Hi.
I have a Redmi (HM 1W). But I just can't seem to root it.
There is a Security application that has an option to enable root, but it is grayed out: i.imgur.com / zkMqNyZ.png
I tried to install TWRP. No success. Root Checker says it is not yet rooted.
Please help. Any suggestions are welcome
Thanks!

Hi,
if somebody want fast root for this device, just flast developers version of xiaomi global rom. It has build-in (quasi)root: it works like normal root, but with some lilmitations, for example cant flash new bootloader etc... but most apps which using root works perfectly...., for example to change DPI or titanium backup..
I have MTK 64GB version

download package again(7.2.16) and flash via updater. always keep a copy of zip file elsewhere because once you choose a package in updater app it start decrypting it and if will you will choose that exact zip file again it will show your given error. in that case use copy of that xip file again.

Thats wrong. Only this year I flashed the global developer through my stable updater app. Just make sure you use the latest build to avoid getting errors

I can't use Google camera on oppo realme
It is installing but not running
For running Gcam, the camera2api must be enabled. To do that, you need a rooted device. To root your device, you have to have your bootloader unlocked.
Right now, there's no support from Oppo/Realme regarding unlocking of bootloader.

What rom is best? Global? Eea? India? Ru?
I've heard before that EU roms have less bloatware, is the POCO X3 NFC EEA rom the EU rom in this case? (Sorry, not very knowledgeable on Miui as I usually boot custom roms on my older devices)

I would advise to stay on Global.
EEA got less ads / bloatware, but is updated late compared to Global, and since you can disable ads and debloat global, well, it seems more interesting.

Debloating the phone prevents OTA miui update to works correctly or I am supposed to download update zip and install it manually?

Debolating doesn't prevent OTA updates. I debloated everything and OTA worked fine.
