I found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/TINY-TIE-CL...quipment_ET&hash=item3f1772ae7e#ht_1476wt_978
which is supposed to connect to as a smartphone and work as an external mic. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried something like this on i717.
Also , what kind of camera app should I use in order to enable recording from this mic ?
By itself, it will not. It is using the connections that the headphones would use. Most likely it would play sounds and not record them. You would need to find an adapter.
Please help, dont have access to equalizer in Music Player!
Some of the options don't work without the HiFi Plus.
You can, however, install DSPManager and use that instead. Enable 3rd party apk installs and download the APK from this post and install it:

Strange...I recall seeing en equalizer, but for some reason I can't find it now
I probably will never use the DAC feature as i never use wired anything anymore. I have a pair of Bob Marley headphones and a 2014 Kia soul that I use with the v30. This phone seems to put out no bass at all so I tried to get my Bass Booster Pro app that has been working for the last five years for my bass needs and it wouldn't mod any sound. I went around from site to site getting several recommended bass boosting equalizers but not a single one works(oddly). My previous phone the LG G5 didn't have this problem. I am on pandora a lot and cannot find anything to use with it. I use jetaudio for my mp3s and the effects through it are the only ones that I can hear a difference. But when I increase the bass at all it gets distortion from hell. Bass is actually a stress reliever for me and am trying to figure out what I can salvage with this phone or would it be better to just return it?

i was trying to get another eq to work but none seem to work. Base Booster Pro doesn't even work like it has for the last 5 phones.
i tried a lot still miss viper or dolby but noozxoide eizo-rewire works pretty well with pandora over blutooth. free on the playstore uninstall any other eq apps first

is noozxoide still working fine for you? I've been experiencing random crashes recently
No, I couldn't get it to work. Seems that the DC is overriding all equalizers even when DC is off. I contacted LG about it but all I was sent in response was how to turn DAC on and I already know how to turn it on and off.

it's a bloody shame that the devs stopped supporting the app, I've used and loved it since 2013

Alright, so at least for my case, I uninstalled Noozoxoide, turned my phone off+wipe cache, and changed the app settings for my native audio-processing app so that it is denied notifications, permissions, removed its default status, and cannot change system settings. After that I reinstalled Noozoxoide and launched it. Interestingly, when I went to settings I saw it was already set as a default app. Just to be certain I went ahead and gave it all the permissions also excluded it from battery optimization. Currently, when playing audio, Noozoxoide is listed under running services (in developer options) as "in use" and "started by application". The native app doesn't show up at all, having apparently been excluded from being used. So far Noozoxoide hasn't had any problems with crashing or being taken over by the native app.

So what app exactly did you deny notifications, permissions, and remove its default status? The native audio-processing app on my device (Verizon V30) is the Hi-Fi Quad DAC. Can't find an app associated with it anywhere...

simply switching it off doesn't work? can you find it under your system apps in your app manager? It might not be listed as "Hi-Fi Quad DAC" word-for-word.
Hello,
I have a Verizon Galaxy note 3 with TWRP and Dirty Unicorns v9.8 ROM and a LG stereo Bluetooth headset. When I try to use OK Google through the phones mic to "play Daft Punk derezzed" it opens it in YouTube music because that's what I have set as my default music player. However if I use OK Google through the Bluetooth headsets mic to "play Daft Punk derezzed" it's seems to forget what the default app is. I say this because first it tried using Audible, then after I uninstalled audible it dried using Plex, and after I uninstalled Plex it tried using Apollo. I've tried lots of different things to try to change the default apps in different ways, but that doesn't seem to do anything. Changing ROMs is not really an option for me right now. So any help you can give would be appreciated.
Thank you,
There is now a possibility, if you use Viper4android, the dac to turn on, but then you do not have the funny default settings lg offers, but you can set the dac via viper with

Huh? I use ViPER4Android and also the "Hi-Fi Quad DAC" and I see all controls as separate. I don't get where you're saying that you can do anything specific to the DAC from V4A. Please explain. I wish LG offered more configuration options for the DAC however. It seems like there should be plugins for it? I saw something in the LG store where you could purchase other "Hi-Fi" stuff for it but I'm not clear what you're getting there.
