If you haven't got a nandroid backup or even a normal backup, then there's no other way to retrieve your lost files! And I guess there was a ton of warns about backing up your system before modifying it. (Next time don't do it)
As for an alternative solution, can't you get those images back from other chatters' devices?

Click to collapse
But there are too many photos...
I make a hard reset, but if I go back to JellyBean and use the Mass Storage with a Pc tool like Recuva or another can be useful? or its imposible?
Atleast some pics should be recoverable this way.
But the more you do resets and data writing, lesser would be the chances of recovery
Hi
I had confidential data in a local application called Memo. The phone went into factory reset - dont know how and I lost this data. I did not use this application after the phone restarted ,thinking it would overwrite any past data. This is with assumption that applications write in designated memory or the data base corresponding to the previous use of the application exists. The phone is galaxy S6.
Would any one help address how to recover this data ?
Hi,
I accidentally deleted my whatsapp database folder from my lenovo Vibe p1 and now wants to recover it through my PC. Tried different softwares but failed though the deletion happened just one week ago. Strange !! So, I thought to retrieve it from my phone by doing the scan using the recovery software from my PC. But the device is connected as , I don't know what to call, but no data recovery software is showing Lenovo as a separate drive so as to scan. I need the data back very badly and I have enabled usb debugging. Also, adb softwares are installed in PC. I use MM 6.0.1
Is there a way to scan the internal memory of my phone and recover the lost data ? Also, when I search, what extension should I mention ?
Expecting someone out there to help me... now I realize the meaning and value of having a cloud back-up.
I made a back up of my smasung phone using smartswitch, the samsung phone stopped working recently and i have got a new android phone which isnt samsung and i cannot seem to connect to smartswitch to restore the backup to the new phone. I have seen software that claim to do it, but they are not free and look like malware. is there a reputable software that i can use to restore the backup i made?
I am comfortable with rooting the phone and stuff, was thinking of changing the build.prop to a samsung phone but not sure if that will work to connect to smartswitch app.
the most important thing is the wifi settings, the file is saved as the .ebk format and searching online shows its a ebook format, which doesnt make sense.
any help will be appreciated
thanks.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+ phone. It was dropped and the screen is smashed and unreadable. The phone is still operational. If I connect it to my Windows 10 PC, all folders are visible on the PC.
First I wanted to take a backup using SmartSwitch. However, when I start SmartSwitch it tries to update the software on the phone, that would require tapping the screen of the phone, that is not possible. How can I ask SmartSwitch not to update the software on the phone but take a backup instead?
The most important files are contacts and calendar. Can I copy them to my PC. The folders on the phone are accessible from my PC when I connect the phone.
