Hi everyone! Thank you for your help in getting CM up to a flawless standard! We are now almost ready to deploy CM 1.5 - it will include MMS blocking, Class0 auto replies and many other new and very cool features.
We need your help now to iron out any remaining bugs before we embark on a daemon rebuild. Please download the app from the market and get testing! Here are the issues we want to address specifically:
- If you have problems regaining 3G after the telephony restart. This should have been fixed. If not, please try "Slow radio restart" in Debugging and report your results!
- Issues moving list priorities on Light or Dark theme. Again, if you have issues, please switch to the other theme, try again and then report back.
- Notification color schemes. We are interested if the new notifications comply with the majority of frameworks.
Thank you in advance for all your great work, this ultra-awesome app is as much a child of yours as it is of ours

This is a fully functional application. However, after a 24 hour demo period it will start nagging you to buy the Key, which will remove all nag
screens and timeouts from the interface. The nag screens are pretty light though, so users who dont want to spend can live with them.

So? Anything to report?
"Just as with Root Call Blocker, Motorola seems to have a knack for releasing crappy proprietary radio drivers that cause connectivity issues when working with our native daemon."
Damn them, they should really work around your little app. What nerve!
My little app is the best app of its kind asshole.
Any issues to report with 1.2?
By the way, for those that dont know we released an app called SwitchMe that will, among other things, give you EVEN MORE PRIVACY:

Your app would be the best app of its kind if it had a built in private chat style sms. But since it doesnt I left to using RCB for the muted/ignore call function and Extreme Call Blocker invisible for everything else. That muted call function is what sets your app apart from the rest in my opinion....everything else you have is just regurgitation....which makes the app way more complex than it has to be.
And the daemon thing is an issue but worth it to have some radio troubles a couple times a day in exchange for the mute/ignore function you have. The only other MAJOR issue with your app is your attitude.....you support your apps but your responses are extemely disrespectful when they dont need to be. But halfdriven was also being an asshole for no reason about your app!!
We already have private SMS mate! Its just virtual - add the "Make private" action to your list, long press on the list to sweep the system logs and that's it. You can chat through your SMS app and dialer of choice and the app will move all the logs into Call Master.

I will try it again.the l fast time I tried it the sweep action took a while and was not consistently removing private texts....but that was several revisions back....I'll give it another go....thanks.
That's not possible. It ALWAYS works. It may simply take up to 15 seconds. You don't even have to have the messenger open.

Should I remove root call blocker before using this?
Its not necessary. But you should at least disable it.
Updated OP - impressions please!!!
This thing is rock solid thanks very much
Thanks, but what about my questions in the OP?
By the way we released a new app today some of you might also find useful, you can find it here:

Be sure to let me knwo if you do, and of course if you have some suggestions!
Im confused, do we need to purchase this app in order to test it out? If you need testers why would you make them pay to test this app? I looked through the thread and didnt find anything addressing this issue.
Hi everyone. Im one of the developers of SwitchMe, and app that allows multiple secure logins into separate installations of android on a single device. The pr is after the break.
I really need a few people to check into some issues people on the Flyer have been experiencing. There are some warnings involved:
- testers must perform a full nandroid backup before using the app, it is not our responsibility if you start getting boot loops
- if you report results or bugs, please use the "Write to us" function in the app whenever possible, and always describe the issue in the header of the logs you send
- if you post here, bes sure to include your device type and rom
- if you have apps installed on sd, be sure to mention that as well
--------------------------------------------------------------------
SwitchMe is a unique application for root users that allows you to log in and out of multiple installations of Android just as you would on a desktop computer.
The technology behind SwitchMe saves all of your applications and data, protects it and stores it as a file in memory. You can then log out of an
account and log into a fresh installation of Android or another account with its own unique content.
You may create as many profiles as the memory is capable of holding. Some of these may require very little free memory because they contain few apps,
others will be larger as they contain many applications and lots of cache and data.
Why is this functionality useful?
Privacy - the most obvious benefit is that you can securely share one device among multiple users, which gives you privacy and peace of mind.
Testing - if you are a developer, you can use profiles as clean sandboxes to test your applications and their interaction with the system.
Gaming – with multiple installations of Android on a single device, you can now play online MMOs as different characters.
Speed - the games your kids play slow down your tablet, but with SwitchMe you can easily create profiles without games or instant messengers.
Battery life - when the battery is low but there are important emails or documents to edit later, switch to a profile which only contains these essentials.
These of course are only suggestions - there are plenty of other uses for the functionality SwitchMe offers.

The Lite version allows the creation of two profiles, enough to test on.

SwitchMe 1.2 has been rolled out and now includes a lockscreen replacement:
1.2
Added lock screen for logging in and out
More stable Fast switch implementation
Reworked UI colors
Now, its very important that we get some feedback on how this big new feature works, so please read up on it in the help and post your thoughts!
1.2.2 - HOTFIX 2
Reworked widget on qHD+ displays
Fixed widget text on HC and ICS
Fast switch improved on older devices
Anything at all? How is the lockscreen?
Its working perfectly here! Thank for this awesome app!
Anything other than praise to report
Sorry - its working fine so just praise
Next version the switch screen will be for all accounts...
What do you think of yesterday's update?
Using LeeDroid 4.1 - The second profile that was created is not a second LeeDroid but standard HC version... (so worked somehow as a bootmanager but only this one time)
2. attempt with LeeDroid as expected...
With Virtuous 0.1.1 as expected
that's not possible...

