so ive being trying to fix my issue for several hours now and nothing works.
I tried to flash AW 2.0 which caused the bootloop. i've tried everything you can imagine now - flashing stock with the utility tool by tomsgt, cookeys' modified tool as well flashing one of the customs roms to no avail. I'm at a bit of a loss. stock recovery wont work so i have twrp 3.0.0.0 installed. all i can use is fastboot and nothing else.
is there anything else i can try?

I flashed the engineering bootloader and got my Note 3 rooted. I then flashed TWRP recovery but anytime I try to boot into recovery I get a Kernel panic error. Has anyone else had this and been able to fix it. I have tried reflashing the recovery multiple times and flashing the bootloader again but I still get the error.
The phone boots into normal mode without a problem though.

I had a similar issue. I had to go get the 4.4 testing version of TWRP
Here is a link to a thread that includes it...Step 3

Thanks that version worked perfect. I had tried so many before that I am glad you responded.
I had the same problem but I just reflashed everything and worked fine, only did the 4.4 twrp yesterday.

Dear fellow Android diggers,
I have encountered the strangest thing so far since i'm flashing custom roms. so i had flashed OwnRom with cwm 6.0.3 and it all went good until one day it crashed so bad that it got stuck at logo on startup. finally i have managed to enter recovery, but it gave the infamous "can't mount" errors: cache/recovery/command, and /log as well. i have tried to format every possible partitions, but it doesn't finish, it says that can' mount or open some partitions. i have also tried to flash a new and a different recovery as well, without success, it is still the same recovery. i yave even trie to flash a new recovery with fastboot, which said it was successful, but still nthe same recovery. i have also tried to flash different firmwares after wiping, including ownrom, other ones as well and still stuck at the lg logo. i have also tried to flash the original fw with different lg flashing tools, but they all gave errors. so now i'm out of options and holding a practically working but useless phone in my hands and i'd like to find some way to make it work. any help will be much appreciated. cheers
Hi, I can't seem to get rid of cyanogenmod recovery.
I want to flash twrp after I installed official cm12.1 build, I think it was 20160405.
And it doesnt let me, I've done this couple of times before, now I fail.
Tried it via the twrp app, gives me error.
tried it via commandline, it transfers twrp.img to .../fotakernel and nothing happens, still old recovery.
tried flashing xzdualrecovery from pc, still no luck.
anybody have any ideas what i might be wrong? Maybe I'm just missing something and I'll say "Oooooooh, that!" later.
You can use the new bootloader. When you flash a recovry to the new bootloader it stays and doesnt change after every new flash. http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/development/twrp-recovery-2-8-7-0-2016-02-03-t3307043 read this thread it has everything you need.
So I recently tried to unroot my device with flashing official ROM on it. Apparently I used the wrong file because my phone got bricked. I tried using XiaoMiTool by Francesco but it didn't help. I spent a lot of time trying to fix it so ill post what worked for me. I downloaded a lot of ROMS but none of them worked for me there was either flash error or device mismatching and I couldn't find right flash official software anywhere. I downloaded another ADB fixing program which worked, I downloaded Szaki/XiaomiADB fastboot tools which worked perfectly. I simply connected my phone searched for my phone code name (tucana) downloaded ROM from there, wiped all data off and finally flashed OS on my device. I also have a question, are there any android software fixing programs for phone repair companies or something similar?
Have good day and stay healthy,

id suggest to unbrick with mi flash tool.
I did that always when i was stuck on something, it ofcourse removes your data but saves the device so its still the profit probably... After succesfull rom installation you can flash again.
Also you do this in fastboot mode
When I was stuck in the same way the solution I found was to flash whatever rom then when the phone bootloops, go into recovery, and format data. Afterwards it will boot to startup screen and take forever to load up. Anyway that is my solution, before that I would have to flash stock recovery to boot for the first time then flash a custom recovery back.
Recently I installed Project Elixir 1.9, for some reason I decided to go to stock rom again, but I couldnt, first my TWRP was reboting all the time, I managed to solve it by installed another version, the problem now is that I cant install any rom, I mean not stock not custom rom because it is stuck on patching system image unconditionally, no matter what ROM i try to pacth, it always get stuck there and reboots TWRP, I've tried with many TWRP, Orange fox and PBRP, different versions of android and I cant do anything...
I even tried to unbrick it with flash tool and with other tools with no luck, anyone has the same problem? Anyone knows how to solve it and get back to custom rom?
As I mention I have access to TWRP and to fastboot, my device is RMX2170
Thanks a lot.
