So I have a galaxy S9 + (Exynos 128gb version). For the past week I have been having a bug with Facebook Messenger - when I open any of my chats it starts giving me notification sounds and vibration as if I am receiving unread messages, which is not the case. I checked on my other phone (OnePlus 3T) and the bug doesn't exist there.
So far I have tried clearing the data and cache and reinstalling the app, but nothing has fixed it.
Any ideas guys?
I'm having this issue as well.

i just updated my facebook app on galaxy s3 but there is no notifications anymore ??
Consider yourself lucky.
please no questions in this section
no solve or what ??????? :crying:
Try wipe data on facebook app, then set up notifications again possibly? Otherwise, nothing we can think of. I've had no facebook notifications for months. All of a sudden they started working again. Its unreliable.
Howdy!
So - I'm coming from Galaxy Nexus and love this phone. However, I notice that Google Voice (in particular) doesn't seem to notify or sync well. My settings are fine and it works sometimes but more often than not, I'm not getting the notifications for new messages.
Gmail also seems to be affected but less so.
Anyone else having this issue?
So i have my S2 with the upgraded 4.1.2 stock rom from Samsung , but rooted, and go launcher.
I have this setup for the last 2 years or so with all the go launcher upgrades.
My problems are like this:
I have not received Gmail notifications in forever i always have to check manually for mail.
Yes i tried emptying cache and app data and the label notifications are always checked for all my accounts, but still nothing.
I have used Jorte calendar for some time but had to give it up last year cause after a while it would not send me notifications on the dates i set.
Recently i tried using Caynax hourly notification app.
This program doesnt send a visual notification in the notification area but plays a little audio clip similarly to when you receive a message.
And again after using it for a few weeks it just stopped sending notifications.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing data and the lot, settings in the app show everything is set up to send me the notifications and yet it doesnt.
I am getting some notifications, Facebook , YT and pushes , to name just a few, seem to work well enough
So if anyone has any experience with something like this please help.
humble bump
Facebook and Facebook Messenger notifications doesn't get cleared after I read them in my PC\browser...
I got Galaxy S6.
BTW I checked the issue with a Nexus 5 and it works well there... after reading a message on the browser, the notification disappear from the Nexus 5.
This isnt the case with my S6 :\
Hi all,
I have been searching for this for a while and haven't found the answer anywhere.
I have 2 problems with notifications on my S9+ and can't figure out how to fix them - hopefully someone here can help.
1. Gmail: I have 4 different gmail accounts on my phone, 3 of them show up notifications no problem, but 1 of them for some reason doesn't. The one that doesn't is the most important one however, and the default account for the phone.
I have gone through what I can see for the settings and duplicated everything between the different accounts and I have also deleted the account and reloaded it and still no joy.
From what I can see it is still syncing and retrieving the mails, but just not telling me if there are new ones there.
Any ideas?
2. Whatsapp: This may not be an issue with my phone, but again hopefully someone can help. I have a wearOS watch and up until recently whatsapp notifications were coming up on the watch no problem before one day just stopping. I am not sure if any changes occured (add update etc.) that caused the notifications to stop.
But what makes this one strange (to me anyway) is that all other notifications come up no problem on my watch, however I also have a fitbit which retrieves whatsapp messages but these are still working fine. Both watch and fitbit worked fine with whatsapp notifications previously just in case anyone thinks there might be an issue having two wearables taking the same notifications.
Hopefully someone can help me with 1 or both of these issues.
Thanks very much,
N
