Convert Dual-Sim to Single-Sim to get RSAP ? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

I use my RSAP functionality of my car-kit on daily base, and i cannot go without it.
As far as my information goes, ONLY the single SIM versions support RSAP, so i need one of those.
I'm struggling to obtain a single SIM version, as there are only Dual-Sim versions on my local market.
Is there any way to mod/flash/convert a dual SIM S9/S9+ into single SIM to regain RSAP compatibility?

[Q] SIM card emulator

Hello,
I have a question:
Is it possible to write an SIM card emulator software for Android?
By doing this, putting in a sim card in the phone, starting up an app that clones it in the memory, doing the same with a second sim card and then being able to change software wise?
I would like to hear your idea's on the possibilities on that matter.
Any ideas?
I would like this as well, basically making the phone a dual sim phone without the extra space required.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
The SIM card is designed not to allow the Authentication Key to be obtained using the smart-card interface. Instead, the SIM card provides a function, Run GSM Algorithm, that allows the phone to pass data to the SIM card to be signed with the Authentication Key.
So it's not possible.

Wouldn't it be possible to decode the Authetication key?
I'm just curious, do you understand what does Authentication key mean? How are going to "decode" it?
I have all date needed to make a copy of my sim card (KI and IMSI), is there any emulator or driver that will run on android and use this date to simulate second sim card?
The SIM card is read by the baseband processor (aka BP or CP), and all SIM related processing is done there. So in theory, if you have already managed to extract your KI, IMSI etc. by other methods (i.e. SIM-card cloning), you could hack the baseband firmware to accept the new data you supply. However, each phone model have a different BP or firmware, so this very much complicates things. In addition and very unfortunately we know very little about the various BP's used at this point.
Some Qualcomm Refrence Manuals are available, whereas Intel/Infineon ones are not. Find them, and we could move on with this interesting topic. Apple proposed using software based SIM cards many years ago, and are still fighting with service providers to implement this.
I have acer liquid MT. I'm not a programer (I'm also not a totally black in this topic), so I will leave this topic, maybe in future there will be some software to emulate sim card. It would be nice to use one card (emulated) for calling and second one for internet data.
Your best bet now, is to buy reprogrammable 16-in-1 GSM SIM card allowing for up to 16 IMSI (phone numbers) to be stored in the same card. Check out Sysmocom website!
I have greencard if I good remember, I can store there up to 16 numbers, but with that kind of cards you must chose which number you want to use (only one at the same time), and the second problem is that there is now way to get this data (imsi, ki) from new sim card (the are very good protected and after few try the card is damaged).

my question is that I have a ROM with a sim and install another rom with dual sim and my phone which stick with dual sim Recognizes no longer I RECOMMEND
Just FYI almost every qualcomm baseband has an internal SIM emulator, but infos about it are shady and well hidden.
Found in internet some Qualcomm modem sources maybe it will help to make some emulators

VoLTE - How will Android manage this moving forward?

Hi Guys,
1. I am NOT an expert as to how VoLTE works in the back end.
VoLTE is the use of LTE to carry voice calls, as opposed to falling back onto 3G / 2G to carry the voice call. Advantages include, lower connection time, wideband audio, etc.
I've recently spent some time changing the CID and firmaware on my HTC 10 to one that is region specific to enable VoLTE on my handset.
It appears the way Apple implements carrier settings means that different carrier settings can be delivered to any iPhone, but it appears Android is currently managing this differently, as OEMs are creating variants of the software to cater for each region/carrier's variations.
What this means for me is, even if I purchase an unlocked device, if it isnt from my region, I will likely have to do extensive modification to enable VoLTE.
Does anyone know if Android N manages VoLTE differently? What's el-Goog thingking here?

G965F (Dual-Sim). Wifi-calling and VoLTE dont work when SIM 2 is "data-sim"

Hi.
I have the S9+ G965F with two sim-cards. Sim 1 is for calls and sms. Sim 2 is for data. However the phone does not allow both cards to use the 4G network.
Sim 1 is on 2G/3G network
Sim 2 is on 2G/3G/4G
So obviously VoLTE dont work for Sim 1. I didn't expect anything else.
But it seems that Wifi-calling (Sim 1) doesen't work either when Sim 2 is set to 2G/3G/4G
If I set Sim 1 to calling, sms, and data both VoLTE and Wifi-calling works.
Is there any fix for this?
I am on stock (NEE CSC) rom. I have root and custom kernel (Flash Kernel)
This is how Samsung implemented the Dual SIM ability on this phone. We cant do anything to change it
As far as I remember, Huawei Mate 10 Pro was the only phone that I used and it had dual VoLTE (thus VoWiFi) and it didn't matter which card you had for data
Does this mean that no future software will be available to enable this function?
Huawei Mate 10 (non Pro) also supports dual VoLTE. I believe it is the same for P20 Pro. Samsung is behind in this area. Hopefully, S10+ will have this feature.
Hello. I am bumping this up, because I'm considering buying a Dual SIM S9, but I need WiFi calling on one SIM and mobile data on the second one.
Maybe someone could confirm whether with the OS upgrades (currently Android 10 I think), this issue has been fixed? Is it possible to have WiFi Calling on the first SIM and mobile data active on the second one?

Network Operator seeking VoLTE Help

Hello Forum,
I currently work for a Telecommunications Operator in Jersey, UK, We are soon deploying VoLTE across our network, however we are struggling with enabling VoLTE on the handsets, we have spoken directly with the OEM handset manufacturers but its proving difficult to get a VoLTE OTA settings from them any time soon,
I'm wondering if its possible to root a phone and get access to the VoLTE settings that we can manually enter in order to test and facilitate our VoLTE roll out, we have access to various handsets including Samsung S8/S9/9+, iPhone, Sony XZ. Please let me know if this would be possible
Thanks, Regards
Hello,
Is anyone able to give any info on this? Ideally we are looking at being able to manually enter VoLTE / IMS configurations, Is Rooting all that is required to enable this or is the a specific ROM I'll need to install also?
Thanks, Regards

4G Connection

I've recently installed Pixel Experience Plus (android Q). I've two sims both require volte to use internet but I'm not able to switch data from one to another. MIUI had an ability to use VOLTE for either of the sim but that is not available here only sim 1 supports volte in this. Can I know the solution for this?
