[V4A] Profile by NikosV - OP6 Speaker better quality + Apple Earpods - OnePlus 6 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have just made a Viper4Android Profile for Oneplus 6 Speaker to improve quality, instead of loudness. It also includes modifications for Apple Earpods to be more safe to use them at max volume and with way better bass.
Download: tiny.cc/nikosv

Check this if you using Apple earpods .

[Q] Improved webtop sound

Facts: The webtop has stereo speakers and sounds better at higher volume. The phone has better bass and sounds better at lower volume.
Questions: Is there any hack to the system that joins both outputs to make it a 3 way speaker set? Would it be hard to be developed?
well that's a really nice idea, hope that someone else read this and help us

Best headset for Xperia Z2

Hey guys
Last week I had lost my xb90
So now I am looking around for a new headset i found these three
1- Sony MDR-NC31
2- Sony MDR-NC750
3- Sony Xba-a1ap
I had never try the Digital Noise Canceling headset so i am just confused about them..
Can anyone tell me that there is any difference in terms of sound quality between Sony NC31 and NC750..
Specially after updating to (MM 6.0) because Sony clams that NC750 will support Hi-Res audio..
Please reply
Thanks..

i've heard the nc31 doesn't have that good bass. which you probably love seeing you had xb90. it's why i bought another extra bass earphone instead of the noise cancelling ones. the reviews said NC works like magic but the bass is low

i'm using mdr-xb50ap. it's amazing. xtra bass but also a good amount of treble if and when needed. you can certainly get better ones with the budget of noise cancelling earphones. i wasn't sure about them so i settled for this and i'm quite happy. and sorry i took quite a while to respond.

I'll recommend MDR-XB70AP (INR 2500/-) ebay offer price.
@ present i'm using SONY XBA-A1AP (INR 6500/-) bought from ebay.
I got the SOUNDMAGIC E50 which are amazing looking and it`s an amazing feeling with that memory foam technology for a better feeling and more clearance and a better bass. a must have is the BASSULTIMATE v10 +beta33 SOUNDMOD for the Z2 MM! MUCH BETTER HEADPHONE EXPERIENCE WITHOUT ANY CRACKLING
I have used
SoundMagic ES18
Sennheiser cx180
and now Sony MDR-XB50AP.
I've used:
-Sennheiser Cx300-II Precision.
-Sony MDR NC31EM.
-Sennheiser MM30g.
-JBL T100A.
-HTC Black In-Ear.
-HTC Max 300.
-Sony MDR NC750.
-JBL T280A.
If you want good bass; I'd recommend Cx300-II;
if you want good mids; I'd recommend T280A;
if you want good upper tones; I'd recomment T280A;
However, if you want to listen your music the better, louder, richer, clearer way; then you need an HTC One M8 or another upper HTC device with the black In-Ear HTC earphones. Sony is really bad at audio quality.
As for the NC31EM and NC750M, the so called "noise cancelling" cancels the noice by making some "hiss" sound at a very low decibel so your ears think it doesn't hear anything from the outer world.
However, any of the JBL or Sennheiser in-ear phones have better noice cancelling than these headsets. Their microphones are on the ear sides, so the call quality is terrible.
As for the music, they don't give anything promising in their price-range, they're just "SONY" .
The mids are very loud, I mean VERY loud, compared to upper and lower tones, they just eat your ear on high volumes, even without modding volume levels.
So you'll be wasting your money if you buy one of these.

Wait, what? The Sony's are amazing at audio quality, I should know, I have an Xperia Z2. HTC's skewer the audio towards more bass, heck too much bass, they ruin the mids and highs completely. It was worse when they had the Beats Audio tech, but it was improved with the M9, I can only speak on audio of the M9 because that's what I had experience with.
I played 'With Love' album, some Above & Beyond, a couple of songs from Monstercat, and some Frank Ocean, and the HTC's boosted the bass way too much on all of them and squashed the Mids and Highs. The Xperia by comparison was more accurate, it did put less bass than the HTC, but didn't squash the highs and mids to get there. Granted, the HTC did sound louder and the Xperia was quieter in comparison, (used with Sol Republic Tracks V8, LG Tonepro HBS 760 and Samsung Level Active Bluetooth In-earphones. Heck, I even used a Logitech G230 Gaming Headset.) but in terms of how the songs project I'd prefer the Xperia because they sound more real and not artificial. Also, the Xperias have SIGNIFICANTLY more granular tweaking with the audio quality.
My friend swears by her NC31EM used with Xperia Z3 Compact, they do block out almost all noise (except when screaming directly next to her) and the sound is well balanced and there's a good kick of bass...
I'm using xiaomi hybrid, good sound quality per price but when I turn on fm radio all I hear is headset's microphone sound... ?

