I solved it. Delete/Lock if you want.

By rooting the device only will solve the storage problems.we can mount SD card as internal memory.now I have no problem with storage on my xt 1022.
