Hi to all! After May security patch/update.. I am unable to change the stock kernel of any ROM with the may security patch. I have tried many things but they don't seem to work. But in the April security patch build of all the other ROMs.. changing the stock kernel seems to work perfectly fine. What could be the problem and how could I solve it? I tried changing the stock kernel of Nitrogen OS May build and it gave bootloop (Stuck at logo screen) and then I tried another ROM.. liquid remix and it did the same thing and both are on May security patch! So I had to go back to April build of Nitrogen OS.. any suggestions?

Hello,
I have encountered problem with my i9300. Mobile does not detect SIMCARD, I have tried on two cards. I tried other versions of ROM, but all these were CM 12. I have passed some pages of forum, but I cannot be certain with installing any patches. Is there any way how to get over this?
I don't want do downgrade from CM12
My OS: CyanogenMod 12.1-20150825-UNOFFICIAL-i9300, as I remember that was Archidroid ROM
Any hints?
Check your imei and see if its still there
I use to use my honor 5x l22 on RR (5.8.5).
Lately after a member in the forum said CM13 has better performance& battery backup, i flashed CM13 expecting lot.
It seems now i want to get back to RR.
But when i wiped and flashed RR, TWRP got stuck on ""PATCHING SYSTEM IMAGE UNCONDITIONALLY"
I restored the backup i earlier had on EMUI (B 320).
Now i tried again the same problem persists.
I searched here as well googled. But i could understand nothing (It was something related storage format issue f2fs or something lke that).
Edit (Update) : I flashed Flyme 6 which works on Android 6. So Marshmallow ROMs work good. Problem is with Nougat ROMs
Can someone kindly help me with this in a nooby way?
I would be grateful.

You may need to update TWRP, I know sometimes you require new version for Nougat on some phones

That didn't work. I tried flashing Lineage /. It worked.

I had a similar problem so I went ahead and flashed the newer Twrp updating mine from v3.0.00, then my problems started. I ended up reflashing back to it after the update screwed my phone. I run nougat roms on ,3.0.00 no problem guess I will leave well enough alone on my L24.
Hi,
For work I have to use a few Microsoft apps on my phone. I had no problems with Nougat ROM but since I update to an Orea ROM the apps will crash. (I also have some problems with the GPS sometimes taking 1 or 2 minutes to work until I reboot, which did not happen with Nougat for me).
Should I go back to a Nougat ROM? If so, which one? It seems a lot of ROM have moved to Orea and have been abandonned on Nougat. Anyone have a ROM recommandation where the Microsoft apps would not crash and where there's no issue with the GPS?
For what it's worth, I'm currently on the Feb 2 version of Nitrogen OS.
Thanks

I just realised the dev of that ROM is quite active. I wasn't even thinking about trying a newer version of NOS but the comments I have read in the ROM are promising. I suppose I'll give this new version a try.
Hello everyone, I have a Xiaomi Mi 9SE which is rooted and safetynet check it's Ok. I did have had installed Havoc OS 3.3 and the NFC didn't worked... I've tried to use apps to make payments with nfc and everytime it crashes... Now I've installed a Pixel Experience 10.0 Rom (unofficial) and I have the same problem.. I've searched on Google and I saw many people with the same problem but didn't got a solution so far. Do any of you have an idea on how to fix it? NFC was working ok with the original rom (now I am not able to installit again, everytime I try to flash and boot I got back to TWRP).
Thanks in advance. :good:
@beastball2
You've overwritten phone's Stock ROM., hence you've no chance to install it anymore, unless you backed it up.
This is the price that people who think they must put up a better (?) ROM than that what gets pre-installed by OEM/Carrier pay.
anyone here who use japan xz1 got auto restart problem here on custom roms? I've tried havoc os and bliss os. august 2020 patch. it's so annoying when it freezes when I'm trying to do something. I'm testing my xz1 if it's eligible to be my daily driver. i just want android 10 only for the polished dark mode lol.
i use 701so. my stock rom is still softbank latest pie before i flash those custom roms...
use lineageos latest build.its working perfect for me .
