My 7 plus (TA-1062) is running on Oreo 8.1.0. The problem is if I try to watch a movie or video on an apps like Google chrome on landscape mode, the rotation-lock doesn't allow to lock the screen on landscape mode. It's either portrait mode or the auto-rotation mode. If the phone tilts a bit, the landscape mode goes back to portrait mode. Is there any solution to this?

I just want to lock down my vibrant when I get in the car or my galaxy tab in portrait mode for video. I cannot find any player that has rotate feature to force the playback into portrait mode instead of landscape mode. I have tried dozens of players. Is it a problem with the Galaxy S line all together?

Hi, my I9100 when the phone is set to auto-rotate, and is in landscape mode, it will not return into portrait mode. Not even if i set it to no auto-rotation. It runs KitKat (Beanstalk) and even if i manage to get it to portrait, the apps that were viewed in landscape will remain in landscape.
Every tme the only solution is to reboot.
Its defently not a hardware issue, but i have noticed while using apps that show the orientation of the phone such as Bubble level, that the phone doesnt detect when it is faced bottom side, up.
Please help
Is there anyway to get the phoneapp (the one you call with) into landscape mode?