Installed and my volume in my speaker is so low I couldnt by tell if the phone connected . Also using a bluetooth headset it has static. Uninstalled back to normal volumes and headset works .love the software hope there is a fix for this.
Are you sure its an error? Because there may have been software responsible for your volume that was updated or not originally present in the original rom...
Even when using it on the first slot setup it had no volume and that was untouched before and after the install
Please do the following:
install app
clone profile
switch profile
send logs - be sure to mention your xda name in the description!
Thanks in advance.
Problem fixed with reinstall now works as advertised.
I reinstalled the most rebooted before anything else. Created clone booted into it and all is good very nice setup already bought key and rolling 3 profiles
Thanks, enjoy!

For me IRS great thx.
Thats great. Enjoy.
1.5.3.8
Fixed issue switching profiles (One X and others)
Fixed rare crash on adding/ removing profiles
Fixed many device specific issues from user logs
I can confirm it works brilliant.
I'm using free version which is at the moment sufficient. One profile is for me, office apps, various productivity apps.. anything I'd use. The other profile is for my 3 yo kid full of games appropriate to his age, and no connectivity, just to make sure no accidental purchases are made.
Thanks to developers for this wonderful app.
The best thanks is a nice review on the market.

... which I have also left
Hello together,
I`m writing currently my master thesis with the topic "Context Simulator For Mobile Business Application". The goal is, to test how an Android application reacts during changing context conditions: How reacts an application, if the battery is almost empty? How reacts an application, if internet connection breaks down during data transmission? How reacts an application, if a SD-Card is available/not available? ...
I want to simulate all of these factors on the PC and send the data to my android device. Some more examples:
- Simulating sensor data for accelerometer, gyroscope, ...
- GPS
- Camera and microphone (if an application requests a camera image, it should receive a image from my simulator)
- Fake connection for Wi-Fi, HDSPA, EDGE
- Fake time, time zone and date
- Simulate a specific battery level
- Fake calendar entries
------------------ My approaches ------------------
No 1:
Extend an existing custom rom with my features => Some calls should not transfer to OS (example: GPS) but to my simulator on PC. Also send data (example: battery level) to android OS. For example to pretend a low battery level.
No 2:
Write my own sandbox application (I haven`t found information to this topic so far). In this sandbox application, I`m going to start my application to test. So it is possible, to fetch all request from this System under test and I can decide if I want to transfer them to Android OS or to my simulator.
No 3:
Develop my own library, which will be included from my system under test. This library extends some android classes (e.g. Activity, Location Manager, Sensor Manager). My extensions classes will transmit the request to my simulator instead to the OS.
I`m afraid, I only have limited functionalities when I`m using this approach.
No 4:
Take sensor simulator from open intents as basic and extend it as good as possible.
-------- About Me --------
I only have few experience in Android development, but a lot experience in Java development. I know, I should read now a lot about custom roms, ... Unfortunately this thesis should be finish at the end of march.
------- What I want from you -------
Advice. I hope you understand my problem. Which is the best way to realize this project? I would like to have as much functionalities as possible. My prototype doesn`t need to support all context factors, but I should consider all factors in my system design.
I wanted to attached two graphics, but unfortunately I`m not allowed to. These are two possibilities and I`m not sure, which one is better (and also, if they are possible):

I support users of various Android devices (mostly Samsung tablets, 5.1/6.0) and we frequently encounter reports of app behavior that is not (easily) reproducible-- crashes, freezes, etc-- and because we only get these reports after the fact, or cannot remote in the moment using Mobicontrol due to state of the device or poor connectivity, we can only attempt to surmise what might have happened instead of knowing for certain what did. Logcat files don't really help us because we cannot connect via adb for geographically distant users, and we need to have such a session running to capture the condition but we cannot know in advance when it might occur. Furthermore, these users are not technically proficient in the least so we cannot rely on their information or trust that they can reliably follow directions beyond simple point and click interface elements.
Root is not an option for us so whatever tool or method might be recommended must meet the following criteria:
-Run unattended, but can be scheduled start/stop
-Should impact system resources minimally so it doesn't possibly contribute to performance issues
-Should keep a rolling log of CPU. RAM, events, etc that is automatically purged to avoid buildup of unnecessary logs, say 24 hours, or configurable interval
-Ideally would email log, with user description/annotation, to preconfigured recipient list upon command from local or remote user when app performance warrants
-License would need to permit us to deploy on "suspect" devices via apk push via Mobicontrol package rules, not Play store, for between 5 and 10 devices as needed
I am hoping to find what the offending app(s) are, under what specific conditions the users experience the interruptions to their work, and what the actual experiences are-- is slow performance being experienced as a freeze? Is an app trying to connect to a network when none is available? Etc. Again, we can't rely on our users to accurately assess and describe what led up to the crash or freeze and unless we are connected via Mobicontrol when it happens we cannot get the details later without such a tool as described above.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, thank you
Matt
No ideas? Bump
Hoping that someone may have recommendations, we can really use the help. Thanks.
