I am running lineage and from time to time it gets stuck in the boot animation.. This happened a few days ago. I know how to fix this normally but now twrp is also missing.
All the flashing guide for twrp that I have found require a working os.
I am running linux but have access to windows.
Am I hosed or is there a work around?

So I just flashed the boot partition in the hopes of getting TWRP working, but it seems that I cannot boot in android. I'm asking if anyone could send me the boot.img.

hello, so after trying to flash stock lollipop something went wrong and now can't access download mode, i tried to flash laf.img but i can't flash anything using adb, plz help.

I've never done this before but, your best bet is to take a look at (and post your question if needed) the various guides and such regarding Fastboot. The following thread is an example of one and seems to be very active.

hello guys.im trying to unlock my bootloader via adb but when i run fastboot command it says waiting for device i have searched on the internet how to fix this but when i go to bootloader mode there is no device in device manager on computer.any idead?SM-J710F

wow thanks for the thread but i have tried many times flashing the twrp and i end up with the stock recovery.as the thread says if you end like this try again.i tried it plenty of times and i have found in an xda forum that there is stock recovery because the bootloader is locked :/ i have rooted in nougat but i decided that it was time to install oreo and know i dont know why it isnt working.In nougat i did it with first try :/
