I think i mess something up in build.prop, only 4G data speed working,if switch to 3G data not working, any help will be useful
You should've made a build.prop backup before messing with it. Retrace your steps and undo what you changed

Want stock build prop ?

Recently I had issues were my APNs were cleared out after flashing a ROM. So I thought I would re flash a stock sbf and backup my APN list with APN Manager and share them. This came from a US AT&T Atrix running the latest OTA sbf.
NOTE: I take no responsibility for any damage this may cause. This is a fresh backup from a fresh flash of this sbf http://goo.gl/hfkXH so everything should work fine.
Instructions:
Install APN Manager from the market
http://goo.gl/v8JWn
Unzip the attachment to your INTERNAL SD Card keeping it in a folder named "APNManager" ie: "internal sd card root/APNManager/ApnBackup.xml"
Use APN Manager to restore APN list

trying now looks promising just tried it, worked like a charm thx for concluding my 2 hour search for MMS restoration
This really should be stickied, as I just spent the last hour trying to find a list of default APN's. Thanks.

This saved my butt.
AT&T HSPA+
It is automatic, easy, and reliable. Thank you for making my problem disappear!
Edit: perhaps missing AT&T HSPA+:
Found this @ http://forum.androidcentral.com/970730-post1.html
"FIX:
Under you Access Point Settings create a new APN.
Menu Key, New APN.
Name : AT&T HSPA+
Important step: tap APN and enter exactly : phone
That's it! It's literally just "phone", not kidding. Leave everything else blank including Username and Password!
Scroll down to APN Type, Select Internet only
Hit the Menu Key, and hit SAVE
Your will return to APN settings, go to the APN you just created called AT&T HSPA+, tap the dot next to the APN and make sure it turns green! "
thank you! this is exactly what i want.. i had to go back and wipe my phone and it erased my apn. you guys rock!!
Thanks! Works great! (ATT)
Saved me. THANKS!!!

I bought App Manager Pro, but every time I attempt to do anything with it, it shuts down. I need to know of another app that will do the same thing, or find how the rest of these guys get it to work.

I clicked "Reset to Default" on the Apn menu and then they all disappered and i cannot connect. There used to be like 5 different apns. Is there a way to retrieve them back, i am no longer able to connect to the data.
Hi, are you using Market Enabler or other app that change operator code? Try disabling it, restart the phone and then try to reset.

If you can get wifi, go to the market and download apn backup and restore. It comes with a whole bunch of apn's and should be able to restore the ones you're missing. If you have an sd card, you have to copy the apnbackuprestore folder to the internal phone memory, or else it wont see the backup..

Strange, when i installed apn back up and restore it came with an .xml file that had 900+ apns.. I can try to post it, but just take a look in your apnbackuprestore folder, if you have an sd card, copy that folder to the internal phone memory..
Unzip the file first, then place in your apnbackuprestore folder.
you would have your apn's back by now if you have typed them in. how lazy can you be? Also, most pseudo roms and scripts install them.

No need to flame this post... Apns can be kind of tricky, especially if you make one little error.. Then nothing works. I don't blame him for wanting a simpler way of restoring the apn, after typing in the information by hand 20+ times, I found a much easier way of doing it.
Ok i got connect again, thanks to you guys. I am currently connected "AT&T US HSDPA", is it any different then just the "AT&T" apn? Also I used to get a H+ logo, but now i only get H (I am on gingerblur), it because of the settings or just do not have 4g right now?

I think its just because of Gingerblur. I used to have the H+ on my stock rom as well..

Ok thanks for the reassurance. So what apn is better "AT&T"-wap.cingular or "AT&T US HSDPA"-phone

Works!! Thanks!!
Hi,
exist a software that restore the network configuration as stock, i think that i have a corrupt file or script and my xt910 doesn't connect at 3g network...
how can i solve it?
THANKS!
There might be an easier way but during a recent browse of the moto customer care forum i read through a moderator thread about restoring connectivity settings. Issue dealt specifically with issues arising after installing Easy Battery Saver+Task Killer but the apk will probably work for you.
Moto Thread: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/19adf06496
Market Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/....motorola.android.restoreapn.droidrazr&rdot=1
thanks for your answer,
if i try to install this soft it says:
impossible to install in your country....
i restore config with wipe data...
thanks!

no they just do the data parts system/data/cache/dalvick; should be the same ones that are available to wipe in recovery but in a simple zip form.

No don't worry, they won't touch your carrier settings...
if you are too scared , just use tools like CDMA workshop, qpst to backup your carrier settings. Use "NV items reader writer" by CDMA ware to make a carbon copy of every setting (carrier related) that your phone currently have.
And if you ever lose flash , you can just restore it.
P.S you will have to backup MMS settings manually as these PC tools won't backup them.
hope this helps......
Well I finally managed to destroy my Phones wifi....I was trying to get hack the phone with Terminal Emulator to modify the wpa_supplicant to get it to recognize ad hoc networks and booom.
I must admit I did not know what I was doing. For everything I have read elsewhere I beleive the only solution now is to install a new rom....
The problem is this is the first time I would do it.... I have read guides on other threads but I am not still very sure how to do it or even if it would solve it.
So when I turn the wifi on, besides having lost all of my stored wifi profiles, it doesnt scan, and turns off automatically. Sometimes I even get a wifi error.
I have an Xperia Ray, rooted, I restored to factory settings but that didnt help....I rolled back to a backup I had with titanium backup and everything came back the way it was except the wifi.....wifi hotspoting works by the way.
If someone would please be so gentle to tell me what way to go, that would be a charm; I am half decent with Androids, and above Standard with Windows...
Thanks!

You could try to restore the wpa file. Extract it from a stock or custom rom and push it to your device, it should restore the default settings. Maybe it's cached somewhere.