Redmi Note 4 (Snapdragon) Audio quality?

What do you think about the RN4(SD) audio quality? Bass? How clear is it? Is it loud? Ty for answers!
It's above average
It's loud enough for music and gaming....
Though sometimes you can block the audio from the speaker while gaming or watching movie....

Sound quality of Rn4 [SD] is awesome. You'll get some pre-defined sound settings to set according to your headphone or ear phone. I've tested my Samsung earphone with standard setting and the output was awesome.

Hi I am Rupesh from India and I am searching for best android phone for music and found redmi note 4.
Previously I have used redmi h1s and the sound quality was very poor I mean the sound from external speakers and headphones was very low and so can I think note 4 also does the same.
What does Rn4 [SD] mean because you're saying that Rn4 [SD] provides highest sound quality but I am going to buy redmi note 4 with snap Dragon processor. Does both the products are same.

Yes. "SD" stands for Snapdragon.
SD here, quality of the speaker is below average in my honest opinion in 2017, it is somewhat loud but quality is not good and forget bass. In headphones is the worst I remember using, there are some settings you can tweak to get a better sound quality but nothing major. If you want to get a phone for its audio capabilities don't get this one. Get a Htc or even a samsung...
For the first time I am hearing that redmi note 4 doesn't provide high quality sound. You have suggested that there are some tweaks and settings for obtaining high quality sound and so please suggest those settings or tweaks or atleast link which describes those.
I heard about sound mods like Dolby digital plus etc., which maximize sound quality and so please suggest about those. I also heard the term rockbox and so please suggest about it. Is it possible to install at a time two to three sound mods at a time.
Can you suggest best soundmods for redmi note 4.
I don't have used cheap devices before, this is my first cheap phone I buy New, my other phones were EX-flagship Used phones, I've had HTC, Sony, LG. And the quality of audio is way better on those phones. As of tweaks I'm talking about those build in inside on the settings of miui 8.
Install Viper audio and you're golden. My Note 4X has amazing sound via headphones with VIPER

S20 included akg earphones vs buds+

Hi - So my S20+ had an included the buds+ as freebie, before this I've never owned any of these "truly wireless" buds. My last bluetooth earphones was a Samsung level U (free from S7 edge). So my question, are these "truly wireless" type earphones really horrendous in terms of sound quality? Would the airpods pro/non-pro or other higher end buds come close to the free akg ones? Or all of these buds are really on a separate low class of there own?
If I have to arrange my earphones in order of sound quality and put spaces/underscores to emphasize the difference
free akg (from S20) ______ Level U __ some old $20 sennheiser earphones i have ___________________________________________________________ buds+
** To audiophiles and other sound enthusiasts, I know all of these are garbage tier in the earphone/headset universe. **

Both is good. Not the best out there but it's not bad.
S20 comes with adapt sound.. Personalize it and create profile for buds+ and akg Wired earphone. If tweaked properly both sounds great.

Love the earbuds +, lovely quality sound on them and you can tweak certain things using the Samsung Wearables app.
I can also adjust things via the Poweramp app which is my default music player.
I got the Buds+ as part of my pre-order, so in anticipation of these arriving i sold the Huawei Freebuds 2 Pro that i had (and loved). Regretted it the moment the Buds+ landed and tested them. No-where near as good as advertised.
Bass quality was poor, wouldn't stay in my ears, and found them uncomfortable. I have since sold the Buds, and bought a set of Huawei Freebuds 3 to replace them. Much happier

Yeah I agree bass is bad. But i do love the feature to allow outside noise to enter the earbud. Makes it very useful in airports so u can hear announcements.
Before that I was on wired nakamichi NEP-MV18, it's a dual driver earphone with very very very good sound quality. Now seeing s20 don't have headphone jack in using that only on my pc.

