[Q] Unlocking Question

Currently my wife's phone is unlocked. I am a noob and I am just getting into the flash/root android community so I upgraded her stock phone to JI6 on Eclair. As a result, her unlocking codes are not easily accessible anymore but the phone is unlocked. I'm wondering if I need to risk going through the steps in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822008&page=11 (under Helroz) to find the unlock codes for the phone or I can just continue flash in Roms and kernels on her phone.
I guess the real question is: how important is it to have the unlocking codes if your phone is already unlocked and under what circumstances would the phone relock itself?
Thank you in advance for all replies.
Unlocked as in.... you can change out the sd card? Otherwise, if you have already flashed a differnet ROM, kernel, or modem or whatever, I don't think it would be different if you did it again.
But I would assume once you're unlocked...well you're unlocked, right?
Lol I am unlocked...I'm using the t mobile phone on the wind network I
n toronto so I can say with certainty that I'm unlocked. The reason why I'm asking is because we have two viberants (one that I have the unlock code and one that I don't ). being the noob that I am, I retired to manualy root my phone (the one I have the unlock code) using the update.zip file found in the sticky noob guideline.that one somehow re-locked my phone but I had the unlock codes so out was no problem. That's why I'm paranoid now about the phone relocking itself and I won't have the unlock codes.
Your right about it not asking for the unlock codes after rom and kernel updates.I'm hoping the situation where I re-locked the phone is a special, rare, and unique case. I'm going for some confirmation on this.

[Q] Is there another alternative to unlock bootloader?

Given up on unlock app doesn't work at all, I have serial cant get ota or unlock bootloader any alternatives coming out
at this point: No.
Its not that we dont want it, its just that the bootloader is both locked down and encrypted, its VERY hard to gain access.
There is some rumors going around that ASUS may unlock full NV flash, if they do that then PERHAPS we might have alternate methods of unlocking, but for now your stuck with what Asus gives you. sorry mate.
Yea saw that post, hope ppl figure it out , love the Modding community been havin a blast with Samsung sgs2 was hoping to be the same for the prime. Been trying to explain about the bootloader problem to rma ppl but they always don't get it.

[Q] Re-Rooting HTC One S

So, I was recently considering re-rooting my phone again, as I tried to re-lock the carrier and un-root the phone so I was able to update to Jellybean. Unfortunately, that didn't work, so I am stuck with the re-locked bootloader.
My phone is the HTC One S (Android 4.0.4, Sense 4.1).
Is there any way to re-unlock the bootloader without wiping my phone again? Or is there a simple way I can do this from my phone? I understand how to root my phone, but I don't know if my bootloader is a problem or not, or what I have to do about it.
Thanks

Upgrading Phone. Need to restore to stock.

I'm finally taking the plunge and upgrading my note 2. I'm currently on Wilson's cm12.1. I'm looking for a guide or recommendations to restore my phone to 100%stock. I know there's already some guides out there but none seem to be updated or explain how to downgrade from where I am at now with cm12.1. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Odin back to VRAMC3 firmware which will re-lock the bootloader. You may want to re-unlock since it is getting rare these days and people might want it unlocked. Probably don't want to take an OTA of any kind regardless.. bootloader will get locked permanently.
Remember DO NOT TAKE AN OTA EVER!

H850 Nougat, you can relock the bootloader, can't you?

Hi all,
I am hoping that you can confirm a few things that I have read here and there. I have just ordered a H850, from what I have read, when it has been upgraded to Nougat, the bootloader can be unlocked and for warranty purposes most importantly it can be flashed back to stock and the bootloader locked again. If not I will have to go without root to maintain the warranty.
From my experience, I have unlocked the bootloader, rooted my mobile, I installed several roms, because I had a problem with the screen, when playing videos.
When you can not fix it, reinstall a stock rom, block the bootloader with adb, and call the technical service.
I changed the terminal for a new one.
Because the problem was the screen was wrong.
I already tell you that it is my case, everything will depend on the technical service that manages it, and the type of fault.
P.D. Try the cell phone before unlocking it.
