Hicare app missing Norway as region under Europe, in Emui 8. - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

This is a minor problem, but it's kinda annoying when my account was registered correctly under Emui 5.1.
Can someone please confirm, I just hope my account isn't f-d up or something is wrong with my firmware.
I've been in contact with the support, but only get tips about reinstalling (wich can't be done from Play) and clearing data, wich obviously doesn't work as this list is probably fetched from a server.

I don't have Norway either

[Q] Unable to sign in to Google/Market

Greetings to all!
I apologize in advance if I am posting to the wrong place, but
searching did not help. Also, an android noob, so please be gentle
I am the happy owner of a SGS2 since Monday. No problems so far, except
the fact that I am unable to sign in/sync etc. with Google in order to use the
Market. I am using my gmail account (valid and in daily use for years). There
are no connectivity problems (wifi and 3G work OK, I have full access to
gmail and other internet sites). At the same moment that I am logged in to gmail
(through the browser), the market app (or the sync function) report that they
cannot communicate with the google servers!
Any thoughts/suggestions? Am I doing something wrong (or missing something)?
Thanks!!!
PS. Not rooted (yet), running on
Android v. 2.3.3
Baseband I9100XXKE7
Kernel 2.6.35.7.-I900XWKF3-CL276555 root DELL101 #2
Build: Gingerbread.XWKF3
if that helps......
Symptoms look similar to what I had -- couldn't setup a gmail/market account with "connection issue" errors. I had tried wifi & over 3g with no avail, till I found the following setting:
Try enabling the following setting:
Settings >> Accounts and sync >> Background data (ensure this is ticked).
Not saying it will solve your problem, but it did work for me.
Let me know how you get on.
Hmmmm disabling the background data was the first thing I did (I have no intention
of paying the outrageous rates of the greek carriers - I will be using the phone only
through wifi for internet). Perhaps this may solve the problem, I will update as soon as
I try it. Thanks!
Bingo! Enabled Background data and signed in with my gmail account in seconds!
Thank you very much!

[Q] Google marked blocked !

A very stupid problem happened to me and caused no access to Android market (Google play) and to all my purchased applications. I will explain, maybe there is someone who has an idea how to solve this.
I bought my Moto ATRIX 4G one year ago in US and registered it to google (gmail, market, google+) using my AT&T mobile number I got with the phone. As I am only from time to time in the US, I unlocked the branding to AT&T, got root access and unblocked the bootloader. Here at home I use the ATRIX with my Portuguese sim card.
In the meantime google changed the access to market, gmail etc. by adding this additional security with a code (called two step something) sent by text message. So you need username, password and every 30 days (?) this code from google.Unluckily this code is sent to my AT&T (US) number only. That time I forgot to register a second number to get the code. My AT&T sim card has no rooming (it is a prepaid one) so I can not use it here at home to get the code.
Last week I flashed my ATRIX to cyanogen(mod) ROM. After flashing your ROM you have to install again (or restore from a back-up) your applications. Anyway for the purchased applications (and I have about 30 ones !) you need to have full access to the market to prove (load) your licence key even you restored them from a back-up.
Here I am stuck now. My access to the marked is blocked due to the missing code sent by google. I tried everything to get access:
- About 10 emails to google. They are always responded by an automatic feedback.
- There is some kind of form you can fill to prove that you are the owner of the account. Not worked.
- Tried to register my Portuguese phone number to get the code on this number. No option to register a second number now.
- I tried the Google Authenticator. The created code is not working for me.
All feedbacks from google refused to activate my account.
Of course I can wait an other two month still I am back in the US and can get the code, but this isn't really satisfying. Not to be missunderstood: My username and my password are OK and accepted. Only this code is missing.
In my opinion this is a very bad situation. I have purchased all these applications from the market and now I am blocked to use / download / re-install them by google.
Do anybody had a similar experience ? Is there any contact (telephone, email, ...) with google, where I will not get an automated feedback. Your help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] Questions related to ANDROID_ID and problems with syncing Google account

I was performing a firmware update on my Asus Transformer Pad Infinty last week. Something went wrong, so I perfomed a factory reset.
After rooting again and making sure i was back to the latest firmware I used Titanium backup to restore most of my apps and data.
I went further by copying back most of my media files, etc (this took me half a day or so).
Titanium backup was complaining about a changed ANDROID_ID. Because I did not no what it was at the time and I was not able to restore due to an unpaid version, I chose to ignore the message.
Now I have the following problems:
- I don't receveive new Gmail by push notifications
- New Google calendar items are not pushed to my device.
- If I choose to send a new app from the Google Play website (from PC) to the device it will never arrive.
I don't have this problem with my android phone. I also do not have any problem when performing this actions manually (by refreshing..) and my push setting on my tablet are Ok.
If I look at my registered devices on the Google Play website (My Orders & Settings -> Settings) I see that the 'Last used' and 'Registered on' dates are the same and equal to the date i performed the factory reset. Google Play does not see my device as active anymore, somehow, while i'm still possible to add apps from the Google play app manually.
I figured this could have something to do with the changed ANDROID_ID. But now Titanium backup is not aware anymore of my original Id.
So in an attempt to get to know the id my device is registerd to on Google Play I was searching in the source of the Google Play Website and noticed the following:
'gd7XXXXXXXXX':{'name' : 'Asus ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T','icon' :
'https:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/9_o5_8emBAl4Tuzngu1vny_QuzJiCv4EE2hkr-i9xi3fTlvHzJM0M_Ej2qj-m7E2R_E\x3dw50', 'thumbnail' : 'https:\/\/lh5.ggpht.com\/9_o5_8emBAl4Tuzngu1vny_QuzJiCv4EE2hkr-i9xi3fTlvHzJM0M_Ej2qj-m7E2R_E\x3dw75'}}, selectedDeviceId: 'gd7XXXXXXXXX,

