So I wanted to root my Lenovo Tab 4 10 and went on to installing the TWRP Recovery.
All went fine but I had the problem that the recovery was replaced by stock every time I boot into system.
And also TWRP showed my internal Storage 0MB.
I couldn't flash SuperSU zip cause TWRP gave the error Failed to mount '/data' (No such process).
So I tried factory reset but it gave me the same error.
So then I tried Format Data and it worked and now it was showing my internal storage at 8912MB.
Now I factory reset and booted to system but it is stuck at the Lenovo Logo. (Waited for 20mins)
Again when I booted back into TWRP it was not able to mount my internal storage and it was 0 MB.
In TWRP I Formatted data again and Did a Factory Reset and then Flashed The SuperSU zip but still stuck at Lenovo Boot Logo.
Can anyone help my please.
Thx.
Edit: I have a backup of System and Boot. Tried restoring it. Restore was successful but still stuck at boot logo.
I fixed it anyways.
After a loooooot of trial and error.
I booted through the original recovery and did a factory reset and then Android booted fine.
And I realized that TWRP is not supported on Android 8.1 on my tab due to Storage decryption issues. So flashing 7.1.1 stock ROM soon.

I've tried to flash my rom to CM7 but something went wrong with the procedure because I am stuck on the android boot screen (Android logo lightning, it gets stuck for a while and then the letters continue flashing, cycling).
I followed the normal procedure: root, installed custom recovery, I made a backup with nandroid (normal one, which I copied to my computer), wiped data+cache (both caches) and I tried to flash from SD. Update went as normal but I got stuck in this boot screen.
After trying 2 or 3 times this same procedure and being unable to move on, I tried to recover my backup using nandroid: it said it was unable to recover and to do it from adb; adb says that it's unable to mount my sdcard.
From what I've read, I would need to repartition my card.. I chose that option in the recovery; still unable to recover my backup.
I figured that it would not be too bad if I lost my data, so after giving up on CM7 I gave up on recovering my data as well.. the problem is that even after wiping data and cache I'm still stuck in this same boot screen.
Any idea?
I can access recovery and adb so this has to have a solution..
I managed to boot after formatting /system.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, P6200.
ROM: CM9.
Started with the device rebooting every time I tried to do nandroid backup when it got to backing up /data. I attempted to factory reset but then CWM (6.0.1.0) just hanged at formatting /data.
Then I attempted to do factory reset from the ROM (CM9). The device got stuck in a bootloop of trying to format /data and just hanging there. The device kept turning itself back on when turned off to go into this ridiculous loop.
Is my on-board sdcard fried or something? Anything I can do?
UPDATE: Fixed it, I hope. . . Ran f2sck from recovery on mmcblk0p10, needed three rounds before all the errors were gone. Then could successfully do factory reset and reinstall ROM. Restoring from backups now, hopefully nothing borks again,
try to get back to the stock rom via odin it will overwrite the data partition and of course the recovery image so ure back to 0 than and are able to continue what u wanted to do
I own the Nexus 9 (Wi-fi model) and am running Android 6.0 MRA58N, rooted with the TWRP recovery. I wanted to to update to android 6.0.1 so downloaded the latest factory image (MMB29R) from Google's website. I rebooted to TWRP so I could flash the new image. When I realized that you cannot flash system.img through TWRP I had already flashed the boot.img. I attempted to reboot only to get stuck in a bootloop. "Luckily me" I had taken a backup through TWRP previously (boot, data and system). So I went again in TWRP, factory reset and restored (successfully as per the message) the backup. Now every time I boot I see Google's logo, then the "Your device is corrupt" message, that I'm seeing since I installed TWRP (it doesn't seem to affect anything) and then a blank screen that goes on forever.
I had this backup moved to my hard drive and the moved it back to my device. Tried the "fix permissions" option in TWRP as well. No go.
Any suggestions?
I managed to fix it by installing the system, cache, boot and vendor partitions from the new build and the data partition from my nandroid backup.
same happen to me yesterday..what i did is,reboot into fastboot.and then flash vendor, system, boot, cache and also recovery..i have twrp install, but it show 0mb on internal storage.flash stock recovery fix that problem..and after that i flash twrp, supersu and elementalx again..it fix my problem

hello. i was going to install resurrection remix 6.0.1 rom on crater. i have installed lastest version from twrp official website on device list page. it was 2.8 as i remember.
i have moved files on sdcard and plugged to phone and wrote imei numbers on a notepad
EVERYTHING IS OK UNTIL HERE.
i rebooted to twrp. touched wipe and swiped to wipe
it was successfull. then i clicked format data, wrote yes and entered.
IT TOOK TOO LONG TIME.
i have forced to reboot by pulling put the battery
then i plugged it back, rebooted to recovery mode.
mounting of efs, preboot, system, dalvik, cache and data partitions were failed.
i tried to repair these partitions by formatting as fat, exfat, ext3 and ext4 filesystems. it didnt work.
i have downloaded orginal firmware from sammobile. when i try to flash it stucks on system image and there is an emmc version unknown warning
when i try to reboot to twrp, i see its logo. it stays for 1 min and screen goes to fully black.
THE THINGS WORK:
download mode. but doesnt flash system image, only recovery and pit file
THE THINGS DOESNT WORK BUT WEIRD:
can boot into twrp but it doesnt launch after twrp logo
I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP. THANKS for READING.
Hello. I was using recently official LegionOS. I wanted to try Havoc so i've flashed it using OrangeFox Recovery. The device didn't boot, got stuck on Xiaomi logo, vibrated and rebooted to recovery. I tought it was maybe faulty file so i've flashed other rom that I was using before - Fluid. Same result here, I tried now to restore my backup (all partitions without internal) with EvolutionX. Still nothing, phone has rebooted to recovery and I saw that all files have been encrypted. Now i can't do anything other than full wipe. Is there any option to rescue these files from internal storage? I've tried TWRP but it didn't help.
