Make sure you phone is turned off.
Press and hold the Volume Up and the Power keys for 10 seconds.
Once the Huawei logo appears, release both keys.
Use the Volume Down button to highlight ‘wipe cache partition’ option and press the Power key to choose it.

Wondering if there is a stock recovery mode for the P769. I know there's a recovery partition but I'm not sure if you can get an HBoot menu. I held down Power and Volume Down from a powered off state, but it simply displayed the LG logo, vibrated, and then powered off. I've also read that there is a button combination to do a Hard Reset. Anyways, I'm wondering if doing this
Code:
adb reboot recovery
would get an HBoot menu, simply turn off, or do a hard reset. Also, if that command gets to HBoot then what button combination can you do to get to it?

I think he means the stock recovery that comes with the phone, as for the button combination, I dunno. holding the down button while powering on the phone always sent me into safe mode.
I can get into recovery mode by holding Vol Up + Home + Power
The screen say that this mode is use in LG service center to backup data. When phone connect to computer it show 2 removable drive but cannot access it. No use for me.
If you want to reboot your phone just hold power button for 10 seconds it'll shutdown. Then you can power on again.
Edit: Shutdown by holding power button 10 seconds not 10 minutes.

I wonder what we can do at this special menu.....
saturnianalien: The L9 devices do not have the standard recovery menu like the HTC devices do(This is the recovery menu that looks like CWM).

So what does the recovery partition in the L9 do? If I rebooted into recovery with adb, where would that get me?

This does not work, holding volume down + Power get's you to fastboot mode.
No sense just copy and pasting some crap from a completely different handset and just confusing people.

For recovery press VOL+ and POWER button :good:
It's not VOL-
More simple
-choose update app
-three point in right corner
-reboot (recovery)
just press power, select reboot..while its rebooting(white circle progressing) press vol UP (vol+) until you see the MI logo...and wallah, you will be in recovery mode.....
...
Thanks a lot!
Power + Vol up. It's really work for me.

Wrong again!
You posted the same erroneous information on the 27th
Am I reviving a dead thread? Probably.
However, I just thought it would be worth saying that, in my case, pressing POWER + VOL UP (power first, followed by volume up) took me to the recently installed TWRP
I'm trying to ressuscitate my redmi note2 "prime" (whatever that means!...) and i begin to assume that one of the upgrades this "version" got is the recovery 2.01 which either with VOL+ ends in a menu were chinese variants and english are presented to choose and, after that choice shows 4 alternatives:
Reboot (into the old perverse, crippled system!) or i8nstal the update.zip and then produces a banner saying the file is CORRUPTED, so: BACK and then: Reboot or Power OFF and that's it!
Its not a question of volume up or down. It is a sarcastic form to deviate candidates to fly away
to freedom at last: to Cianogenmod! In my case: it is a way to convey the underlying message:
you bricked your rednote2? Fine! Live and learn -- now spare some money and buy another...
But if i am not able to ressuscitate it, instead of buy i'll bye, bye. Said.

Hello everyone!
I tryed to flash PACMAN rom to my Lenovo K5 (via this tuto : https://forum.xda-developers.com/vibe-k5/development/rom-pac-rom-6-mm-lenovo-vibe-k5-t3408483)
Completed to 100%, clicked to exit, but then, the phone won't boot anymore (no recovery, no fastboot, nothing)
I tried all the combinaiton of touch and connect it to PC but nothing
No device detected in devices manager, when i plug it to PC, juste the red LED. When i charge it, it's the same, just red LED
So i hear about the jumping the KCOLO or COLO with the GRND directly to the board. But i can't find these pin because no marking in the board
So, anyone can help me to boot it? or identify these KCOLO or COLO pin?
Here is a snap of the board (may be usefull)

