Hi xda Members,
I got a Vivo Y53 here which is belong to my friend and its already bricked. It just bootlooping at bootlogo but I still can enter fasboot & recovery mode by manual pressing buttons.
The bootloader system is lock and Usb debug is also not turned ON.
Downloaded & trying to flash its stock ROMs using QFIL but it always failed because it can't find "system_1.img" in directory, it only have "system.img". Just a single system img.
I Open that raw XML using Notepadd++ to check and found the problem but I dont know how to modify it or maybe I don't have to...
Here I attach the XML file at bottom of this thread.
I would like to ask if anyone can help me to fix this XML for only flashing system.img and not system_1.img until system_30.img. Same for data/cache imges.
Appreciate any help!
Many thanks!
*Sorry for my broken english..

Hi guys..
Sorry for late updates.
Gladfull I manage to get this problem solved finally.
Attempted to edit that XML file by deleting unnecessary rows, change system_<numbers>.img to only system.img and and same for data.img and cache.img.
Change the start sectors for those imgs to be flashed by refer to its last imgs ending sectors. I know maybe the method I used is sound like crazy. Hahaha.. but it works man!
After all process done. Unplug USB and press power button. I dont know why. But it takes almost 1minute to powering up. It entered system repair menu again and I choose to Power Off. And reboot into recovery > wipe data and caches. And reboot....
VIOLAA! It works! PRAISE to God
Thanks to members who tried to help. I appreciate your kind efforts. If anyone need more infos or have any questions regarding my revive methods. Please ask. I'm more than happy to help.
Best regards.

i can't enter recovery mode since it shuts down on its own
i can enter fastboot mode once i let go of the volume- key it resets again
edit: suddenly i was able to enter some mode and was able to reboot it, i dont even lost any files in the process, i think it was because i charged it, can anybody confirm this?
edit 2: it entered bootloop again, is there a way to stop this?

Dear friends!
My Sony Tablet S is bricked, I cannot doing anything now, all I can now is accessing recovery mode.....I need an original firmware for Sony tablet S, please help me if you have. I have tried some update firmware... but it's not works. Please help me, my tablet is like a brick now..
Dear neo.sys,
if You have only root your tablet and not find in this forum a file to recovery from sd card your system (there are some file that you can test searching in similar problem) You can only attend a Sony tablet upgrade to ICS and search again in this forum....
but if You are in valid assistance period contact with email Sony assistance (say it only the problem that You have not cause) and they retired your tablet and repair it free of charge; for now is this....
...
That's mean I will put my tablet S back in a box and waiting for next upgrade?
I just bought it yesterday....what the...!
I have updated 3.1 with OTA, root and using SystemApps Remover to remove some system application. And now.. it's brick. Is there any way to get back in the original firmware? (My original firmware is broken also)
Totally dead??

The question is - have you made 'rescue-backdoor'?
(lower value of build.prop incremental)
If yes - we can help you. If no - wait for ICS.

Test this ( with main connect; this delete all your data and app and root !!):
1) turn off tablet
2) press together button on and vol+; at Sony logo relase vol+
3) at new screen select "reset to factory setting" with button vol- and vol+
4) press button on to conferme
5) select "Yes delete all user data" with button vol- and vol+
6) press button on to conferme
7) tablet restart with a reset to default if have a chance...
but if You have buy it yesterday a new tablet You can have a Sony assistance...
...
Dear Condi and Gonzo!
Thanks for your reply, I think may be it's unlucky day of me
1. I do not making a 'rescue-backdoor'
2. I have tried using Receovery Mode to factory resetting it. It's worked but system program (that I remove it when using System Apps Remover) do not exits, because I remove S-launcher so.. I cannot access a home menu.... Can not doing anything.
This is my About Tablet S
Android Version 3.2.1 (Release 2)
Kernel 2.6.36.3
Build NUmber THMAS0012400
Is there anyway for re-flashing this tablet with original factory firmware? I don't need ICS, only need 3.2 ....

Boot your tab in normal way, if it boots ok, even without stock launcher, with black-screen, it should still be accessable via adb.
Check if 'adb shell' works. If yes - it can be fixed easly.
br
condi
Dear Codi!
Yes, I adb shell work... Please show me how to fix it... I'm very appreciated that
Do you have the status bar (with the wifi and battery indicators) on the bottom of the screen after deleting data and reset to factory from recovery and reboot?
If yes, you can access the paremeters menu and choose "accessibility". You will be asked if you want to download an accessibility app. Say yes and you will be in the market. Ask for a launcher of your choice and install it. Then you will be able to install a text editor, edit build.prop and get an OTA update but be carefull, you may download the unrootable kernel 10!
Maybe you can also ask here for the s-launcher APK and install it from recovery with adb... I can't retrieve it since my tablet isn't rooted (kernel 10)...
Good luck!
Sorry Condi, I haven't seen that you're handling the thing because I was typing my post while you were answering!

