problem with music player - Redmi Note 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have xiaomi redmi note 2 & a problem
I have installed a music player (as a matter of fact, two) and sometimes it have strange behaviour:
Sometimes, while listening, when activating another app (say, waze), the player “flyes out” from the memory and no music anymore. When I re-activate it, it doesn’t remember where in the song it was and starts from the beginning.
Sometimes (say, after pause/ play) the player “jumps” back in the music 10 minutes or so.
With the xiaomi default player I didn’t notice such problems.
I couldn’t identify when or under what conditions it happens.
Ideas? Suggestions?
thanks

Music Player + GB = FAIL!!

Ok, so ever since i upgraded to GB a few weeks back ive been having some issues with my music player.
Before i could listen to music on long road trips for hours with no problems, even after screen lock. Now it seems that only after a few mins, the music player just shuts off!! Its also not even a set time, just whenever it likes, could be 2 mins, or 10 mins, but its very short.
Also it has no affect on if i just switched songs or not, even if the screen is on and not locked, it shuts off.
What is causing this?
i have had this. not consistently though. sometimes i have no problems.

It never happened to me using 'cubed music player'
do not have things like "gallery," "wallpaper picker," or any system items in the "auto-end" list, or for whatever reason (interconnectedness of things), your music will stop. I had this problem, and when I removed items from the auto-end, it worked fine.
I agree the music player is bad, but for reasons including that there is no "all songs" option for each artist (ie you have to name every album on Itunes or it goes in a common folder with tons of other artists, and have to do it in properties of the file, make genre, etc. all the exact same).
Dump stock music player and get DoubleTwist and TCM Music Tag Editor, AMAZING you'll never want to go back
Hope this helps

Try clearing the data and cache in the music player .

Re-add songs to the library. That will fill the list again and you can skip to the next song.
No clue if the list will survive a re-boot...
The music player also has a bug where if a play list has finished playing and you leave the phone for a while, when you select another song to play it'll start playing a completely different song (one that was played earlier)
It doesn't happen all the time though. Probably about 4 times a day out of 5 hours of music.

[Q] Music players and other background apps close itself

Hello everyone.
My question is about apps that kill itself.
I was using Rocket Music Player (cracked) and suddenly it started to close it self. Not crash, just music stopped playing. Decided to buy PowerAMP and problem remains. Today I've discovered that ont only music players do that, but even bulit-in FM Radio player and some other apps. That issue appeared recently (after ~8 months of using).
Phone has 1 GB RAM (full spec: search for GOCLEVER INSIGNIA 5 GOCLEVER.COM UK - can't post link as new registred ).
Apps close even when screen is off.
And finally - I DON'T have any taskkillers. Yes, I'm sure. Here's where problem begins.
Any ideas? Anything? What should I do more to diagnose? It's really irritating.
Thanks in advance
We ever get any answer to this? I've experienced this with Dood's Music Player, MX Radio (port), almost all the podcast apps I've tried, etc.

Miui music controls restarts audiobooks

Hi !
I joust bought my redmi note 2, i'm happy with it, however i have this weird problem.
I downloaded an app to hear audiobooks (material audiobook player), when closing the app and starting it again the position is remembered, however when you tap play the audiobook starts from the begging.
It seems that the miui music control is somehow restarting the book from the begining.
I tried with other many apps for audiobooks such as smart audiobook player or mort player audiobooks with the same exact problem.
It works with other apps such as poweramp, i suspect because of its capability to handle directly music files (open with).
Even when removing the music bar by renaming the miui statusbar_music.saml the problem remains.
I don't know how to trace the problem since im new to the miui ecosystem, and to android rom development in general.

Every music player keeps crashing

Dear folks,
I've been having a huge problem. I bought me an Alcatel Pop 4 (5051D) with Android 6.0.1 running. Since day 1 when I tried to use the stock music player, it always kept crashing. So I downloaded another music player, the Pi Music Player. And that app also kept crashing. It crashes when I start a song and leave the app. It doesn't crash when I open the app or just lock my phone and connect it with a bluetooth music player or the bluetooth function in my car. It crashes when I go to the homescreen or use another app.
But it's not just the stock Alcatel music player or Pi Music player, any music player I've tried until today keeps crashing whenever I go to the homescreen or use another app (doesn't matter which one).
Therefore, I'm asking you guys if you could tell me why this problem occurs anytime and if there's a reliable music player that doesn't crash. I've also tried the default music player from old Android versions, and it also crashed. So basically any music player I've tried has crashed.
The problem is that you bought Alcatel. Sell it.
