I take no credit for this whatsoever. A lot of folks over on the ZTE forum were asking about installing the Google Contacts and Phone from the Pixel and so I poked around and found this Moto X Play thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/themes-apps/google-pixel-dialer-t3477633
I downloaded and flashed the zip via TWRP and so far everything seems fine.
Awesome! Works perfectly thank you for sharing. This plus pixel launcher and pixel bootanimation looks great :good:

I've been using the Nexus version of the Google dialer for the past couple months, it was this way too.... I flashed this Pixel dialer today, it did update (I compared version numbers) and it's still this way. So, I think this is "normal".
Just downloaded both and only the phone apk would install. Also might have found a bug or some type issue trying to open the Quick Replies tab in the Settings. Took a screen shot

What I linked to was a flashable zip, not individual APKs. I think the error you're getting is expected if you just try to install them via APK.

Short answer is no.
Anyone notice any battery drain after flashing this?
I love this. It makes me feel at home coming from a n6. I don't notice any battery drain. But I have not done any gsam or battery checking...
Disregard turned out to be caused by something else
Has anyone installed this on the Axon and have an issue regarding dual sim?
Google Contacts 1.6.15 can be installed over the ZIP and it works fine.

Without the availability or customs roms and kernels, are there any reasons to root a Galaxy Tab S3? Which bloatware have you uninstalled in your GTS3 after rooting?
I normally install custom roms and kernels for the improved battery life and overall performance improvement that many of these roms offer.

I agree, I went back to not rooted and pray for OTA updates, even it's naive
If i ever going to root, one of the main factor would be for GMD gestures. Couple of finger swipes to close apps, lock screen, switch apps adds tremendous amount of button freedom and control.
I'm going to rooting to get complete control of memory (internal and SD) and app authorizations...

Mattered a lot more to me when Android was a lot less mature. Nowadays, Marshmallow is pretty solid. Add in Macrodroid or Tasker and call it a day. And Nova supports gestures.

Not with ADB. You'll need an app like titanium backup or adaway for ad blocking. But both need root. But you're correct, getting netflix to work is a little bit of a pita.

Another option: I'm using Disconnect Pro and it seems to work fine. It has to be sideloaded though.
I rooted my Tab S3 for 4 main reasons:
1. Adaway
2. Viper and Dolby Atmos and boost sound the way I like it (and its big imrovement)
3. OGyoutube
4. to backup and restore with TWRP and Titanium

Including the model# of your device is helpful to get proper direction.
If you have the SM-T820/825, this thread pertains to Root/Recovery (TWRP) for the devices I mentioned. If you have one of the devices, read the thread before asking questions:

According to glue gate and fact, that I wait for replace of my device, what do you think guys? What is better way - setting new device from scratch or use backup? I had this feeling, that setting from scratch is better way with all my Blackberry devices before. But it's really hours of work. Maybe not necessary?

I prefer setting up a new phone from scratch but restoring from a backup more likely than not won't cause any issues as long as you were experiencing no software or data related issues when the backup was made.

I set up my phone my missing the apps via the Huawei backup app from my previous Sony smartphone. Some apps were not visible in the memory management section of settings, and as a result I could not turn off automatic memory management.
After I uninstalled and reinstalled those apps they showed up properly and could be managed properly.
This behaviour suggests that some app can have issues if restored/migrated from another phone so a clean install seems to be safer.

When I got my first m20p, I restored from Google from an s9.i noticed some apps acting strange and not showing in the battery management settings.... Your post helps clarify why. On my second m20p I restored using Huaweis app on the computer. everything is showing as it should and apps aren't crashing like they did the first time.
I got tab s3 days ago. It ran android 9 but since it was so laggy I decided to go back to Oreo but it does not seem to help. It is even laggy when I pull down the status bar, like a phone with 2gb of ram in 2019. I tried a hard reset, revert back to Oreo and wipe /cache in default recovery but nothing helps. Any suggestions for me guys I don't know what's happening with my tablet. Plus that Knox counter has not been tripped yet, Antutu score is 136594 (I find it normal) and it's still water-resistant. Thank you
Yes, this tablet lags as hell. I sold it due to this problem
It's like that since the Pie update. I'm considering a rollback or perhaps a custom ROM if available. Some research must be done. Very disappointing. :/

Finally my tab s3 becomes snappier! but dont get me wrong lags still there but lessen a bit... stock andriod Pie.... wanna say thanks buddy! just bought this at amazon 3 days ago for $300.. dont know if ill exchange it for s4 add $200 but thats too much i think.
Interesting, my tab s3 lags a lot too. I originally got this for study (Paramedic school) and for jogging with. Hasn't quite worked out for me yet, but I'm hoping sai444's input will help here. Maybe a rollback too? Still have to research what Galaxy labs an d app booster are lol.
hmmmm, are you sure (as of Nov 2019) that this isn't just the built in device care? My device care says 100% optimised but I know that to be a bit false. Sure the device is relatively healthy but like this title suggests it behaves more like a device with 2GB. I guess a factory reset (again) and just limit the apps I use.
I installed Galaxy Labs from APK Mirror to my Tab S3 and then tried clicking on App Booster. It says the content is not compatible with my tablet. The same message is displayed when I tried the other options.
Anyone else encounter this?

What apps are considered bloatware??
Well, in TB you have the option to froze any app, if something is broken you can unfroze.
There are others apps that can do this too.
You can search for lists in the internet of bloatware in samsung devices, but you can start searching in the TB for samsung, then all the samsung stuff will be shown, then you can start freezing.
Freeze a few things(try to search what that package is) then restart. If something is wrong unfroze some, reboot and check.
It takes time.

Hey guys,
My phone is arriving in the next days, i haven't played with a samsung phone since the galaxy S2!
Anyway, it's time for a come back. I've been reading a lot about samsung phones and the current state of bloat, so, have any of you already debloated something?
My goal is to keep it very simple, not doing any hardcore debloats! I just want the usual suspects gone... like facebook, youtube and whatever thirdparty apps.
I found a list of apps safe to debloat from the S20 series, i wonder if its the same for S21.
Cheers! I can't wait to get my hands on it!
BTW, i was reading about the samsung KNOX, we still can't root the phone without breaking it forever, right?
You can likely use the s20 lists. Hope s21 havent much more bloatware... You cann first try to disable (most of them you can only siable via adb) them and look if everything is okay (reboot after disabling) and then uninstall if everything is fine(if not you can reenable them if disabled, if you deleted them you must wipe your phone) i do this everytime and then make a notepad list with uninstall adb commands and im good

Im not using this anymore... Till now ive paid a good 5 to 7 times for this app cause he deletes it and uploads it again....
So adb or nothing (this way you can delete them, but after wipe they are there again) but better than only disabling cause some disable apps will enable by themselfes again....
