The vocal guidance feature (from Run Settings-More settings-Guidance-On, from my Stratos watch) it's not working. I can't hear any voice guide (no matter if the watch is set in english or chinese language) on my BT headset (wich is shown as connected).
Also, the music from the watch memory is working perfectly through the same BT headset, only the voice guides is not working.
Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?
Xiaomi Amazfit Stratos (Model: A1619, ROM:2.3.5.0)
Thanks
As far as I know, it works only in Chinese firmware. To be able to use it in any other language, you must unlock watch's bootloader and flash a custom ROM based on CN firmware that supports voice alerts.
Ok, so pretty complicated.
But can anyone (wich have flashed this Custom ROM), tell me what type of info is delivered through this voice guidance??
Pace? HR? Distance?
Thanks a lot.

"Already run: [X] kilometres. Recent Pace: Your current pace is [X] minutes and [X] seconds per kilometre"
This is what I hear in my bluetooth headphones. I am using the Amazfit Pace with Pacefied software (CN based)

ok, thanks
2 more questions:
- at wich interval (minutes) do you get the vocal guidance
- can you hear the alerts aswell (i mean, when the watch alerts you that your pace is under a certain amount set by you, can you hear the alert on the headset aswell?)
Thanks a lot
@cuibusel
- works with lap alert (1km/mi)
- yes, there are separated voice alerts for them as well (CN firmware only, as I said previously).
Can you guide me to a link for the custom ROM based on CN firmware that supports voice alerts, for Stratos, because I only find for Amazfit Pace (not for Pace 2, aka stratos).
Is this the one? https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/rom-stratosfied-amazfit-amazfit-2-t3758506
I dont know if it s really for Stratos, or fi it has english voice alerts support.
Thanks
@cuibusel I have never installed or used this ROM, but it's the only one that's been updated for Stratos, and I know it's based on CN firmware and also says that it has voice alerts (if Neue_User says it, I think it is true).

Hello everyone! I was wondering if the microphone of the Amazfit Pace smartwatch was actually usable for third party apps, as I am thinking about it as my Pebble substitute.
If not, is there a way to enable it or is it factory disabled?
I only know about a voice recorder app.
The records with that app were distorted. But it shows that the microphone itself is working.
More functionality may be coming in ROM updates: http://amazfitcentral.com/2017/11/0...0-stable-rom-update-announcement-chinese-rom/
My question was if other third party android apps could access the microphone
Amazfit Pace to support Voice assistant\Microphone
I read about it here, comming soon.
https://yournexttech.com/amazfit-pace-support-voice-assistant-next-update/
the Chinese rom version support voice commands for the last few months already ... Stratos lack the mic, so this "Voice assistant" is working already and will not go anywhere in the near future.
I've just bought an Amazfit pace (international version) and love it. One thing I keep seeing in online forums is that it supports audio lap alerts when running and connected to a bluetooth headset. I cannot get this to work on mine and cannot seem to find a definitive answer on whether or not this actually works. I've only ran twice with the watch (both times playing music via bluetooth earphones and leaving my phone at home) but just get a vibration and an on screen message showing me my pace for the last km. (I've turned on the Lap Alert setting).
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or does this feature actually exist?
Also just to add to this, I noticed the pace alert only seems to work if I have my wrist raised (backlight turns on). Should this not always work?
Hey everyone!
Just got my Amazfit Stratos and I was wondering if the watch has integrated beeper or speaker? Judging by the menus, where you can set your watch silent (Settings/Common/Silent), I suppose it does, but mine is totally mute.
By the way, the watch is the Chinese version, but I already switched to STRATOSfied rel.6 (2.0.15.0), still no sounds coming from it

Doesnt have speaker...
Pity...
Thanks, at least I know there is nothing wrong with it
no buzzer or spearker, will the watch vibrate if do not disturb mode is trigger?
I have an Amazfit Verge international model A1811 running ROM 3.2.3.0.
The watch was working perfectly until yesterday when I realised that I wasn't hearing any notification sounds. I checked the sound & volume settings & nothing was muted. To confirm I had my wife call me & during the call she could hear me but I couldn't hear a single sound from the watch's speaker. The watch has never gotten wet in the circa one month I've owned it.
Apart from this the watch is a perfect replacement for my PACE & is fulfilling the purpose I bought it for ie fitness tracking.
Can any one help me figure out what is wrong with the watch before I try and see if Xiaomi Pakistan will honour the warranty of Xiaomi UAE?

When i calling to someone straight from watch i can heard it as normal call, if someone calling to me and i answering - i can't heard it, in caller phone at this moment is still ringing sound. This is probably update 3.2.3.0 issue/bug. Amazfit reported about it. As i saw Amazfit enough fast fixing problems, when was problem with double tap on screen probably update out very fast about 2 week later. So wait patience before you will do something extreme with yours watch like brining to authorized services Also try restart yours smartphone and see is any problem with Amazfit Watch app, version 2.7.2 after reboot of smartphone force closing, in screen is warning about that. Sometime restarting notifications permission and ect. Need to add it again. I already updated this app to 2.9.0 which you can find in https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/huami...ase/amazfit-watch-2-9-0-android-apk-download/ and all problems with that gone. I am sure it's issue/bug of software, so if you can straight from Amazft Watch app (i using android) report Amazfit about this problem too, coz if will be more report about this problem, Amazfit faster maybe will fix it
if all of your tests are not working, try to factory reset the watch first
Did a hard reset as soon as I noticed the problem.

This is Amazfit update issue/bug. Amazfit must to fix that with future updates
the sound bug was fixed in the latest OTA of the Verge, the cracking/distorted sound
Turned out to be an unrepairable hardware issue with the speaker. Received a replacement today & so far so good.

Hello everyone,
I'm going to buy Verge but I have some doubts. I hope you will help me:
1. I know that in lite version You can't control music during active training. But what about "not lite" Verge version? Am I able swtich between training and music control? Or at first turn on music (mp3 on watch itself) and then start training?
2. Am I able to control Spotify app on smartphone?
Best regards,
Lukasz
1. Only if you use AV2P Bluetooth headphones, as latest Chinese firmware for Verge, there is no music control during activities like the one available for Pace/Stratos;
2. Yes, if you enable Music control in Amazfit Watch app and you keep the phone with you and connected to the watch, of course. But, again, you cannot control music this way during sports activities.
Verge isn't the best option for sports:
1. Battery life is shorter if compared to Pace/Stratos mainly due to AMOLED display, what also makes it harder to read outdoors during the day unless you use maximum brightness;
2. It is all plastic and IP68 (although I doubt it due to the openings for both mic and speaker);
3. Custom straps are hard to find because it does not use an standard format, although they have the quick-release mechanism.
Thx for reply.
Yes but I can play music before trening start, and this is OK for me (I got Verge since friday). I made 2 trainings and for now only drawback is brightness, it could be better. But I run at evening mostly.
I found some offers for straps on Ali, and I am wating for delivery.
Generaly I am realy happy. Verge is not perfect but if You consider price/value ratio it is best choise im my opinion.
What the heck, Huami? And I thought I was doing something wrong or overlooking something. Why would you not make music controllable on the Verge during an activity when it is possible on Stratos / Pace?? That's frustrating.
I got weird interrupts when playing music over BT while running with GPS on and using Polar BT HR band. Every 20 to 60 seconds the music has little pauses. This happens with MPow DS6 headphones. Has anyone else this?
