A long time ago I used to have a Nokia phone and bought a "Car Kit" which consisted of a new battery cover with belt clip, a car mount, and the speakephone base which even though it plugged into the cigarette lighter it still had a mic wire which I had to router behind the dashboard, up around the window and out just above the rear view mirror. The quality of this thing was amazing, I could hear people loud and clear and they could hear me perfectly over the loud noise that I get when driving my pathfinder.. Background noise is the biggest complaint I get from people I talk to when using wired headsets or bluetooth earpieces. I'm wondering if anyone can reccomend a good Bluetooth speakerphone device that I can use in my car? I prefer the portable type but professional kits are fine too. I don't mind spending extra on it if it's going to work and work well. I tried that Motorla visor clip speakerphone and it was awful.
I've seen some devices from Parrot, Anycom, and Jabra.. Does anyoe here have any experience with their speakerphone products? Are they any good?

I've had good results with the Sony MEX-BT5000 headunit and my Wizard. In addition to speakerphone, it also supports A2DP. Sony just announced the next generation unit (MEX-BT2500) which should also perform well.

Thanks for the info. Actually, I'm looking for something that's standalone or integrates with an existing car stereo, I'm not looking to replace my headunit as I've already invested and installed one with a DVD player/GPS Navigation system built in. Thanks anyway though!

Sony HCB-100 visor clip unit is great, not sure about integrating with your stereo though. I have steering controls so its easy to mute the stereo when a call comes through
Hi Evry1. I am after an average quality bluetooth stereo headset for my HD. I love music and like to listen to my favourite tracks on the go (on the way to office and uni everyday & sometimes at home from my lappy). Ideally I would love to have amazing quality sound output but can't really be bothered to wear those chunky headsets that offer the sound quality to my satisfaction, so I decided to go for an average quality bluetooth headset for everyday use.
After going through some reviews I'm thinkin of buyin a motorola s9. I know it has issues with the buttons but I don't go to gym and don't get time for even light exercise, hence I have nothing to worry about, on that part. But, unfortunately, I can't seem to find any UK based dealer where I can get it from. Ideally I would prefer a shop where I can take the thing back if anything bad happens.
I would also like your opinion on my choice and if there is any other headset that you might suggest.
Cheers...
Doesn't anybody has anything to say?!
ah, here's my 3 cents...
Firstly, the new model is S9 HD...I considered that and some others and finally bought the Plantronics V855. I didn't need very good stereo music, and so the 855 is okay for me. At best, the call sounds are great. I didn't like wires and the 855 had just one simple wire that links to the other ear, unlike those like the SE DS980 (great stereo music).
The S9 HD (to me!) looked very out of place (aka awkward, ugly) on a person when worn - at least that what's I gather from seeing 2 persons wearing them on the streets.
Additionally, some reviews pointed to poor call voice sounds (ie. soft).
...it's really your preference in the end.
I think I'm gonna go with the DS980 then...
Dint get a bluetooth headset at the end, instead got a seenheiser CX 400-II headset... Mind blowing quality. glad that i made that choice...
Please let me know if anyone is using this with HTC TP2... it supports A2DP .. so i guess it will work with tp2 ... but i just want to confirm before buying it

Good luck.
hey dude.. is the effect and stuff's are good with this headset??... can you use em while you are traveeling in your motorcycle??...please check this post any such disturbances http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=652583 ??? please let me know...
You probably could use it when you ride your Motorcycle, although its really made for running, said from the designer of this bluetooth headset. It doesn't go straight into your ear but close enough where you hear the music and hear things surrounding you
The S9HD works perfectly with the TP2. I have both. I also ride a motorcycle, and would not recommend using them when riding. These are in ear phones that have a noise isolating effect reducing esxternal noise by some 20 - 30 dB, besides that not wearing a helmet so that you could listen to some tunes is also not a good idea... That's my 0.02...
I also have a pair of these and have no issues with the TP2. There are the occasional drop outs, especially when I go out doors. For the most part, they are good for listening to music and people that I am speaking to say I come across very clear.
As for riding a motorcycle, they will not fit under a helmet. If you are riding without a helmet, I doubt the silicone ear pieces will isolate so much noise that you wont be able to hear sirens, car horns or the like. But you will probably experience more dropouts than you'd like.
I'm wanting to get a Bluetooth headset that is decent and cheap. Nothing spectacular just something that doesn't echo and is ok quality. Anyone have any suggestions?

I don't know about cheap. I've always been under the impression that you really do get what you pay for. If you are looking for a good bluetooth ear piece, the Jawbones (though not cheap) are by far the best when it comes to functionality. IMHO it filters out wind and other background noise, keeps the sound and mic clear, and is a great piece of hardware. FYI, I worked witha cell phone recycling Co. for a while and was able to play with many devices, I was most impressed when comparing all products. On the other hand, if inexpensive is your goal (with good function) MOTO, good solid Product, not quite the tech advantage.

Bluetooth Headset
Hey there,
do u want a HEADSET, so that u can use it to make / recieve calls
or just bluetooth Headphone to listen to music?
I use this one
"Arctic P311"
since 1 year about 2-3- times a week for training / listening there musik / internet radio
sometimes during training i recieve calls and there it did work / no call partner said somthing about bad sound
/training is just inside - so i cannot tell u something about call quality outdoors.
Motorola S305 are pretty cheap, solid music and phone call sound as well. The other day I was biking and a friend called and was able to hear me fine even while riding at a medium pace.
I went for the LG HBS700 and am very happy with them.
I'm looking for the best 3 bluetooth headsets to talk on my Note 3. Something that can read emails, texts and process commands in French and English. I've a French accent and my friends and family have French names. It must have great battery and must be comfortable to wear and good range from the phone. Last it must have great noise cancelation and good audio for music and phone calls sound in public places. Thank you all.

I'm assuming you wanting a stereo Bluetooth headphones with mic, as you mentioned music.
I don't think there is a product out there that meets ALL you requirements.
Most Stereo headseat will suffer a bit in call quality as the mic location will be farther from you mouth. High quality BT mono headsets won't really satisfy with music. Seem your looking for the best of everything, and I don't believe it exist.
The linked BT device above my work for calls, but mono music is probably not what your looking for. I also assume you want something you can wear out in public and be a bit less conspicuous.
You going to have to compromise.