I really hate this ...
first ignore every hint regarding backdoor and recovery ...
did deep changes in the system and brick the device ...
afterwards crying and asking for support (our time) ...
OMG ... first of all you can go to the Google Play market and install from there a alternative launcher like GoLauncher HD and RootExplorer ...
In a next step you can ask here for the original s-launcher file and copy it back to /system/app
but to be honest ... how du.. must I be to delete the only launcher on a system?

Now, before you make any system modifications - run AiO tool, and make rescue-backdoor. It will give you possibilty to reflash your current firmware,

I have been able to get out of this by plugging and unplugging power cord while spamming power button until charge animation shows on screen. Most people take the phone apart and disconnect the battery. If you try my method don't give up right away, it took at least 10 minutes each time.
Edit..... I think I held the power button pressed while inserting and removing cord from charge port.

Just reboot your phone, go to recovery mode and clear cache.
After doing, try again.
If it doesn't work, go to the same recovery mode and select wipe data.
CAUTION: Wiping data deletes all the files, messages and contacts that are stored only in phone memory.
Then reboot again and everything will be normal.
Press thanks if I have helped you.

Hi gang!
I have a Moto E 2nd Generation here that was having some issues, browser crashing, slow downs, overheating issues due to multiple apps running, etc. So I decided to log into TWRP and attempt to do a factory reset. After this factory reset was done now I attempt to log into fastboot, which gives me the options of start, restart, factory, etc. I am just receiving a boot loop and nothing more. The steps to get this corrected is a bit jumbled and confusing, I must admit. I have installed ADB on my computer in hopes that this will be straightforward. I have downloaded some system images which I thought would help the process, negative. So if someone could help me this would be greatly appreciated.

Heyo John!
I can try to help since I have managed to overcome my bootloop issue and flash a custom ROM into my phone. Could I ask, are you trying to also install a custom ROM? And what version of TWRP do you have?
I had the bootloop issue because of an outdated TWRP and had to flash the latest one, which thankfully worked!

Hello testerexp345,
Thank you for the reply and the assistance, I am not sure if TWRP is installed anymore as I can't get passed the bootscreen on the phone. I hold down the volume down and power button to get the options of factory reset, shut down, restart, etc. However all these options lead back to the boot screen looping over. The ROM that I had installed on the phone was from an online seller that paired the phone with a SIM card that allowed unlimited data service, which was great for my business since I am out much of the week traveling. Any insight would help, as when it comes to flashing devices and cell phones... let's just say I am a newbie still

I wish you success
Edit: At the end of the discussion there is a link to https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1E5pBRVSkHv-nc9pQ25DtAp4MwfOOgIwy with lineage-17.1-20200829-UNOFFICIAL-gts3lwifi.zip

boot screen is in loop

Sure ... How well do you already know about rooting or the tools for Samsumg devices?
I will sketch a brief instruction, first download:
Odin (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ead-03-sep-20-galaxy-s10-sm-g975f-ds.3908710/ should work ... you can find most of the software in the tools section odf xda)
SamFirm (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-downloader-checker.2988647/)
Use SamFirm to download the latest original Samsung Firmware.
(Connect Tablet with PC & start Download-Mode: press Power (only until Vibrate) + Volume down + Home green Screen then Volume Up, voila)
And use Odin to flash Tablet S3 -> good as new, and you can start all over again ;-)
I will attach some Screenshots ...
Many Greetings

Did you (not forget to) FORMAT DATA before your attempt to Install a Rom???
maybe try to flash https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-sm-t820-tweaked-rom-sm-t820-tweaked.3659433/ first ... in the thread are very detailed instructions.
just to clarify the above, this is done wile in twrp > wipe menu >format data and it requires you type"yes" before it launches the process
@Frischifrisch @Lucauonz
As Samsung has changed servers or what so ever, Samfirm I didn't find working any longer.
Samfirm_reborn did/does it.

.
Btw. recommendation of "Format Data" I encourage as well.
Might be neccessary to reboot to recovery afterwards before continuing.
@Lucauonz Which Gapps are you using?
Pico version I've always found best, as everything else can be installed later additionally.
Try just flashing ROM and test if device restarts without anything else to exclude Gapps as the cause for the failure.
Hi guys,
thanks a lot for your help, for now i am still with this problem, i am left with the boot screen in loop,
now i'm looking for a way to go back to an original android version if possible, a version that doesn't slow me down.
i don't know if it's possible not having a backup
thanks verymuch

That's not a problem to go back to stock.
Just follow the post from @Frischifrisch and use samfirm_reborn to get multiple part version.