I followed all the step of the post. It was done by 100% but now i think that it was not suitable for my model (a6020a41, some guy posted that it was ok for this model but with minor bug, so i think i was unlucky)

you should see "test mode" on bottom right of your screen. to turn off, replace "on" with "off" in the command. then you can see qualcomm hsusb in device manager. btw im electric.droid aswell
go to https://lenovomobilesupport.lenovo....s/a-series/a536-smartphone/downloads/DS101291 and download smart assistant program from there. in the flash tab rescue your device.
---------- Post added at 10:08 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 PM ----------
btw can you try vol-up + power (release only power bttn after screen turns on)? this will boot into diag mode, where you can select download option and use qfil method of the tut i linked earlier.
---------- Post added at 10:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:08 PM ----------
btw (2), drivers are very important. be sure to install them properly

The tablet is working just fine.. I manage to turn on/off screen using the cover/double tapping..
The question is.. what if my tablet powers off ? can I turn it on somehow with the power button ?
Wow, that looks rather unfortunate. So I just did a little bit of experimenting. I am BL unlocked and rooted, but with stock recovery at the moment so I'm not sure if a 100% stock tablet will act any different.
As you likely know, simply inserting the USB/charging cable without holding any buttons will only charge the tablet, not fully boot into Android.
However, If the tablet is completely powered off, you can press and hold the Volume UP button for a short period while inserting the charging/USB cable and the tablet will power up and boot into Android. The catch is this: I'm not exactly sure how long YOU will need to hold the vol+ button. If you keep holding the vol+ button until you get to recovery mode then you are still sort of stuck since you are unable to use the power button as "enter" to select a mode. So you will have to experiment a bit to see just how long you need to hold the vol+ button.
See, I mention this since I am unlocked and rooted, and at boot time I will get a warning screen that gives me some cue as to when to release the vol+ button to boot into Android or to continue holding if I want to get all the way into recovery mode. If I release the vol+ button when I see the red "unlocked tablet" warning text then my tablet boots into Android. But if I continue to hold vol+ then my tablet boots into recovery.
So it will be tricky for you, but you are not totally stuck if your tablet were to power down on you.

Currently I have 2 issues. Number 1 is that I cannot find stock firmware for my phone on Frija. No matter what CSC code I enter it is unable to find it. However, this is not a major problem at the moment as I plan to use this random firmware if things go wrong as it resembles my firmware.
~Main Issue~
My main issue is that even though I have enabled OEM unlock and USB debugging in developer settings I am unable to unlock my bootloader.
I am currently using this method:
Code:
1-Turn off the device.
2-press Volume Down + Volume UP + Connect the USB cable.
3-You will see a warning and under it three options (Volume up: Continue / Volume up long press: Device unlock mode / Volume down: Cancel restart phone.
4-Will choose Volume up long press: Device unlock mode.
5-Unlock bootloader page will appear, Under it are two options (Volume up: Yes / Volume down: No).
6-Press the volume up key.
The device will reboot and a message will appear telling you that the boot loader has been unlocked, Then press the power switch to continue.
7-Then press the power switch to continue.
8-The bootloader is unlocked, Done.
At step 5 the screen either only displays on the lower eighth of the device and shuts down or it shows the "bootloader page" but will not accept a volume up input press and powers down. Any advice on how to resolve this issue?
Update: I attemped to do a factory reset on the phone but the phone won't even boot into recovery mode! Holding PWR+VOLUP on boot does nothing!
what goes wrong?

finally got mine unlocked
first i did a factory reset from the settings not the recovery
i went through the setup without signing in,
activated developer settings , usb debugging . Make sure oem boot loader is selected
.. turned off the phone and pressed up and down as i plugged the usb into the phone
Then long pressed up until the menu changed press up again and it unlocked.
it will factory set again . go through the setup without signing in
activated developer settings , usb debugging .
now sure oem boot loader should be grayed out.
now if your intalling magisk follow the instructions
I was able to flash magisk and it went great for about 10 minutes. my bootloader relocked
if it happens to you just odin the full stock firmware and do the process again