Buds+ are, in fact, one of the best wireless headphones you can buy.
See some measurements: https://www.rtings.com/headphones/t...-wf-1000xm3/1791/917?usage=9287&threshold=0.1

Measurements mean nothing when it comes to the true user experience. I found them to lack audio quality where it matters. The Freebuds3 i'm now using are far better.
Of course measurements are important ****ty headphones never measure well... I'm using myself €1,100 headphones, custom made Harmony 8.2 in-ears from Custom Art, with 8 drivers in each enclosure, but Buds+ are very decent as well, using them for sport, and measurements prove it.

I don't need measurements to hear what is good or not. To me, the Buds+ were crap, not as advertised, so i got rid of them.
Depends what you prefer...
Measurements will show you headphones are or aren't able to play whole spectrum, from 50Hz to 20kHz, with no dips and spikes.
But you might prefer emphasized mids or bass, not precise sound (e.g.)

Different ppl have different needs.
When I was younger, my car ice was tuned to emphasize on bass.. And those gigantic passive subwoofers and amplifiers..
My amps only power the subwoofers and not the speakers.
Now, I have a active subwoofer, a way better set of speakers and tweeters.. And amps connected to speakers and tuned differently.
Buds+ might be good for some, not so good for others.

IMHO, I find the Buds+ very good, AFTER setting up a good equalizer, not the wear app one.
My music player (Stellio) has a great one, so I can enjoy a really good sound.
But I think they can't be sound lovers usable when out-of-the-box...

I would recommend you give this a try. Adapt sound from the phones sound settings.
Just by this itself the sound quality improved a lot. Then adjust the equalizer of your music player to make it even better.

It's not settings at all, just run the Adapt sound process in a quiet environnement with your buds on and it will define it all by itself.

Here you go. But yes you'll need to set it up. Go to a quiet place, it will play several tones at different frequency and adjust it accordingly.
I've set up a profile for buds+ and a different profile for my in car entertaiment unit.
And yes dolby is switched on for both.
The Samsung equalizers don't come close to the Poweramp equalizer.
If you're using the Buds you'll want to use Poweramp to dail them in.
I didn't like the wired AKG's that came with my 10+ at all.
can you post your settings for poweramp equalizer, also used buds + sounds great but i just increase everything in adapt sound profile.

Try to avoid using 2 equalizers as it can add a lot of distortion. Poweramp has an excellent equalizer.
I sometimes "boost" my Poweramp EQ with the Wearables one, setting it to dynamic depending on the song. The Wearables EQ by itself though doesn't cut it.
The Buds and Buds+ have different EQ controls and aren't interchangeable. Both lack low end bass.
EQ settings are very individual and based on your unique hearing perception and preferences.
Generally though for the Buds, jack up the lower bass range especially the last sliders.
Try to make a linear transition across the sliders to form a smooth curve; abrupt heavy one band settings can lead to poorer quality sound. Center the curve starting from 0 db ie don't jack all bands beyond O db.
Turn on the limiter function to avoid clipping especially with the low bass.
This is one of my profiles for the Buds+
My thoughts. The galaxy buds+ are one of the best wireless buds available at its price point, comparable to the airpods pro. Each has there positives and negatives, if you run android tho, its an easy choice. I've tried both on both hardware (S20, i11 pro) and I personally prefer the buds+, but to each there own.
That being said.. the included AKG headphones are AMAZING, and for being included in the box, in my books beat out both... well because they're free. In my usage they also offer deeper lows and more tru mids. No matter which type of wireless ear buds I try, those are 2 things always missing.
Audio though is extremely subjective, so what I think is great, you and others may think is trash. Just dont go with airpods, you WILL be disappointed.

Audio quality headphone jack?

Hello,
I am still using old (but quality) headphones, so I am very interested in the quality of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Has anybody tested this? Are there any reviews that cover that topic? Good analog audio quality is really important to me, so what are your experiences? Thank you!
Its pretty good.
