I have installed stock 9.2.1.0 and i have a problem with gps. If i set it to device only mode then it is impossible to go back to high accuracy. I can choose high accuracy but it is working like device only.
Anyone else with the same problem?
Had the same issue and fixed it with simply updating google maps

I flashed 4.4.4 via flashtool and my gps has not worked since. GPS status app is reporting 0 gps satellites in view
I have high accuracy mode enabled in Location settings. Any idea what's going wrong? How do I reset this thing back to working?

Try one of the fastgps tools that sets the time server for the gps
Solved!
So the solution was to wipe AGPS log, then use "AndroiTS GPS Test" app to get a GPS lock(For some reason a lot of gps apps fail to keep GPS on while in background in 4.4.4). I also had to charge the phone sufficiently leave it in an empty space for about 4hours for it to get a lock. Once it got a lock, it can reestablish gps fairly snappily.
Reseting, Redownloading AGPS without the 4hour lock did nothing.
I've noticed a strange issue with location services on my Edge. When I have the location mode set to "GPS, WiFi and mobile networks", with WiFi turned off, sometimes apps detect some (basically random) location, 10-20 kilometers away from where I really am. Once it even detected I was in Tokyo, and I live in Europe. This most often happens when the phone has been locked for about an hour or more. What's also strange is that, once that happens, after I close and reopen an app (say, a weather app, which uses location) a few times, it detects the correct location. And then if I lock the phone and unlock it after some time, the app will again show the wrong location.
I've also noticed this doesn't happen with the Google Maps app, it always detects the correct location. Maybe the issue is with that particular location mode (which is supposed to be "high accuracy", lol). But, on the other hand, I don't see a reason why that would be the case. Could it be something with cell towers reporting wrong location?
I've tried resetting the phone, and restoring my data from backup, but it didn't change this behavior.
Has anyone had a similar experience? What might be causing this and how to fix it?
EDIT: A quick side question: is there a way to revoke the permission you have to give to Google to use that "high accuracy" mode?
Thanks in advance for any assistance or advice.
P.S.: I'm using stock firmware (5.1.1) with no root.
GPS is acting very very weird on cm13 nightly, first it doesent see where i am then displays my location 500m from the actual location, i saw a fix but not for i9100, anyone have a fix?
If you can go back to Google Play Services 9.0.83 or earlier you should get your gps back. I assume you're using High Accuracy or Device and not Battery saver location mode. As using Battery saver you might just be getting the cell phone tower location, which is why you are getting a 500m location fix. The same is true in High Accuracy mode if gps is not picking up satellites.
Try Gps Test from the play store to see if your phone is picking up satellites
I've encountered another problem now, when i am trying to install cm13, it thinks that my device name is . and gives me error 7
(it happens with other apps too, so it's not Runkeeper itself)
I use Runkeeper to trace my walking. But seems that when the screen is off, it can't get the GPS signal so the measuring (distance, speed) is not working
It's probably something to do with the settings, but couldn't find where.
any advice?
thanks

I get the same problem with MM Tracker if I use a MIUI 8 based rom. I'm currently using the 'Angels and Demons' rom based on MIUI 7 and don't have any problems recording position, speed etc.
HTH.
I suggest to review the power profile... had the same issue. most probably GPS go sleep while screen is off.
Is MIUI battery saver enabled? Try modifying the setting for your app by going to Security > Battery > App battery saver and changing it to off.
I had to do that for Waze so I could still use voice navigation while the screen was off, now it works fine.
I visited agra(340km away from my home)10days before and now i am back at my home , whenever my gps is on it shows correct location but whenever i switch location mode to high accuracy mode or battery saving mode it changes location back to agra(the exact place i visited 10days before).only in gps mode it works perfectly. Please help me it is very annoying and there is abnormal behaviour of many apps due to this issue.
Thanks
