my girlfriend has this phone and sometimes has problems with the calls. The person who picks up the phone didn't listen.
After a restart the phone usually functions fine, but sometimes it happens again.
She tried to put the SIM in the other slot but the problem persists. The SIM is totally new.
One person from one store said that this brand of phones usually has this SIM card issues.
Anyone has it too?

Well the last few days a noticed a very strange problemw with my phone.I ahve a contract with vodafone. For a week i put my sim card in my phone and everything worked fine. But know there is a crazy, strange thing happening. The phone show signal 2-3 bars in my house, shows the name of the provider but i cannot doreceive calls neither messages! When i leave the house and go somewhere else everything works fine.Well at first i thought it was a sim card problem so i changed device in order to check the sim, but the sim works great with my previous phone (htc diamond). Then i inserted another sim card from a different provider and it works fine even in mt house. That's crazyyyyy!!!
Has anyone xperienced same problems?
I am thinking to call lg service tommorw morning!
So I stuck a new SIM card in my phone this morning to test a hypothesis about battery drain, but I'm thinking my new SIM is totally jacked up. It only connects to 3G, and that drops frequently. If I try to make calls, it says "Network is Busy," while sending SMSs fail.
My old SIM is/was fine, but I'm curious as to why a new SIM would be bad out of the box. It's not like I have to activate it or something, unless it just needs time to provision? It's been so long since I used a new SIM that I don't remember. Also, did I screw myself, in that my old SIM won't work anymore now that I've used a new one?
I complained to Sony that I can't hear other people well during a call, and the other party can't hear me well. They said to take out the SIM card and try it in another phone to verify if the problem is with the phone or the service provider. My old phone is SIM card locked so I can't do this. Any suggestions? Perhaps I should by a Bluetooth and test it that way, would that make sense? For example could it be that call volume is fine with the bluetooth but it still is actually a problem with the phone not the service provider.
If it's a problem with the Sim, I believe it would also be a problem via Bluetooth. Only way to know for sure is to try it on another z2. Having said that, I doubt it's the Sim card (carrier) because a different phone will have different call quality.
Hey everyone,
I'm giving away my LG G5 to a family member as her other phone broke. My G5 had a custom rom and had been modified alot but i took it back to complete stock now, everything works fine but the sim card. When inserting my family member sim card it comes up as sim card has been removed which is really weird yet it will show that it has reception on the phone and shows me 4 Bars but cannot make ANY CALLS or TEXTS because the phone thinks that there is no sim card there. Now here is the super weird bit, when I insert my Sim card in the phone it works just fine without a problem I can send texts, calls and go on the internet, I tested this for an hour max to see if it was going to happen with my sim but it never happened no error message? This is a really weird problem with my G5 I never had come across any problems like this before why is it happening now?
I need to get to the bottom of this problem. Does anyone had or have similar problems like this?
Thanks :good:
??
HI. Maybe the SIM contacts in G5 got loose, have you tried putting another SIM to check?

Hey! I put my Sim card in the G5 and it works fine but doesn't work for her sim card. I tried everything but nothing is working.
Hi all.
I've had my mi8 lite global for a few weeks now.
It's been great, seems to do all I need and more.
But, I've more recently been having an issue with it dropping my Sim card.
I can be using it or sitting standby and it'll suddenly flash to the lock screen and and show no Sim card found in the notification area.
Sometimes it can go a decent length of time with no issue (couple of days) while other times it'll repeatedly do it in one session.
Rebooting the phone brings it back to normal each time.
I've also tried putting my Sim in slot two and it doesn't read it all.
And another issue I have is my alarm failing, twice now.
No notification or anything. Just didn't go off.
Not sure if it's related or not.
Thanks!
I've sorted the alarm issue.
I allowed the clock to auto start.
But any tips or advice on how to sort and solve the SIM card issue?
Maybe it's the simcard itself try to test with another one
Don't have another SIM card. I can order one though.
It's also a new SIM card.
Where it's irregular, makes it difficult to prove where the issue is.
I can put my sim in an old phone but it's a faulty phone.
Does android save these kind of things to a log?
