After updating to Oreo, cannot turn off WiFi Connected notifications - Moto Z Questions & Answers

I know that in N I didn't always have the notification of which WiFi network my phobe was connected to, but now in Oreo I do. I can't find how to turn it off though!

Your not the only one. I have this useless notification as well. Whenever the phone connects to WiFi, a useless notification pops up in the notifications letting me know that I've connected to the wifi. I already know I connected and I don't need Android telling me that it has connected. I've not found a way to disable it.

Keep wifi awake during standby?

I tried to enable this feature in KaiserTweak and although it says the wifi is still on, it often cuts out and then does not function properly until I do a soft reset. Does anyone have a solution for keeping the wifi on during standby that works a little better?
Thanks!

Pocket Toolman has that feature and it works.
I tried it and it appeared to be working for awhile but I've noticed that if I press the power button to put the phone into the standby when I resume the wifi says it is still connected but is in fact no longer functioning. All my internet-enabled applications disconnect and the browser doesn't work. Even when I move out of range of my access point the same access points remain in the available networks list. If I turn my wifi on and off and try to connect to another access point it never connects and an error pops up saying so. The wifi doesn't work until I do a soft reset.
If I do NOT enable the option to keep wifi active during sleep then all my internet-enabled apps disconnect when the phone is put in standby but the wifi continues to work properly when I resume the phone from standby...
I am running phoneAlarm. Could this cause some issues with it?
My current profile is set as "Do not change" for wifi though so I wouldn't think it would cause any issues...

[Q] Wifi tries to connect on wakeup even when wifi off is this a 'feature?'

When I deliberately turn off wifi cos there is none available I can use at work, on wake up my phone seems to always drop the 3G connection and attempt to connect to wifi, if there is a known one nearby it says connected to ' xxx hotspot' this happens when wifi is off and the connection doesnt actually get made, it then takes a while for 3G to come back on again, this is annoying as I dont have instant on data as it faffs around trying to connect to wifi when it is meant to be off.
I have a Stock phone, UK Vodafone on XXELLA version.
Is there a setting I have missed as this is starting to really annoy me now.
I wish I had kept my SGS2 as the freezing issues I keep getting and now this wifi make this a poor performing phone for the costs/specs..

Wifi not connecting

My phone is on the fritz with random restarts and occasional bootloops but I still need to use it somehow. Now it won't connect to a wifi network. When i switch wifi on, it either does nothing or the antenna icon in the quick settings blinks but doesnt connect.
Im on stock LG android 4.4.2, but rooted.
Ideas?

Wifi stays disable

I have a problem where my the wifi stays disable. I will connect to a wifi network or when my phone does it then later it will say disable. I dont know why it just keeps disabling itself. I have a good connection at work and home. I have reseted the phone and it did not help. I don't know what could be the problem. Any one have an idea.

WiFi Not turning off

If I missed a forum for this i apologize.
I have a mate 20 pro and so far i have had no issues, until the last couple days. I will be going along and it will seem like i can't connect to the internet through my wifi. I will go to check my wifi and find out it's connected to the wrong network and when i try to turn it off and make it connect to the correct wifi I can't get it to disconnect. If i tap the wifi icon it will look like i disconnected but as soon as I slide the option buttons back up, the phone still shows i'm connected. The only way to break the connection to the wrong wifi is to reboot the phone.
Does anyone recognize this issue?
