Fingerprint died [SM-G965F] - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

After one month the fingerprint sensor just died without any warning, bugs or so. Restarting the phone does not work, neither does disabling the fingerprint gestures, I also tried re-flashing the os in odin, did not work. Before I RMA it, I was wondering is there are any ways to fix it, like reinstalling a driver or whatever.
Thank you!

It looks like hardware problem.. once occurred to me for my note5.. you might go to service center and change the fingerprint reader..

[Q] Camera photos corrupted?

Hey Guys,
I've been having this problem from a while back. I take photos and a few of them turn up cut off and sort of merged with others?
Here are 2 examples.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also, I've noticed a lot of photos that are corrupted and simply cannot be opened either on my device or on my computer.
I thought it might be a problem with my SD card, so I changed it but I'm still getting this problem, also none of the other files on my SD card have any problems.
Does anyone know what might cause this? Or if there's a solution?
Thanks
Try with another camera app from store...

Ok...I will try that, but I'm not going to accept that as a solution...
If the camera has a problem with it then I want to return my phone as it's still under warranty.
I've done factory resets and keep getting this problem, so I'm unsure whether it's a hardware or software problem.
Thanks.

Google play services problem - watch disconected from phone

EDIT:
Right after I opened this topic, I removed notification from watch and it was connected again with phone. Strage...
I have also gotten that and have also reset and rebooted the watch. Also have a S6 (edge+). For other reasons, got a replacement watch yesterday and it's already done it. Rebooting the watch seems to fix things but I also wonder what's the root problem.

Hi SallyC, did you ordered your watch directly from Motorola, or some other online seller?

Did I get a hard brick and I have not got RN2 anymore?

Hi everybody,
A few days ago my RN2 died, I tried to unlock it but it has no response I thought the battery drained down but it didn't.
I am trying keep it back and go out from this brick thing but I can't by myself.
Apparently, drivers are installed but I am not completely sure.
When I plug the mobile to the PC it goes enable and disable like a loop from the device manager window. Although, when Flashtool tries to install the recovery send me an error 'BROM S_FT_GET_MENORY_FAIL, as I read, it means Flashtool can't find the partition where it has to write the recovery, but then I don't know if it is a driver trouble or it is a hardware problem, what do you think?

PS. I tried from win 7, 8 and 10, and always the same, it sounds like it is recognizing the phone but it turns back and disable the COM port every minute :s

Hi,
I had such an issue with my MI MAX.
I got rid of it by connecting a mouse and did a factory reset and it worked. I don't have a bluetooth mouse, so i used a wired one.
See if that helps.

I am using xperia 1 Softbank 802SO running on android 10. Suddenly fingerprint sensor was not responding. Then I tried to add a new fingerprint, it is was showing that fingerprint sensor dirty, asking to clean. After some moment the fingerprint option vanished.
What can i do now?
We have the same situation though mine was from AU. I think this is a hardware failure of some sort.
I tried flashing into uk global rom, but it is not solved.

Hey mate, try this guide. Works fine to me. Use the UK Customized Rom Android 11.