The 'gd7..' id resembles an ANDROID_ID so I entered this in the app 'Change Android Id' and restared my device. Now my device is using this Id.
But my problems are not resolved!
I don't know what I could do anymore besides another factory reset.
-----------------
Are my problems due to a changed ANDROID_ID?
How can I retrieve the correct ANDROID_ID, that belongs to the registered device that is mentioned on the Google Play website?
Or is there a way to register the device again with the current ANDROID_ID, without having to perform another factory reset?
I found out that the id from the source was NOT the ANDROID_ID, when i compared the entry of my phone to the id of my phone.
I also found out that there is another id that has a role in this: Google Service Framework ID Key.
I tried to clear the cache of the Google Services Framework and restart. This gave me a new GSF ID Key and the entry of my device on the Google Play website seemed to be reset (have a new 'Registered' on date).
However, I still don't get push services from Google!! :crying:
UPDATE:
My problem seems to be resolved already. Push services are working again like a charm.
I am not sure what exactly did the trick...
I disabled the Gmail app in Settings-Apps and enabled it again in the market.
Then I was busy with som push settings in IM+ and suddenly received e-mail again.
The other problems where also resolved... somehow.

Gmail Account Hijacked - including Google Play Store

Last week I noticed a device under my Google Play account (My Devices) that is not mine, a phone on a Romanian cell phone company network. I also noticed that someone from Russia had accessed my Gmail account. I changed my Gmail password (the old one was alpha-numerica,random, with symbols) and turned on two step authentication.
The Gmail account seems to be ok. The contacts all there and no messages removed or messages sent by people other than me.
The only sign of the intrusion is about a dozen "free" apps ordered by that device. It included sketchy gambling apps, a child's game that from comments I read has adult advertisements, and ringtones. After I changed the password there are new "free" media on the account - books and various video. These appear to be from a different user - all in English as opposed to Russian and nothing sketchy.
My guess on how this started - I downloaded an app with about 100 reviews. The next day the "free" apps started to appear, and the unauthorized device also was added the next day.
My SGS 3 isn't rooted. For Jellybean it seems that I have to wait for a stable root, should be another few days.
I contacted the Play Store support and they were of no help. They referred me to Gmail support but Gmail doesn't offer phone support. I think only support on a Google Group forum.
Any idea how this could have happened and how to get this device off of my account? My PC's are secure and my primary PC is Linux.

I have the IMEI # of the phone added to my account, also the model number (registered in Russian Federation). Could the IMEI be useful? I can PM if interested.
Imeis are quite useful to many people...Just don't pursue this on xda.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
My account too was almost hacked.
I signed into youtube and a notice was shown that someone from ip in china tried to log into my google account and it denied them and i changed my password. No weird apps nothing.
The thing is probably the app you downloaded.
Just because it has 100 downloads doesn't mean its malware but you need to check permissions always.
Even big games like "Paper Toss" has been know to sell peoples info to companies.
When you read permissions. There should be a list of all the options the app requests.
Be Smart. If you download a calculator, It shouldn't have access to your personal identy, messages and the big key is internet access.
If you download a calender it may need access to contacts but it it also needs internet access, its probably is storing your contacts and sending them out to a site that then sells to a company and lastly, your grandparents receive phone calls asking if they want to buy a service and use your name as who referred them.
Also. rooting is a good option. With an app on here called pdroid or droidwall you can download those apps but it will alert yyou when the app wants to use a permission (like internet) and gives you the option to allow or deny.
good luck
I have one update. I think that after I changed my password and went to two step verification, the purchases of "free" apps and media stopped. It's been four days and nothing new added. So far so good. Thanks for the replies. BTW, Google of no help.
I'd still like to know how the Gmail account was compromised - I may never know.
similar thing just happened to me (Galaxy Note) appeared on my account from no where. When I contacted google if they can help or if they are interested in tracking him down, all they said was we cant help you. And change the pw. Obviously I know that I need to change the pw. I know Apple would have tracked it down somehow if it was an iphone. My pw has 22 characters number letter symbols yet it was hacked.
Since google is not helping me I installed Android Lost app on this NOTE and waiting to get a location update via email. I know it wont do anything much and I cant do anything against him or her since no paid apps were downloaded. Still I would like to do something to crooks like this. He only had 6 apps installed (facebook, viber candy rush) and terminal emulator (which worried me).
I really hope that Android close their unlimited backdoors in the OS.

[Q] Help! Canadian trying to sign up for Google Music in the US.

Hi,
I'm a Canadian in the US for the next few days and would like to sign up for the Google Play Music service. However, despite logging into my account from a US IP address, I still get the error message that this service is not yet avaiable in my country or territory.
A lot of sites state it's easy to sign up once you log in from a US IP using a vpn or proxy in Canada, but I'm in the US and still having trouble.
Could someone help me sort this out? These same sites also claim that once you've signed up, you can access the service in Canada.
What is Google looking at to identify I have a Canadian account? I've changed my G+ profile info to a US address (the one I'm staying at), changed my credit card info to this same US address in Google Wallet, and the only thing I can think of that still ties me to Canada is my phone number.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance!
You could try a few things
I'd say use a VPN to signup with a US Google email address, download a google music apk somewhere other than playstore, if it doesn't have it available in Canada then sign in with that info, though accessing may be country restricted too so even playing it may be a hassle. I suggest using a program called tunnelbear. buy a subscription for a year of service, it offers VPN for Canada, US, UK, and many others. I use it to stream BBC content through the BBC iPlayer application on my android phone.
https://www.tunnelbear.com/
Hope this helps
Hey tswillette, thanks for the tip. If I can't sort this out while I'm here, I'll try your approach when I get back home.
